Secret Love

Ashton picked me up the next morning and we headed to their managers place for the meeting he wanted. Ashton said Luke, Michael and Calum would be meeting us there. Their manager lives about 20 minutes away and the whole car journey we were discussing what the manager is going to want to take about. I mean obviously we know why I’m going he has seen the pictures and everything so we are going to have a nice chat about that but that doesn’t involve the other guys so we couldn’t figure out what else they would be having a meeting for.

Ashton parked up and we saw Michael’s car already there.
“Come on babe, lets get this over with” he said getting out of the car
“This is going to be such a nice chat I can tell” I mumbled before getting out and joining Ashton at the door. He knocked and we waited a minute until Luke opened the door
We walked in and everyone was sitting around the dining room table
“right everyone is here lets get started” Their manager said as we sat down at the table. Luke was on my left, Ashton was on my right, Michael and Calum on the other side and their manager at the head of the table
“So we have a few things to discuss today, I’m just going to jump right on into it”
Everyone just stayed quiet for him to continue
“We had booked for you guys to record your album”
Michael and Calum wooped and High fived each other and Luke and Ashton did the same thing over my head.
“That’s great guys” I said giving them all a smile
“That’s not all, you are recording in Los Angeles California and you will be out there for about 2 months along with doing a few shows out in America too”
My face fell, they’ve only just come back from a tour and the time difference between LA and Sydney is even more ridiculous than England and here.
Ashton looked down at me with a sad face as well obviously thinking the same stuff as I am right now.
“When do we leave” Michael asked
“in about a week”
“Great” I mumbled and Ashton must have heard because he put his hand on my knee and squeezed a little.
“I’m so proud of you guys, you know that right” I said
“We know Olivia, you’re our number one fan” Calum said
“Yeah and I’m sure you could come out to LA” Luke said
“With that, that brings me onto the second thing I would like to discuss” their manager said
“It’s to do with Ashton and Olivia, so you three could go if you want”
“No whatever you have to say, they can be here for it” I said
Ashton grabbed my hand under the table and tried to shuffle his seat even close to me even though there was already no room between our chairs
“Okay so I’m sure you have heard about the pictures and I just want to get one thing straight first”
“No we are not engaged” Ashton said
“okay good, but like I said before, you guys are meant to stay under the radar and you clearly haven’t and that has resulted in this big scene in your fanbase about you guys and that’s what we were trying to avoid”
“We went on holiday to somewhere that was meant to be remote it’s not like we were out in the middle of Sydney like that, we were in Bali, it’s not our fault someone invaded our privacy” Ashton snapped
“I know that, I’m not saying this is completely your fault this has happened, but you were meant to stay single and now the pictures go against everything you have been saying, so we want you to break up”
“WHAT” I screeched standing up and both Luke and Ashton grabbed my shoulders to push me back into my seat
“I’m not breaking up with her” Ashton simply stated
“You don’t have to break up in real life, just make it seem like you have broken up to your fans”
It was suddenly clicking in my mind. Ashton said they had a while off after the tour in England, but now they are suddenly being shipped across the world for two weeks.
“I’m sorry but I love you guys I really do and I’m so proud that you get to go to LA and record a fucking Album, but I can’t help but think of the timing. You have clearly scheduled this to get Ashton away from me to make this little break up plan work.”
“You are correct. They weren’t meant to be going for a couple months but after this incident I pulled it forward” he said bluntly
“That’s ridiculous, I’m not breaking up with her and I’m not pretending to either.”
“I think this is going too far, what is the big deal about Ashton and Olivia being public, it’s not like all of us have girlfriends, it one of us” Calum said
“Yeah and I mean the fans shouldn’t stop liking our music because someone is taken” Michael added
“Yeah like they are real people, you’re messing with a real relationship, you are looking at it at a money making side of things, but look at it from human relationship. You’re putting a couple who are going on 3 years to hide and fake things and avoid each other in public and pretending to be single. That’s not fair to them and wouldn’t it be better to have a member of our band happy and in a good place than miserable from hiding someone he loves” Luke said
You go Luke, you go. I smile at him and he returned the smile
“Well I don’t care what you say, but I took this pictures coming out as a sign that it’s time to stop this and just let Olivia and I be us.”
“Well either way you’re going to be in LA for two months”
“Whatever, but we’re not breaking up, you don’t own me, the boys might be under you, but I’m not” I said.
“Is this it, can we leave” Michael said
The room was very cold, Ashton and I were pissed and the other guys could just sense we needed to leave before it got worse and worse things being said
“No we have one more thing”
“Go on” Calum said
“You’re going to be on Sunrise tomorrow, its to announce the beginning of your recording for the album and to discuss the past tour overseas and what’s next”
“okay but you do know they are probably going to ask about Ashton and Olivia” Luke said
“Yes and I want you to politely decline the questions and move on”
“I can’t promise that” Ashton whispered and only I heard
I just huffed and got up from the table and waited by the door for them to finish off. I can not believe it. Did they really think for a second that Ashton would agree to pretend to break up with me just to please his littke 12 year old fans who can’t handle him having a girlfriend. I’m sorry but they aren’t fans, Fans wouldn’t mind and would like seeing someone they look up to happy and shouldn’t it be about the music anyways and not their personal life. His fans should be old enough to know that, yeah okay they might get heart broken for a second because their “celebrity” crush has a girlfriend but whatever it happens all the time they can’t expect him to be single for the rest of his life.
I was deep in thought when I heard the front door open
“come on babe, we’re leaving” Ashton said snapping me out of my thought and taking my hand and heading back to his car. We said bye to the guys are they got into Michaels car.
The rest of the day we just spent at Ashton’s house relaxing and talking about his 2 months in LA and everything else.
