Let My Love Open the Door to Your Heart

I would have told you

I'm at work putting away some things when I hear footsteps. I look and see Adam.

"Hey Adam," I said.
"Hey."
"Missing Ken?"
"Yeah. How is Mike?"
"He's good. He likes that he gets to go to school."
"That kid likes routines.”
"He doesn't like surprise that's all."

He looks at me and I rolled my eyes and start cutting his hair.

"Did you hear about the news?" He asks.
"What news?"
"Ryan is going to be training with me and Ken," He said.
"But isn't he just going to come to get the work outs that he likes away from all of you?"
"That sounds like he doesn't like us. I know Blake doesn't like us."
"Blake is having a problem with me introducing Ken to Mike that's all. I don't think it's really a thing to deal with you."
"If you say so."
"It also Mike likes playing with you the way he plays with Mike so he feels like you are replacing him."
"That makes a lot of sense."

I nod my head and finish cutting his head. I take off his apron off.

"There you go all done," I said.
"Thanks."

I nod my head and go and get the things in disinfected before grabbing my phone and see that Ken text me that he loves his bike making me smile glad that he's happy with the choice he made. I see that I’m on a break so I get a cup of Coffee and go outside and call Ken.

"Hey," Ken said.
"Hey. How is it going?"
"It's great. The bike is so good."

I smile as I listen to him talk about how much he likes the bike while I drink coffee.

"So how's work?" He asks.
"It's normal. I'm worried about Mike."
"So everything is normal because you always worried about Mike."
"Yeah but he's my baby."
"How are you and Blake?"
"He wants to say something but I don't know what it is."
"I'm thinking about a new tattoo."
"Think long and hard about it because it's on you forever."
"Have you ever thought about getting one?"
"Yeah of a few things. I actually went in to a shop and talked about it with artiness."
"What stopped you?"
"I didn't see the right tattoo arties he didn't want something so cute and have to be done perfect."
"I see."
"So when you getting it?"
"When I'm back there."
"That's cool. I better go inside before someone takes a walk in form me."
"Got it bye."
"Bye."

I hang up and walk inside and get back to work.
I'm pull up to the house and get out and see Mike on the couch asleep. I kiss his forehead and walk to the garage and see Blake looking at the box he made.

"Thanks for doing this Bro," I told him.
"No problem. So you’re not going to Monster Cup?" he asks.
"Nope. I have used up all my days when I go to the wedding," I said.
"Right."

I sigh and lean against the wall and look at him.

"Just say whatever is bothering you," I told him.
"I just don't want you with Ken ok. It was cute when it was innocent and just dating but being serious it doesn't set well with me."
"Why?"
"I don't know that's why I haven't brought it up. I just don't like it."
"He treats me really well. He treats Mike great too. Most guys even Ryan age can't handle me having a son Blake."
"How do you know that?"
"I dated older guys before. The minute I mention I had a son they didn't talk to me again. I really didn't think anyone in their early 20's would have handled it the way he did."

He sighs and looks at me.

"I can't tell you why I don't like him right now. I would have brought it up when I know," He said.
"Got it."

I sigh and go inside and see Mike looking over the couch.

"Mommy," He said.
"Hey baby."

I walk over to him and kiss his forehead. I pick him up and sit him on my lap.

"What do you want for dinner?" I ask.
"Pizza," He said.
"That sounds good. Let's go ask uncle Bake."
"Ok."

I carry him to the garage and Blake smiles at him.

"Had a nice nap?" Blake asks.
"Yes. Do you want Pizza for Dinner?" He asks.
"Yeah that sounds good."
"Is that the thing for my bikes and tack?" He asks.
"Yes."
"Let's fell it up."
"Got it."

Blake picks it up and carries it in. He sets it down. I put Blake down and grab my phone and see Ryan text me asking how it's going with Blake. I walk to the garage and call him.

"Hey," Ryan said.
"Hey. How is the wedding planning going?" I ask.
"It’s good. What about with you and Blake?"
"He doesn't like me with Ken."
"Why?"
"He says he can't find the reason for it."
"That sucks."

I sigh since normal Ryan is a lot more help than just saying it sucks.

"How do you feel about me and Ken dating?" I ask.
"Dose he make you happy?"
"Yes."
"Then I’m fine with it."
"Thanks Ryan."
"No problem. Lindsay wants to talk to you."
"Ok."

The phone gels passed.

"Hey," Lindsay said.
"Hey," I said.
"I got the bridesmaid dresses for the wedding and Mike’s outfit."
"That's great. How excited are you?"
"Super excited."

She starts talking to me about all the wedding things making me smile since she's happy about the wedding.

"I have a question," She asks after ten minutes."
"What is it?"
"How do you feel about Ken?"
"I like him."
"You introduce him to Mike."
"Yeah I know that."
"Are you sure it's not more?"
"What you mean?"
"Maybe you love him."
"I don't know."
"When you think about your wedding who is the groom?"
"Ken but I’m dating him so shouldn't that be it?"
"Dose that freak you out?"
"No."
"Did you love Cater?" He asks.
"Nope."
"You might want to think if you love him or not. If you don't love him then you guys need to break up and just be good friends."
"Ok bye."
"Bye."

I hang up and sigh then order pizza before walking in and sitting down next to Mike. He moves and sits on my lap.

"Why haven't you put the bikes away?" I ask.
"Can you paint it so the twucks match the bikes?" Mike asks.

I look and see that Blake put blocks in the little gate areas.

"Those are rigs," Blake said.
"Got you. I can see about painting them but it's be simple the color and the team name."
"Ok."
"I do that tomorrow."
"Good. You need to get the right paint?"

I laugh and kiss his face. I grab a crayon that's on the coffee table and start labeling the rigs with the team names that Mike's tells me.
