Somebody to Die For

Atlanta

Kira and Elektra weaved through the practically empty streets of Atlanta. Kira wiped the sweat from her forehead and lifted her bag of supplies higher on her shoulder. Kira looked to the sun then back to the road, passing by empty building after empty building, getting supplies from the city was doubtful. She stopped in the middle of the street listining. Umm no groans. Which is the sound that the walkers usually make. Curiously Kira turned her attention onto one of the buildings, it was an old clothing store. "What do you say Elektra, think I could use some new clothes," Kira said posing for her Border Collie. The dog just cocked her head to the side as if examining Kira's used to be white tanktop and ripped jeans. Kira smiled and turned the corner into the alley loading an arrow as she was walking. Just as she turned she was cut short by the sound of a horse galloping into the city. Kira rubbed her chin, now I wonder who's riding that horse. She looked to Elektra, " want to go find out." Kira placed the arrow back in it's quiver and the bow back around her shoulder, and pulled out her machete. Taking off at a jog then slowly progressing to a sprint towards the noise. The two turned a corner seeing the bueatiful mare and a man wearing a sheriff uniform riding it. Kira decided to show herself to the man. "Well howdy there sheriff," Kira said in the most sweet southern accent she could muster up. The man looked startled by the noise, but seemed to calm down after seeing that they were alive. "oh hello miss," the man said hesitantly. "You look like you've seen a ghost," Kira said teasingly. The man tipped his hat and jumped off of the horse, "you're just the first living person I've seen." " Yeah well I may just be the last that you see." The man looked down at the ground a small frown barely visable on his face. Deciding to ignore it she just whistled for Elektra to join them on the street. The man looked up at the dog then back to Kira, " lovely dog you have there." "Thank you," Kira said gesturing for him to follow her down the road. " You look tired, do you want to join me on the horse." Kira was quick to respond not trusting any human" No I'm fine." The horse's hoofs hitting the pavement was the only sound that the two heard for a while. Turning a corner tons of walkers looked their way and sprinted towards them. "Quickly get to the tank," Kira practically screamed towards the man. Kira pushed herself to a dead sprint slicing walkers heads open as she ran, " Elektra" Kira yelled at her dog looking back at her dog who was tearing apart walkers one by one. Kira came to the tank and began to climb up the side swiftly. Reaching down to her dog, she grabbed his collar and hoisted her up. "Help!" The man's screams filled her head and swimmed around inside her brain. He was still sitting on the horse, who was being dragged down by the walkers that quickly swarmed around him. " Get off the fucking horse!" Kira yelled as loud as she could in order to be heard above the hungry moans of the walkers. " Fuck" She watched as the man fumbled around on the horse helplessly. A walker reached for his leg about to take a a chunk out of him, she swiftly tore out her bow and loaded an arrow sending it through the walkers eye. The man looked up at her, and she instantly regreted looking him in the eye. His eyes told her that he was extremly scared and had no clue what to do. "Damn it, Elektra stay," Kira looked at her bueatiful dog kissing her forehead. Kira kicked off of the roof of the tank and landed on the ground, walkers instantly began to swarm her. Kira tore out her machete and charged them, hopefully she wouldn't get torn apart by these shit heads. Slicing and cutting she finally made it to the horse, it was on the ground and the man was no where to be seen. "Shit." The walkers were circling her and there was way too much to escape. Taking in a deep breath, Kira prepared herself for death but she wasn't about to go down without a fight. A walker grabbed her arm greedily, and she ducked down kicking it in the legs, sending it falling to the ground. Kira pushed her boot into its skull causing it to go limp. She heard Elektra yipping anxiously, she stole a glance at her dog tears instantly brimming her eyes. Wiping at her eyes she quickly got back to fighting the walkers, one tore at her shirt causing it to rip, but it didn't get its claws into her. She swooped around and pushed her machete into the geeks head, it fell to the ground in a heep. Pst, pst. Kira looked towards where the noise was coming from and saw the man croached under the tank looking at her hopefully. This was it this was her chance. "Elektra." Elektra jumped from the tank fearlessly, tearing a walkers head off in the process. She sprinted towards Kira tearing and ripping walkers apart on her way. Kira sweeped herself towards Elektra a grin forming on her face. She sprinted toward the tank clearing a path in front of her with her arrows and the help of Elektra. Finally she approached the tank, flying under it. Walkers reached for her but she knew that she was going to make it, she was hopped up on adreniline and taking out walkers like a machine. She grabbed the mans arm and pulled him along with her as she opened up the hatch at the bottom of the tank, she pulled herself into the tank and yanked him up with her. Elektra hopped into the tank without needing any help. Kira laid her head against the cold metal feeling a relief enter her body. "You were really something out there, better then I could ever be." The man broke the comfortable silence, much to Kira's dismay. She glanced at the man out of the corner of her eye and saw a walker in the corner next to him getting up. "Yo," she said gesturing towards the walker. The man jumped up pulling out his pistol, before she could stop him he had already pulled the trigger sending a painful ringing sound through her ears. She glanced at Elektra who was pawing at her ears and yelping. "Hey Dumb asses." Kira and the man looked at the walkie talkie at the same time. " Yeah you in the tank." "You there?" Kira practically leaped towards the walkie talkie, " yeah we're here." " Okay, listen closly, go through the top of the tank, and make your way through to the alley, i'll be there," the mans voice came through tough with a hint of childish. "Okay we'll be there." Kira grabbed her bag of supplies and the walkie talkie, also grabbing the pistol off of the dead body. " You ready," Kira asked the man gesturing towards the hatch at the top of the tank. "Wait," the man grabbed ahold of her upper arm, she looked down at him and saw fear lacing his eyes. "What's your name?" Kira thought this was the most stupid question to be asked at the moment but she took pity on the man. " Kira." "Okay, mine's Rick." "Are you ready Rick?" Rick shook his head signaling that he was indeed ready. Kira threw open the hatch and climbed out letting arrows fly the minute she saw an undead head. Gripping her machete so hard that her knuckles were beggining to turn white, adreniline coarsed through her veins fueling her will to live. Kira leaped off of the top of the tank landing straight on a walker, using her machete she stuck it so far into its head that it sent an assortment of blood on her shirt and face. She looked around her, seeing Rick following her she took off at a dead sprint toward the alley. " Hey." She heard a voice from the alley as she neared. She looked towards a Korean man who was wearing a red baseball cap, he looked no older then 20. "Come on." The man began to climb up the ladder, Kira looked at Elektra, and pushed her onto the ladder then followed after her so she wouldn't fall. When they got to the top they went straight down another ladder, and into another alley. Seeing two geeks she looked at the guy that helped them then pulled out her machete. She wasn't even able to take two steps before two men wearing full body suits ran out smashing the walkers with baseball bats. Kira grinned watching the men, it was quite amusing. She followed after the men and was instantly greeted by the barrel of a pistol. Instead of feeling fear like she should have all she felt was uncontrollable fear. "I should kill you right now," the blond woman said from behind the gun." Then why don't you." Rick looked at her like she was crazy after she said that. "Andrea," a dark skinned man walked over and put a hand on the blond womans shoulder. They both walked over to the window," you just rang the dinner bell."
