Dead Bodies

I could smell the dead body from a mile away. Literally. We were a mile away from the body. My senses are always on high alert when I'm around blood. Its weird that way. I'm sure Sebastian can smell it too, after all he is a demon. I look at him from the corner of my eye. We are following the group, quietly watching as they converse and walk through the crowd. Then I decided to do some digging...

The more information I have, the less I will need to go visit Imogen.
"Sebastian..." I mumble, and he give me a quick look from the corner of his eye. "Yes, Miss Annie?" he asks, and I swallow. This isn't a very good idea... buuuut its worth it.

"Give me your hand." I ordered, and he furrowed his brows in confusion. "Pardon me?" He asks, and I sigh. "I need your hand. Now." I say, and he looks at me finally. After a few moments of staring, he pushes his palm into my curled fingers.

I hiss slightly at the pain, but grip into his hand tightly. God it hurts. "Miss Annie. Are you alright?" He asked, and I bit my bottom lip. "Just dandy..." I say, and rip our hands apart. I look at my palm... no burn marks there. So he isn't really burning me. Its in my head...

I shook it slightly and sighed.

"Every time I touch you, it burns." I say finally. He looks at me carefully, his gaze calculating and hard. "I'm burning you? That's strange... the last thing I recall is you burning me." He remarks, and I nod.

"Yes. You had my blood and couldn't touch anything but me because apparently bathing you in ice water didn't work." I mumbled, and he caught that. "Now that is a detail you so pointedly left out. You bathed me, Miss Annie?" He asked, his tone, oh so obviously amused. I shook my head quickly. "Don't be ridiculous. I just put you in the bathtub. You ended up pulling me down once you figured that out..." I said, and watched as Ciel made a turn to a building. The group followed unquestioningly.

"I don't remember that..."

"You probably don't remember because you were drunk off of my blood... I think I'm going to have to take notes on the effects Phoelmogen seems to have on demons... and reverse."
I sighed at that last part. Sebastian only nodded, then stayed quiet. Leaving me to contemplate my thoughts...

...

"Undertaker?"

Reading aloud the name of the shop we were currently standing in front of, we stood staring up at the sign. After leaving the crime scene, having no better result, we came here. Why? I dunno.

"Yes, Young Master has an acquaintance who professes in the work of undertaking." Sebastian said, and I sniffed. It was certainly filled with something dead, that's for sure. I grimaced at the smell, and Sebastian only smirked. Probably knowing what it is that I am smelling.

I looked away, and stared at the shop door. "Well, aren't we going to go in?" I said finally, and opened the door. I looked behind me, to see our "guests" staring at me with startled expressions. "You can see where the door is?" Madame Red asked, and I deadpanned as best as I could with a blindfold on.

"Yes... I can." I said.

"And you're wearing a blindfold?"

"Yeah."

This conversation wasn't going to go anywhere, so I quickly turned and walked in. Preventing her from saying anything further. Pretty soon, everyone else followed...

The room we entered was very stuffy to say the least, and smelled sickly of death. And I mean sickly... I swallowed back the bile that reached up my throat from my stomach, and shook my head. Trying to free myself from the dizzyness that ensued. I looked up, and found no one other than Sebastian, Madame Red, Ciel, and Lou behind me.

"Undertaker!" Ciel called, and soon a loud creaking noise filled the room. It was then followed by a cackle...

Oh great. What now?
♠ ♠ ♠
Haha you know what's up. Undertaker right?

Anyway, sorry for the super short A/N life just gets in the way sometimes. But yeahhhh here we are now! That whole thing with Sebastian burning Annie now is also somewhat important. Just thought it would be good for character development if I added a kink in Phoelmogen. It works rather well... though it doesn't last long~

I think that if Annie and Sebastian are to become closer, something would have to stand between them right? Why not let that thing be complete different genetic code? I'm all up for dat chizz.

Actually, I was thinking of making another fic as well. Obviously like Girl in Power I won't be updating as much as I am Annie's Legacy, but its worth a try? It will be a "what if..." story and it mainly involves Sebastian and Annie in different situations. :) thought it might be interesting.

Look forward to the next chapter!!!!
