Stiletto

I jumped slightly as Ciel slammed down the newspaper on the table. Watching him scowl, I took a look myself, and gaped at it.

What?

No... that couldn't be...

"J-Jack the Ripper strikes again?!" I read aloud, I blinked underneath my blindfold, and then looked at Sebastian, but then looked away again, remembering what I had just seen a few moments before. "That's not possible. We got the Viscount..." I mumbled, looking down at my feet. I couldn't help but feel suddenly very shy when I looked at Sebastian now. And he didn't seem to call me out on it...

I tangled my hands in my apron, and shuffled, suddenly feeling very uncomfortable with the closeness I was next to him. Taking a few steps to the right, I looked at the tea set that was next to Ciel. "I know... it says that in the paper- Annie, are you feeling well?" Ciel paused, and I looked up at him. "Huh?" I said, and his eyes seemed to be examining me harder. "You look... a bit pink. No. Actually, you look like a tomato." He corrected himself, and I seemed to only blush harder. "N-no, I'm fine. Just a little w-warm I guess..." I said, and accidentally looked at Sebastian who was looking right at me. I internally screamed, and looked away. Ciel only seemed to stare longer at me, and finally looked away. "You're not working her too hard, are you Sebastian?" He asked, and I didn't look up to see his reaction.

"No Young Master, though Annie may still be tired from last night, even when I treated her so carefully. She even woke up earlier this morning..." he said. I blushed darker from the obvious double meaning in his words. Weather Ciel caught it, I don't know, nor do I wish to. "Hmm, well, seems we have more work on our hands anyway. Annie, why don't you go and rest. I can't have my maid be weakened now at a crucial part of the investigation." He said, and I nodded slowly. "Sebastian, escort her." He said, and I jumped. "N-no! I can w-walk!" I said immediately. I almost didn't even catch the stutter in my voice until now. Was I doing that the whole time? Who was I? Meylene?

"Annie, I don't think it would be a good idea fo-"

"R-really, I-I can w-walk by m-myself..." I said. Ciel only stared more, his gaze penetrating my insides. Oh how wrong his stare felt. "Very well." He said finally, and I nodded. Bowing quickly, I turned on my heel, and walked out of the room. Closing the door behind me.

...

I lied on my bed, curled up slightly, with my knees to my chest. I had a few text messages from Erin, telling about how he went to see Winter today. I'm not sure how I feel about that... then, a question popped in my head.

+
Me:
Erin. How are you able to pass through this dimension?
+

I watched as the minutes passed by, waiting for him to reply. There has been so much weirdness going on, I almost forgot about him... how was he able to do that? From what I know, he is only human...

+
Erin:
Ira gave me some of his power. Reapers can do this at will, so Ira turned me into a halfie and I can do it. I thought you would catch on by now... Missus Feral Kasaii ;3
+
Me:
Don't call me that. Bastard.
+

I turned off my phone, and watched the ceiling for a moment. After tasting some of Sebastian's blood, I was met with the need to not only have more, but also see his true form. Well... part of it. I saw enough to see the black wings, tight leather pants, buckles going across his chest, and stiletto heeled boots. THAT was enough for me. I don't even look at his face, and I was already a mess. Something so... unbelievably (and surprisingly so) attractive about that form... not to mention, I had learned something interesting about Sebastian as well.

One being that he was a human. I could taste it, in his blood. It was laced with this... earthyness that I couldn't pinpoint. Or maybe he was an animal... haha, nah he was human.

I closed my eyes. What was I supposed to do now? I'm perfectly fine. Nothing is wrong with me at all... but I don't think I would be able to look at Sebastian for a while. At least not in the eye...

I sat up, when I heard the door open. I let my breath out, relieved when I saw Meylene with a tray in her hands. "Miss Annie, Sebastian told us you were sick! So we thought we could take care of you!" She said. "We?" I asked, and right from behind her, popped out Bard and Finny on either side. "Taadaa!" They both said in unison. I chuckled. "Aww, how sweet." I said.

...

"Then she pulled out a gun, and shot em straight in the head. Pow! Pow! Pow!" I said excitedly, making a gun with my fingers and pretending to pull the trigger at my wall. All three of them gasped in unison. "And? And then what did she do?" Meylene asked, Finny nodded in response. Bard only gaped, his mouth open. "She sat back and watched as they tried escaping..."

"She let them go?!" Finny yelled, clutching my pillow. I only smirked, and nodded. "She knew she would see them again..." I said, finishing my story. Bard only blinked, his blue eyes glistened. "Does Anna see them again?" He asked, and I paused. I had just told them the story of how I had last fought with Ira and Erin. I looked down, and wondered. "We don't know yet..." I said, then looked up, meeting their curious expressions. "We will have to wait and see..." I said, smiling mischievously. They blanched, "ARRGHHH! A cliffhanger?!" They all groaned.

"Yeah yeah, get over it." I said, and two knocks were heard at the door. "Miss Annie, we're back are- well just what's going on in here?" Sebastian's voice sounded from behind the door, I turned and looked at him. I surprised myself when I didn't blush.

"I'm telling a story, why?" I asked, and watched as he smirked slightly, "Hmm, that so? Well, it seems you are well enough. Young Master would like you to help with the case, if you are feeling alright." He said, and I nodded. "Yep, lemmie just finish here and I'll be up in a sec, okay?" I said, and he nodded, glancing at the servants all sitting on my bed for a moment.

He closed the door, and I was immediately bombarded with questions.

"How did you do that?"

"That was amazing! You didn't even flinch!"

"How do you even manage that? That was incredible!"

I blinked, confused as to what they were saying. "Huh?" And Bard stood up, now in front of me. "You just talked to Sebastian, just like that. No reprimand, or even a glare..." he said, Meylene and Finny both started nodding in unison. "Must be because your young. Maybe Sebastian has a soft spot for kids?" She suggested, which immediately turned her into a blushing mess. "Aww, I would happily be the mother of his children, yes I would!" She said, and I couldn't help but pale at the thought. Mini Sebastian's running around the manor... uhhh.

I shivered at the thought, and let out a breath. "Well, I guess I just work with him often enough to get used to him? I dunno, I don't really tend to look to deeply into it I guess..." I said, and straightened out my uniform. "Anyway, I gotta go now. So bye bye." I said, and walked out of the room, immediately bumping into something hard.

"Ack! You cretin! Why are you standing in the middle of the hallway like that?!" I said, and I shoved Sebastian. He looked down at me through amused eyes. "I couldn't help but listen to the servants... they are rather taken with you as it seems." He said, smirking. I frowned, he was listening to the conversation? "Its not nice to eavesdrop on conversations, butler." I said, crossing my arms. He only rolled his eyes,, something you don't exactly see everyday, and motioned for me to follow him. The silence between us was a bit unnerving.

"What happened while I was gone anyway? Did you find out who it was?"

"Yes."

I furrowed my brows at his answer, "Could you elaborate? Who was it?"

"You'll find out soon enough..." he said with a sigh in his voice. I frowned. Vague isn't he? I ran a hand through my hair, and tried fixing the messy bun I always had on. "I need to cut my hair..." I said, and Sebastian paused this time. Stopped walking entirely, and so did I. I looked back, as I was ahead of him a bit. "What?" I asked when he only stared.

"Miss Annie... you never did tell me why you were so startled this morning." He said, and I blinked. I never did say why... though it should be obvious. "Tell me Miss Annie, what exactly was it that you saw?" He asked, and I looked down at his feet. Suddenly, my vision blurred. Not the normal blurred when you were crying and tears blocked your vision, and it wasn't the type of blurry when I was trying to adjust to seeing through the blindfold in the morning... it was the kind that felt like I was taking off contact lenses... my eyes were cleared all of a sudden.

My vision came back, but this time through Feral's eyes. A black and white world, with the color of aura floating about. But when I opened my eyes, that isn't what I saw...

"High heels... really high heels." I said, and that's exactly what I saw. Instead of the pointed shoes on Sebastian's feet, I saw heels that even a model would avoid. Black leather encased them, and the heels of the stilettos seemed to pierce the carpet underneath them. Do I dare to look up?

I do dare.

I felt my eyes widen at the buckles that were wrapped around his calves. They strapped the knee high boots tightly, and I could make out the curve of his leg. It went all the way to this thighs, those buckles and belts, and when it got to his hip, I noticed that his pants were leather as well. They were fastened with a belt and buckle, the buckle adorning a silver rose. My eyes stared at the bare skin of his hip... it was like I could see his veins underneath his skin, which remained white, only this time the gray in his skin a bit more evident. The veins weren't different colors, no, not at all. Instead, they were all different shades of red. The brightest red, I could see flow, it kind if looked like lava. The darker reds only seemed to tangle underneath his skin. The bright reds peaked up the surface. I let my eyes wonder up his hip to his stomach. Oh my. He was... he was built.

His abbs were prominent and toned. Very toned. The veins trailing a sort of lattice pattern across them. I was almost tempted to touch his stomach, to feel their pulse underneath my hands. But I didn't. Instead, I let my eyes wonder up to his chest, where two leather belts looped over his shoulder and across his chest to form an X. That wasn't the weird part. The weird part was how many chains he had around his neck, and how many were connected to the leather straps. What was he? A prisoner? I was then able to see his neck, which was adorned with a lace choker, studded with small spikes here and there. Then, there was the last part... his face.

It looked the same. Nothing changed exactly... but he looked different...

His eyes being the main part of it. There were veins all around them. His lids covered with the lattice design, and underneath his eyes were the darker reds, all tangled together. His lashes, if possible seemed longer, and thicker, and then there were his actual eyes. Those were an oddity alright. They were black, instead of his usual rusty red. The pupils a glowing red. His expression was one of calm... almost expecting. His lips parted in his almost smirk and I could make out a row of sharp teeth. Fangs poked out from under his lip, and grazed his bottom lip. His hair was longer. It reached his shoulders, and gently flowed around his face.

Behind him, I could see black wings folded tightly against his back.

"You're covered in leather and chains." I said, and Sebastian's expression changed. From calm, to completely shocked. "Pardon me?" He said, and I would have almost laughed... if I weren't so hypnotized.

"Sebastian... I can see your true form." I said.

Spool whattaya think of Bassy's true form? I didn't want to make him scary lookin, because... well... I mean... the man wears stiletto heels. What exactly is he gonna look like in stiletto heels? A stripper, probably.

And yes, the side effect from Annie tasting/drinking Sebbys blood is that she can see his true form. Its not as intense as it is the other way around buuut I'm still figuring stuff out for Annie and her powers. She's seriously a complicated character. I don't even know what the hell I'm doing. This arc is really choppy however. Especially when it gets to the end. Damn. I just reread everything and I just had to edit everything enough where I could not feel all shitty about uploading a chapter that makes no sense. But then, this whole story makes no sense lol so what's the point? Nahhh I love this too much.

But damn, this is going far. I'm rather proud. Did I say that already? Oh well.
