It was about 12:00 and it seamed like everyone liked me - at least I hoped so. Amanda's dad started asking me questions when Amanda, her mom and sister had gone to bed.
"So, how long have you guys been dating?" Her father asked
"Umm I'm not exactly sure a couple months now I think." I answered, I actually wasn't sure how long we have been dating hmm.
"And do you guys live together yet?" He asked
"Umm not yet but that's actually what I wanted to ask you, I know we haven't been dating for long but I truly love your daughter. So I was wondering if I could ask her to move in with me but later on in a year or so" I asked whispering and blushing.
"Oh most defiantly, I was hoping you would ask that." He said winking
"Thank you so much Mr. Macke" I said smiling
"Oh please call me Dave" Dave said happily
"Sure thing dad - I mean Dave" I said fast hoping that he didn't hear that I had just called him "Dad". Yikes.
"Haha don't worry kiddo. I guarantee you will be able to call me Dad one day." He said winking and smiling.
"Ya I hope so." I said smiling
Wow just thinking about that, me and Amanda married and having kids... Oh I hope so... One day... One day.
"So anyways tell me about yourself Mr. Duchene." He said
"Well I'm a NHL player for the Colorado Avalanche, I'm turning 23, I'm madly in love with your daughter, and ya that's pretty much it."
"Well I bet Amanda loves you just the same." He laughed
"Well I'll see you tomorrow kiddo I'm going to get some rest." He added
He walked up the stairs and I followed.
"And don't do anything while your in that room with my sweetheart" he chuckled
"I won't" I replied
I walked up the stairs into the room me and Amanda were sharing there she was just sleeping so peacefully. I didn't want to wake her up by getting dressed and I didn't. So I climbed into bed, wrapped my arms around her waists bringing her close to me and I kissed her cheek
"Goodnight my love" I whispered
