Exorcizamus

There was a loud knock on the door a little after eight PM. Dean stood from his bed, grabbed the pistol from the nightstand and checked the safety. The knock grew louder. He crossed the room and checked the peephole before groaning, and unlocking the door.

Carly pushed past him, and dumped the contents of her arms on the table before turning to face Dean, "I got some food and you some beer."

Dean sharply inhaled and smiled, "You are the best. Listen, I want to apologize for my attitude earlier. When monsters mess with kids, it really pisses me off."

Carly crossed the room and hugged him, "I understand. Also, there's this," she stepped back to the table and took a can of whipped cream from the bag. He raised his eyebrow, "What's that for?"

Carly blushed and dropped her gaze, "Well, I was thinking that we could use this, you know... spray it all over ourselves and then we can have some hot, dirty sex."

Dean dropped his head and stood there awkwardly, staring at her. Carly began to laugh, causing him to stammer and turn red.

"It's for this." She pulled a box from another bag and handed it to him. It was warm to the touch and smelt of cherries.

"Oh dear lord!"

"It's fresh, but they didn't have apple."

He waved her off and carried the pie to his bedside table.

"Hey now! I went and got dinner. Pie is dessert only!" Dean frowned as he handed the pie back to her in exchange for a Styrofoam container and a bottle of beer. He thanked her and opened the box, revealing a double bacon cheeseburger. He glanced up at her, wonder in his eyes and she could tell he was happy.

She excused herself to the bathroom and showered. As she washed, her mind wandered to Dean's face at her lame excuse of a joke, but she couldn't help but giggle. She wouldn't deny the fact that Dean was good looking. She'd have to be blind and have poor taste to think otherwise. Carly shook her head clear of these thoughts and turned off the water.

Wrapping a towel around her, she cracked open the door, letting the steam escape. She spent a few minutes drying herself and applying various moisturizers. She looked up into the mirror and noticed Dean watching her. She smiled at him and he quickly dropped his gaze.

She laughed and continued with her routine and exited the bathroom once she was dressed. She pulled back the covers and crawled into bed, "Goodnight Dean."

"Night." He lowered the TV volume and glanced over his shoulder at the figure in the bed. Dean knew Carly had been joking about the whipped cream, but the thought wouldn't escape his head. After nearly an hour, Dean turned off the television, stripped down to his boxers and climbed into bed as well.

The sound of Carly's phone ringing woke her out of a dead sleep. Dean groaned from across the room, muttering about turning it off. The phone flashed an unknown number and clock read four-thirty am.

"Hello?" Carly croaked into the phone.

"Miss Page?"

"Chance?"

Dean sat up and listened intently, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

"The man won't leave me alone. I've asked him nicely, but he says I'm too weak. Please, please help me."

At this point, Dean was already out of bed and nearly dressed. He took the phone from Carly, "Chance, listen to me. We are on our way. You can do this, stay calm."

Carly dressed quickly and grabbed her gun from underneath her pillow and took the phone back from Dean as he locked the door behind them.

"Chance, I need you to take deep breaths. Stay on the line with me, okay? We're coming for you!"

Suddenly the line beeped and went dead, "Chance? Chance? Shit! Drive like your life depends on it Winchester!"

They arrived at the hospital in ten minutes.

Dean slammed on the breaks and threw the car into park. They entered the dark hospital and Carly could tell something was wrong. The emergency generator was running and it was eerily quiet. No beeping machines, no nurses to be seen, but a TV blared from the waiting room. Dean motioned for her to go one way and him the other.

As she walked, her weapon drawn, she felt a slight tug on her shirt. An apparition of a little girl stood there, holding her finger to her lips and ran off ahead of Carly, ushering her along. As they walked she could see more apparitions standing around her. She nearly gasped when she recognized the nurse she had spoken with earlier. The girl stopped in front of a room, pointing before she vanished. Carly peeked inside and saw Chance sitting alone, his back to the door.

Carly brought her weapon up and entered the room. Chance turned when he heard her footstep. He smiled, before his eyes flashed black.

Carly's insides went cold, "You son of a bitch."

The entity inside Chance cackled, and stood, revealing blood stained pajamas, "It's easy to make a child believe in things. Extremely, sometimes too easily. All I had to do was drive a nice, wholesome, spirit to the boys side and tell him a name. Works like a charm every time."

Carly could feel the tears welling in her eyes, "Please, just let him go."

The boy threw his head back in laughter, "Come now. I haven't had all my fun yet. The boy and I have much to do still."

"What can i do to make you leave him?"

The demon inside cackled again, "Oh, Carly, I think you already know.."

Carly's eyes never left Chance's and she managed to see a few lingering spirits attempting to converge onto the body's parasite.

Unfortunately, the demon noticed as well, "Weakling scum, you are no match for me."

"Yeah? Well try this!"

Suddenly a balloon, which Carly presumed was filled with Holy Water, was chucked through the air landing just below the boys shoulder. A scream pierced the air as the sound of sizzling started. Still using Chance's body as a weapon, he charged towards Dean.

"Exorcizamous te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio inferalis adversarii, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica."

The demon twitched and turned towards Carly, who began chanting with Dean. Suddenly, Chance stopped, before his body started twitching more violently; a long tendril of smoke began to make its escape from the small boy's mouth.

Carly knew she had to recite the exorcism quicker.

Suddenly, the smoke dropped to the floor and formed a circle around Chance's feet. The black ring turned red as it burned a circle into the floor, signalling the demon's return to the underworld.

Dean stood across the room staring; amazed by the fact that Carly had managed to recite the encantation so quickly. He watched as the boy ran across the room and into her arms, where Carly craddled his head as he cried into her shoulder.

When she met Dean's gaze, there were tears in her eyes.

Dean called the local authorities about the situation, and social services was notified about Chance. A distant family member was contacted and took custody of the boy.

Before they left, Chance thanked them both, and they received hugs. They made him promise to not talk to strange things and he promised that he wouldn't. Dean escorted Carly from the hospital and listened to her quietly sob on the drive back.

He unlocked the door and let her slide past him into the dark room. Quietly, he watched her grab her clothes and disappear into the bathroom. Dean let out a deep sigh and stripped dow to a shirt and boxers, pushed the covers back and climbed into his bed. He waited for her to exit the bathroom, before attempting to fall asleep.

The bathroom door opened and Dean pretended to be asleep. Carly climbed into her bed, and quietly sobbed into her pillow. Dean quietly laid there for what felt like hours listening to her cry. He glanced at the clock and made a decision, "Carly..."

She immediately stopped sobbing.

"I know you're awake." He threw the covers back and stood between the beds. In the dark, he saw her turn and face him.

"Yeah?"

"Move over."

Carly, surprised by his actions, stared up at him, "What?"

Dean groaned, lifted the covers and placed his butt on the edge of the bed, and added a leg until she slowly began to move out of his way. She rolled away from him and faced the wall.

Dean placed his hand on her arm, and gently pulled her around to face him. She stared at him, eyes wide, unsure of what his intentions were, until he beckoned her over; where he wrapped his arms around her. He placed his hand on the back on her head and stroked her hair, wanting to comfort her, not make her cry more.

"I just don't understand why, Dean. Why manipulate an innocent child?"

Dean closed his eyes and took a deep breath, before he pulled her closer to him and lightly kissed her forehead, "I don't know Carly. There are some sick, twisted demons in this world and theirs. Lillith possesed a little girl once, but that's why hunters were created, to rid the world of the things that shouldn't go bump in the night. I know it's bad and I don't even think Crowley would stoop that low, but we'll talk to him about it, okay? In the meantime, we took care of the situation and Chance is safe."

Carly nodded into his chest, sniffling. Dean kissed her forehead again, "Get some sleep, and we'll go kick some demon ass in the morning."

Carly was asleep before she finished her sentence.
