Sidney was sitting on his couch watching Mrs. Doubtfire with his knee propped up with a heavy duty ice pack. He was out for a few weeks so he was spending his time at home with his family.
Addison was laying down, her head on a pillow in his lap, her dog laying at her feet like always, and her penguin stuffed animal in her arms. Greyson was asleep on a Pallet on the floor that Mario had made him before he left.
Sidney smiled at the sight in front of him. Maybe being injured and home wasnt such a bad thing after he. He was able to spend quality time with his children before the birth of his other children.
Jessica was now 15 weeks along and showing. The night before she had, had a melt down because she couldnt find anything to wear for the dinner they attended, nothing fit her comfortably, so Sidney sent her shopping with no limit, and sent Vero and Nathalie with her while Marc and Mario kept him company at the house. Jessica was carrying twins, his twins and as much as Sidney did for her and loved her she deserved the world.
"Sid im back" she said closing the door
"did you have fun" he asked
"I did, how is your knee" she asked leaning down from behind the couch, he looked up and she leaned down to kiss him
"sore, how do you feel" he asked. She walked around the couch and smiled at her sleeping son and daughter
"my feet hurt and my and my ankles are swollen" she frowned trying to catch her breath
"Iceburgh move" Sidney said, he removed the ice and picked up Addison, he limped over to where Greyson was and sat her down gently before covering her up. He stood up and walked back to the couch, positioning himself how he was before "sit down" he said, she sat down and sighed "give me your feet" he said
"babe your knee" she reminded him
"my knee has ice on it and a pillow on top of the ice, now feet" he said, she kicked off her sperrys and leaned back before placing her feet gently on the pillow. She smiled when he started to massage them. It was something he loved to do while she was pregnant with Addison and Greyson.
"Vero and Marc are trying for another baby"
"really" he asked, she nodded her head "he didnt mention it"
"she said they are having a hard time this time around so maybe hes embarrassed or doesnt want to jinx it" she said placing a hand on her growing stomach "I cant wait to find out what they are" she said, Sidney smiled
"boys, hockey boys"
"girls, just like me and Nikki" she said
"a girl and a boy, that way we are even" he said
"that would be perfect" she said with a big smile
"I dont care what we have, all I want is for them to be ok, and you to be ok" he said, she smiled
"i love you so much"

"hmm" she said opening her eyes
"I have to get to the doctor, you were suppose to wake up and take me"
"what? oh I forgot" she said sitting up, she sighed and yawned
"just get ready please and I will get the kids ready, nobody is watching them?" he asked
"no Sid, I fogot today was your day" she said, Sidney huffed and walked out, Jessica could already tell today was going to be a rough day. The day before he barely spoke 2 words to anyone, he spent all his time watching hockey. "im ready" she said, Sidney watched her before turning and walking out of the house with his crutches.
She wiped away a tear and put the kids in their car seats, trying hard not to strain her back, she got into the front seat and looked at Sidney
"I dont want to talk, please lets just get to the doctor" he said, she turned and put the car in reverse
"mommy can we listen to the radio" Addison asked
"sure sweetheart" she said reaching for the radio, just as soon as she turned on the radio, Sidney reached up and turned it off
"i have a headache" he said
"daddy" Addison whined
"stop it Addison" he said, she narrowed her eyes and pouted

"not right now please, just everyone be quiet" he said, Jessica glanced over at him before looking int he mirror at the kids
"dont be a jerk Sidney Crosby, especially to your children" she said quietly, Sidney looked at her before looking away. The rest of the drive was extremely quiet and uncomfortable. All Jessica could think about was hoping it wasnt going to be the day that started all the fights again.
