Revenge Is My Favorite Kind Of Game

I'm Finding Out In The Hardest Way

San Diego, California

Jacob sat on his deep green sofa where he was utterly bored. His life has been the same way for two years. Sure it was great to own three successful clubs and which was continuing to grow but he haven't felt true love since high school. He picked up the stack of mail his roommate brought. Well, she wasn't only his roommate but his ex-girlfriend, Tanya.

While glancing through the mail caught a glimpse of a woman on Tanya's Victoria Secret catalog. He couldn't believe his eyes and he felt a twinge of guilt sharpening in his gut. Just staring at those eyes, which once belonged to him, made him feel sick. Arionna, the once innocent, geeky girl he loved was now a woman full of sex appeal.

He couldn't help but stare. He saw her somewhere while he was in Huntington Beach but couldn't put his finger on it. He wanted to beat his memory for not remembering. Then an envelope caught his eye. Seeing from where it was from he couldn't help but smile. His high school reunion invitation.

He wouldn't mind going back and seeing how all the popular kids were miserable with destroyed marriages and dozens of kids. Jacob was pretty satisfied with his lifestyle just missing the presence of a certain someone. He may even surprise everyone and maybe stop by Arionna's old place to see if she possibly lives in Huntington still. He doubted seeing she was a model but he still had faith.

He looked down and traced her form on the cover. She probably wouldn't want to see him. The last time he saw her she had looked so betrayed and what broke his heart is that he did betray her because of Syn's threat and his own embarrassment. He wanted popularity and to be himself and he wanted it at the cost of her.

Huntington High

Jacob looked at the group who was always laughing about something they did whether it was getting drunk or having sex with someone. He always wanted adventure and fun like that but he mostly had been the cute smart guy. Not to mention nice. Who wanted nice? Exactly no one. Well no one beside Arionna. He did love her but he was never himself around her. She loved the man he put off but not the real one.

He gulped when he seen Brian's eyes meet his. Brian smirked and whispered something to Michelle, his current girlfriend. They were most likely using each other. He had other girls and she had other guys. That's how they worked out their relationship.

Jacob fidgeted as Brian made his way over to where he sat. Brian was always laid back and cool. He could be a little crazy but that's what the girls liked. He was also a complete jackass and as some girls say a 'bad boy.' That's what Jacob craved to be. It was his last year of high school and he never had fun.

"Such admiration in those puny eyes of yours." Brian said smirking sitting next to Jacob.

Jacob didn't answer him just stared.

"Where's that dork, shapeless girlfriend of yours?" He asked looking around, "You finally ditched her? That's good she was the only thing in your way."

Jacob was sort of mad that Brian called Arionna a dork and shapeless. She was two years younger than them. She still had to time for her body to fill. But what did he mean she was the only thing in his way?

"We all know if it wasn't for your parents and that girl you would be just like us. Don't you think I see you at the neighborhood park or even sometimes at the beach smoking pot or whiskey in your hand." Brian laughed.

Jacob was shocked. How did Brian know this? He thought he was always careful. He didn't want Arionna to find out because she hated smokers and thought alcohol on a person's breath was disgusting.

"What are you, in love with me now?" He said smirking.

Brian smirked back and that's how Jacob started the beginning of his emotion's end. Where his heart started blackening and he started losing Arionna.

He wondered if she truly hated him. She would never want to give him another chance. In fact, he heard after that school year was over she left Huntington for a year. He didn't actually hear it from anyone but from Payton. Then when he went to her parent's house to ask about it they called him everything from a heartless bastard to a pathetic excuse for a man.

"Are you going?" He heard Tanya speak breaking him from all the flashbacks that were giving him a mean headache.

He shook it off and stood smiling. He stared at the catalog and the invitation smirking.

"Definitely."

In two months he would be able to see Arionna...if she was back in Huntington.
