The Dog That Brought Them Together

Jessie's POV-

I sat down at a table at Red Robbin. Neil shoved his cup over to me.

"What?" I asked.

"Refill" He replied.

"I don't work for you... But okay." I said, getting up.

"Thank youuu Jess." Neil replied, dragging out the you.

I was turning back to the table, when I saw something flicker out of the corner of my eye.

I turn to see nobody but the one person I didn't want to see

Yep. Luke.

Quickly, I hurried back to the table, I slammed Neil's drink down on the table.

"Luke's here.. Heads up." I warned, sitting down.

"Shit." He whispered.

Luke casually sat down at a nearby table. He ordered his usual, and one of the waitresses brought it out. Neil eyed him suspiciously.

Luke looked over, and stood up.

"Can I Help you sir?" Luke asked dominantly.

Neil's POV-

"Erm. No." I replied.

"Uh-huh. So leave me ALONE." He stopped off.

"Well then." Jessie said.

"Uh-huh." I replied.

"All you ever say is 'Uh-huh' expand your vocabulary Neil." Jessie said.

"No." I said.

"Fine then." She said.

~Later that evening~

Jeremy's POV-

I heard voices outside. The kids must be home. I heard a thump on the door.

' OH DAYUM. Neil dun got er!' I thought

I peeked out the window, and saw them hugging.

Jessie walked in a minute later.

"Sup." She asked.

"Not much. What did you crazy kids do?" I asked.

"Eh. Went to Red Robbin, then came back."

"Anything... exiting?" I asked

She hit me on the head with a small box.

"Ow!" I faked.

"Yeah right." She said, putting the box down.

"So. What did you do outside just then?" I asked.

"Hugged."

"Uh-huuh.."

"Jer, imma kill you." She said, looking at me.

~Later~

Jessie's POV-

"So.. are you guys dating yet?" Kevin texted

"No." I replied.

"He'll ask soon. Wanna bet."- K

"No"-J

"Aw. But I could've made 50 bucks."-K

"Sucks for ya."

"Night Kev."-J

"Night Jess"-K

I laid my phone down, just as Jeremy burst into the room.

"Hi!" He yelped.

"..Hi." I replied.

"Have I ever told you how-" He began.

"How much money do you need?" I sighed.

"None... actually.. all of it." He replied.

I stared at him until he continued.

"Have I ever told you how cute you and Neil are?" He asked.

"I've heard it enough."

"Yep... But um. Stop spending so much time with him.. Pepper will die from loneliness."

Oh shit... I have a dog.' I thought

"I still feed her and stuff!" I protested.

"I fed her breakfast and dinner the past two days." He stated, putting her in my lap.

She licked my face, obviously she had missed me.

I texted Neil. "Okay, Screw movies..I need to spend time with Pep. Dog park?"

After a couple minutes, he replied

"Sounds great."
