All That I'll Ever Need

Eight: So In Love

“Iker did what?” Ella squeaked as she watched her friend. She was shocked, more than shocked perhaps, but she knew she had no right to Isla no. She was clearly in love with Iker and if she wanted to marry him, who was Ella to tell her no? “Iker proposed” Isla mumbled, her feet swaying a little as she sat on her bed. She knew it was a big deal, she and Iker had only been together three weeks, but to them both it felt right. They loved each other and wanted to show that love before Isla's time ran out. “And you said yes?” Ella questioned. Isla nodded. “I tried to tell him that it was too fast, that he was only asking me because he felt bad, but he convinced me otherwise. I love him Ella, more than I thought possible and I want to do this” she explained. She wasn't stupid, she knew what people would think, but she couldn't bring herself to care. She wanted Iker and Iker had made it clear he wanted her. “I have no doubts about that Isla, I am just worried for him. You could die and that would leave him broken” she noted. Isla nodded her head. She knew how much it would hurt Iker should she die, but she figured he was already in too deep. Iker was as in love with her as she was with him and there was no escaping it. She'd allowed him to get too close already. “When is the wedding?” Ella questioned as she sat down beside her friend. There was no changing Isla's mind and she didn't want to try, her friend deserved to be happy, even if it was only for a short period of time. “Iker is looking for a friend to play witness. As soon as he finds one, I will become his wife” she murmured. Ella nodded her head softly before she wrapped her arms around her friend, offering her a warm embrace. “I am happy for you Is, Iker's a sweetheart” she mused. Isla nodded her head. Iker was a sweetheart and that was why she was so sure about what she was going to do. He wanted it just as much as she did.

“You cannot be fucking serious Iker, you've known the girl for 22 days, not two years” Sergio's voice was harsh as he spoke. Iker shifted a little in his spot before he let out a sigh. He knew it was a long shot, Sergio wasn't just about to accept his decision, but he wanted his friend with him. He'd always imagined that the defender would be his best man when the time came for him to marry. “I am aware of that Sergio, but this is what I want” Iker spoke gently. Sergio offered his friend a look before he shook his head, still in disbelief about what he had asked. He knew how taken Iker was with Isla, it would have taken an idiot to have missed the way he looked at her, but still it was, to Sergio at least, a stupid idea. 22 days was not a long enough to fall in love. “I know it seems fast, but there is a reason for it Sergio” Iker mused gently. Sergio cocked an eyebrow, urging his friend to speak. Iker pushed a hand back through his dark hair before he sighed. He didn't want to tell Sergio, it was Isla's secret to tell, but he knew it was the only way to convince Sergio. “She's sick Sergio” he mumbled. “How sick?” Sergio returned. Iker swallowed a little. “She's dying and that is why I have to act now. She's only got a few months left unless a donor turns up” he explained. Sergio paused for a second. “And you love her that much?” he questioned softly. Iker nodded without hesitation. “I can't explain it, but I want her Sergio, I want her” he murmured. Sergio scanned his face for a moment before he nodded his head. “Then of course Iker” he mused. Iker offered him a wide smile. He knew it was fast, too fast, but he didn't care. He wanted Isla.

“You look perfect” Iker smiled as he scanned his girlfriend’s figure, a smile fixed on his face. It wasn't anything extravagant, she merely wore a pretty white lace dress, but still it looked wonderful, so wonderful it made him wanted to run his fingers down her sides. Isla flushed a little before she turned to Sergio, offering him a small appreciative smile. “Thank you for doing this for us” she murmured. Sergio waved a hand. “It is nothing” he mused. Isla offered him another smile before the official moved into the room, greeting the couple with a soft smile. “Miss Murray, Mr Casillas, we are ready for you” she smiled. Iker offered the blonde woman a polite smile before he laced his hand with Isla's. “Are you sure that you want to do this?” Ella questioned. Iker spared Isla a gander before he nodded, a smile spreading across his face. “Certain” he smiled. Isla's cheeks warmed a little before she nodded her head, her hand tightening it's grasp on Iker's.

“Do you, Isla May Murray take this man, Iker Casillas Fernandez, to be your husband?” the official questioned. Isla allowed her grey eyes to study Iker for a second before she nodded. “I do” she whispered. Iker smiled at her gently and squeezed her hand, assuring her that it was the right thing to do. “Do you, Iker Casillas Fernandez, take this woman, Isla May Murray, to be your wife?” the blonde woman questioned. Iker flashed another smile and nodded his head. “I do, of course I do” he mused, his confident tone making Isla smile. Sergio and Ella spared a look before the official smile, closing her book. “Then I pronounce you husband and wife. Mr Casillas, you may kiss your bride” she grinned. Iker offered her a nod in thanks before he turned to Isla, his brown eye scanning hers. “I love you so much” he whispered, his large hand pushing her dark hair from her eyes. Isla smiled gently. It was too quick, too rushed, but she didn't care. She was so in love with Iker. “Te amo Iker” she murmured before she pushed herself up onto her toes, her nose nudging his a little. Iker smiled at her once more before he placed his hands on her hips, his lips pressing tightly to hers.
