I've Died a Thousand Times

nineteen

A maid told Percy it was urgent, that he had to come immediately. He politely excused himself from his meeting and asked his guest to return at a later date.

He walked swiftly towards the throne room, thoughts racing. The maid didn't tell him anything else, he wasn't sure what to expect.

The doors opened and he gave a small thank you to the two servants, they bowed their heads.

As he made his way to sit on his throne he warily eyed the two men wearing the seal of his aunt's kingdom and the wooden chest they had by their feet.

"You may speak," was all Percy said.

The men bowed their heads, one pulling out an envelop from his pocket and unfolding it.

'Your Highness, your father wrote in his will to send this gift to you aunt, Queen Eleanor if he were to pass. However, she wishes to return it due to its unpredictable behavior" He announced. He and his companion moved the chest forward, and Percy asked them to open it.

He didn't expect it to be a human being inside, nor did he expect to remember who it was.
