Tendrils Of Night

Tendrils Of Night

The shadows creep up the wall.
Slits of light fade between the cracks in the blind.
The cracks in the window.

Light shatters the glass and throws it across the room, shards blinding and maiming and hurting.

The shadows creep up the wall.
And takes away the blinding light.
But the night does nothing for the scars.

The shadows creep up the wall.
Tendrils of darkness crawl into every corner, reaching, groping.
Tendrils to suffocate.
Tendrils to kill.
Pulling, tugging.
Invading and destroying, they reach further.

You cry, alone.
The shadows creep up the wall.
You fall, alone.
Into the darkness.

And the shadows creep up the wall.
