The Light Behind Your Eyes

The Light Behind Your Eyes - Chapter 3

I was unconcious for a fair amount of time.
My entire life flashed before my eyes, and i could hear voices shouting around me.
But i couldn't do anything.
I couldn't see my brother Mikey.
I couldn't say anything.
I couldn't assure anyone that i was going to survive.
Because i wasn't sure if i would.

I felt myself being carried away on a stretcher, and a voice shout behind me.
"Wait!" a familiar voice yelled.
I wasn't sure who it was, but i did at the same time.
They were panting a lot from running.
"I'm going with him" They said.

I felt myself being put into an ambulance, and the rubber wheels glide softly along the hard ground.
I could feel it all.
Someone, the guy who had came with me, was sobbing.
"Gee... It's Mikey... if you can hear me, please wake up... please" He said, in his normal high pitched voice.
My eyelids started to flutter, but i couldn't open them.
I just couldn't.
They felt like they weighed more than the whole band, including me, put together.

I finally built up the courage to open them slightly.
"Mikey..." I said, sleepily.
Mikey looked up with a start.
"Gee..." He said, calmly.
The light behind my eyes started to fade.
My younger brothers eyes widened.

"No! Gee! You're gonna make it! You are going to survive!" He shouted, panicking.
I drifted off again, and was soon out cold.
My breathing slowed down, and my limbs felt weak.
No... Not now...
