Mike’s POV- August 2014
I parked the car and I followed Marisol in.

“Isaac!”

He popped in and walked over.

“Your phone has been ringing nonstop”

“Why don’t you answer?” I asked.

He scoffed and looked at me. He looked really offended.

“It’s not my house”

I laughed and he looked at Che who whined lightly at him.

“Let’s eat? My fiancé kicked me out for the night. My place is covered in white fabric”

Marisol laughed.

“Your heels came in and you need to send seating arrangements”

I nodded and Marisol looked at him.

“I left them on the table”

He looked at her.

“And those are your final seating arrangements?”

She looked at him.

“Look over them and make sure Mike’s family is near us”

He nodded and left the room. I looked at her and I laughed.

“We could just mix them up?” I suggested getting a smile from her.

“The salon needs a seating arrangement and there is a kids room”

I nodded.

“Good, we have a lot of them in the team” I said.

“And so do our families”

I nodded.

“Very true, did you ask Brandon?” I asked.

She nodded; I had suggested he helped out with the photography and film during the wedding. Kara needed pictures of our outfits so you know what a better photographer than family. We had another set of professionals but you know we had private pictures we wanted.

“Yes I did and he said he would be honored”

I nodded and she smiled.

“Can we eat?”

I laughed and Isaac handed Marisol a piece of paper.

“Mike, look at the seating arrangements”

She handed me the paper and I nodded slowly. Most of the team was mixed up with the people they knew.

“Trying to get Jonny with Erica?” I asked.

Erica was a Forensic toxicologist in Chicago. Her and Marisol were childhood friends. She was went to BU on a full scholarship. She has a BS in BioChemistry.

“Why would you say that?”

I laughed.

“Toes needs a nice girlfriend. He keeps getting involved with unclassy girls and he’s so handsome and successful. He needs Erica”

I shook my head and I walked over to the plates.

“Isaac your sister is being a match maker”

He laughed and shrugged.

“She is way out of his league”

I laughed.

“I still can’t believe they live in the same city and they’ve never met”

“Chicago is huge!”

“I think they did meet” I said clicking my fingers.

Marisol looked at me.

“No because he didn’t show for the pregame lunch we planned”

I nodded.

“Yes, I keep forgetting” I said.

She nodded and smiled.

“Isn’t she Tommy’s best friend?” I asked.

She smiled at me.

“She is not Tommy’s best friend, she’s Jason’s”

I nodded.

“Well I doubt Jonny will notice her. He is coming?” I asked.

She hummed and nodded.

“Called me himself, asked if he really needed to bring a plus one”

I laughed.

“He’d probably bring his mom” I noted.

She smiled and we got our food. We made our way to the living room and I looked at Isaac.

“You need to learn how to cook Mike”

I laughed and Marisol swatted her brother’s chest.

“He makes amazing grilled cheese”

I laughed and nodded.

“Your sister loves it” I noted.

He looked at me.

“She eats anything when she’s on her period”

“Ouch Isaac, your words wound me” I said.

He laughed and we continued eating. He looked at the TV and coughed.

“Before I forget”

She looked at Isaac and he sat up a little.

“Did anyone call Jake?”

She nodded.

“He hasn’t been answering his phone”

“Weird”

She nodded and the dogs began barking the doorbell rung and Marisol stood up.

“I got it”

We nodded and she left the room. Isaac turned to me and made a face.

“Planning a wedding is hard”

I laughed.

“You still need yours” I said.

He nodded slowly.

“July 11”

“No way” I said.

He nodded and smiled.

“She told me today, she wants to get married in the summer”

I nodded.

“Church and all?” I asked.

He nodded.

“Yes, she’s been doodling in her notebook. I’m wearing a bowtie apparently”

I laughed.

“Whatever makes her happy” I said.

He nodded.

“Honestly yes, I’m glad someone talked her out of extending our engagement”

We both looked up when we didn’t hear Marisol. I stood up and looked at him.

“Hold up” I said.

She appeared in the kitchen with two people behind her. I watched as Isaac’s expression changed from lover boy to pure hatred. I recognized one as their dad, and my guess is the person next to him was Jake’s mom.

“Isaac…office?”

He looked at Marisol and raised an eyebrow.

“It’s about Jake”

“What’s wrong with Jake?” I asked looking at their dad and stepmom.

“It looks like he injured himself”

I looked at Marisol who gave me a light smile.

“I’ll busy myself up” I told her.

She nodded and I kissed her cheek. I patted Isaac’s shoulder and he didn’t even blink. He was to busy glaring at his dad.

“We really need that fence” I said out loud.

Isaac looked away from his dad and laughed lightly.

“I’ll let you guys be then” I said getting the dirty plates.

They walked into the office and I washed the dishes we had used. I got my car keys and looked at them. Nah, I’ll wait it out. I walked outside and sat down on a chair we had out with a beer in my hand.
