Marisol’s POV- September 2014
Kara zipped my dress and Tommy smiled at me.

“You look beautiful”

Isaac nodded and Nana began crying.

“You look so beautiful. You look like a princess!”

I smiled and she covered her mouth.

“Your mom would be so proud”

I smiled and looked at myself in the mirror. The dress fit perfectly right now.

“So is Jason coming to the wedding?” I asked Nana.

“He said he is trying to get the day off but he will try”

I nodded and smiled.

“Can you walk in the heels?”

I nodded and looked at Tommy.

“Even if I didn’t you know me” I told him.

He laughed.

“Yea, you’ve done worse”

I winked at him and smiled at him.

“I want you to write a speech” I told him.

He smiled and nodded.

“I’d be honored”

I smiled and he looked at me as he grabbed my hands.

“Mike’s going to be drooling. So when am I becoming an uncle?”

I hit his bicep and he laughed.

“I’m serious. You’re next, I mean Jess is pregnant already”

My eyes widened and Nana hit him.

“She was going to tell her!”

“Oh whoops”

“Finally” I said.

He nodded and I smiled.

“Let’s see the veil”

Kara handed it over to him and he fixed it. He covered my face and I shook my head.

“I’m not a virgin” I said covering my face.

He looked at me.

“How many guys have you slept with?”

“Just Mike” I said.

He nodded and covered my face.

“Then you can wear it”

I smiled and he stepped back. The doorbell rung and Isaac went to answer the door. It was Jaclyn and Nicole.

“Oh my god you look beautiful”

Kara grinned.

“You did a good job, Mike is not going to be able to keep his hands off of you”

“Hey!”

I laughed when Tommy shook his head and cracked is knuckles.

“They can do that behind closed doors”

They laughed and I smiled at them and then…I started crying making Kara frown at me.

“They’re happy tears” I said as she dabbed my eyes.

“Why are you crying?”

I looked at Tommy.

“I’m getting married, I didn’t think this would ever happen” I said looking at Nana.

She smiled and looked at me.

“Well you are getting married and Mike loves you very much”

I nodded and smiled.

“I know he does, it’s just I’m happy and I cry now when I’m happy” I said.

Isaac laughed lightly and I looked at him.

“You look gorgeous”

I smiled and his phone buzzed.

“Ty and lady friend are at your house”

“Call Jake and ask him to ask Mike if we should buy food to grill?” I asked.

He nodded and took out his phone as they helped me out of my wedding dress. I slipped on my shorts and my blouse.

“He said yes”

I nodded.

“Text your husband guys and you guys will be going as well right?” I asked looking at my nana, her son and his wife.

“Of course Mar, we got to celebrate”

I smiled and hugged Nana.

“I need to ask you something though” I said.

She looked at me.

“You’ve been like my mom to me. After my mom passed away you raised me, Isaac, Tessa, Jake, and your three kids” I started.

She nodded.

“You had time for all of us and well I want to ask you something” I said.

She looked at me.

“What is it honey?”

I blinked and smiled at her as my eyes filled up.

“I need a mom at my wedding” I said.

She covered her mouth when she realized what I was asking her.

“Isaac and Jake are walking me down but I want you to hand me over” I said.

She nodded and wiped her face.

“Of course, I’d be honored to”

I smiled and nodded.

“And if you could make a small speech. You don’t need to say it in English. Spanish works as well” I said.

She smiled and nodded,

“My baby girl is getting married”

I smiled as she hugged me.

“Group hug!”

I smiled as most of the people in the room joined the hug. For once in my life, I was happy.
