Mike’s POV- September 2014
Kara fixed the button of my tux and she smiled.
“You’ve gotten thinner so I am going to reduce your waist size”
I nodded and she began pulling on the fabric and I let her. Isaac walked into the room and looked at me.
“Nice hair” I noted on him.
He flipped me off.
“I just woke up”
“Why were you up so late?” I asked him.
“Because we had meetings and I had to take Jake to therapy this morning. The boys are in London so you know the time difference is killing me right now”
I nodded and he sat down and took a sip of his coffee.
“Marisol asleep when you left?”
I shook my head.
“Nah, her and Toff were doing god knows what in the garage” I said.
He laughed.
“She’s teaching him how to line dance then”
I nodded slowly.
“It took you and Jeff quite a while to learn”
“It’s cause I’m white. I just know how to hockey and fish” I said.
He laughed and nodded.
“Of course you do”
He looked down at his phone and made a face.
“When are the boys getting in?”
He looked at me.
“I’m an asshole and got them a red eye flight”
“Good” I noted.
They laughed.
“Maybe they will actually be quiet” I said.
Kara laughed.
“They get whinier when they are tired”
I made a face and Kara tapped my waist.
“Be careful when removing your pants”
I nodded and walked behind this cut out thing. I slipped it off and slipped on my sweats.
“Have the boys met Jake?” I asked.
They looked at me and then at each other.
“No, but Jake is not going to like them”
“Why not?” I asked.
“Cause you know how much attention whores those 4 are”
I nodded, true.
“You guys have a point” I said slipping off the button down. I slipped on a shirt and Kara looked at me.
“You’ve been working out”
I smiled and nodded.
“I heard you chose a date” I said changing the subject.
She nodded and smiled.
“A summer wedding here in LA. It will be beautiful and hopefully you guys have some babies by then”
Isaac laughed and shook his head.
“Knowing them, they will be twins”
“Don’t jinx it Isaac” I said.
“What would you do if Marisol had twins?”
I shrugged.
“Raise them? It will be a lot harder but hey I chose to have kids. I don’t mind the challenge” I said.
Isaac nodded liking my answer and Kara smiled.
“God, I can’t wait until you marry my best friend!”

Marisol’s POV- September 2014
“You get married in a week and you got two new dogs”
“I did” I said looking at the newest editions of dogs we had.
Megan laughed and shook her head.
“Nala and Bucky”
I nodded.
Nala was a golden retriever where as Bucky was a pit-bull mix. Mike didn’t really like that I rescued a pit-bull but he had to deal with it because I wasn’t going to accept no for an answer.
“Jeff was mentioning that you guys are going to try for a baby?”
I nodded.
“We are” I said.
She smiled.
“Are you nervous?”
I shook my head.
“I’m ready, we get married on Friday and I hope it will all be good. The bridal shower is on Thursday and I’m actually quite scared” I admitted.
She laughed.
“Don’t be, it’s going to be classy”
I nodded.
“Jess is taking me to a spa day on Wednesday so I’ll be in pain a little on Thursday” I said.
She laughed.
“It will all be worth it though, have you stopped your birth control?”
“I stopped taking them in July” I said.
She smiled and nodded.
“And you’re certain that you are not pregnant?”
“I had my period recently” I said.
“And you haven’t had sex since then?”
“Yea we did” I said.
“With a condom?”
“We always wear one” I said.
“Will you stop?”
I nodded and looked at her.
“You get married in 7 days, well 8 if you count the big celebration”
I smiled and she clapped her hands.
“Everything is settled?”
I nodded.
“Hotels are reserved and everything I set for September 13. Jeff still going to the 5K” I said.
She nodded.
“Yes, with a couple of the team. That should keep them busy till like 3 or so. Your mass is at 4:30 so we’ve got time. We don’t need them anyways”
“Jeff is the best man” I said.
She waved her hand.
“Anyone could take his place”
I nodded and she smiled.
“You hooked Mike Richards”
I laughed and nodded.
“I did” I said.
My phone rang and I saw it was Nana.
“Hold up” I told Megan who nodded and leaned back.
It was Mike who was asking me if I could fix a guest room because he had someone who was staying with us.
“I wonder who that could be” I said.
Megan shrugged.
“I don’t know, maybe a family friend?”
I nodded.
“His parents are staying here for a few days” I said.
“But they aren’t here yet, not until Friday”
I nodded; they would get here early on Friday.
“Right in time for the wedding”
“Yes” I said.
“You got your dresses?”
“Yes I do” I said leaning back.
I heard the door open from the gate, but I shrugged it off since the dogs didn’t bark. The dogs I had were really protective, but softies when they saw Mike.
“Someone is here” I said as Che ran to the door wagging his tail.
He then started barking so my guess is Mike brought his guest. I stood up and made my way to the door and I laughed.
“I thought you were busy” I stated as I made my way over to Jason, Nana’s youngest.
He laughed and hugged him. He hugged me tight and kissed my cheek. He told me that he didn’t know if he would be coming or not because he had to ask some of his professors.
“I wouldn’t miss your wedding”
I pulled away and smiled.
“You brought a girl” I said as I smiled at the girl.
He nodded.
“My girlfriend Kathy”
I shook her hand and nodded.
“Marisol” I told her.
She nodded and I stepped back. She was more entertained by my house then by me. I shrugged it off and smiled at them.
“Come on in! Megan come here” I said.
The blonde made her way over and I smiled as she looked at him.
“He’s almost Jeff’s height”
I nodded and he shook her hand.
“Jason, and Kathy this is my friend Megan. She’s Jeff’s wife” I said
“Nice to meet you, both of you”
Jason nodded and looked at me.
“Jake is tall”
I nodded and I looked at my younger brother who stood behind them.
“How’s the leg feeling?” I asked as he hugged my side.
“It’s a little sore, but I’m good”
I nodded and he went to hug Megan who smiled at him.
“Are you ready for the wedding?”
He laughed and sat next to her.
“I’m a little overheated right now”
He fanned himself and looked at Che.
“Why isn’t he out?”
“Arnold and him are being lazy” I said.
He nodded and stood up.
“I need to go skype with my mom. Don’t worry no wedding or anything talk”
I nodded and he left. Jason turned to me and I smiled at him.
“Sissy is getting married”
“I am, when are you?” I told him.
He laughed and took a seat next to me.
“Not for a bit, I’ve been dating Kath for about 3 months”
I nodded and he looked at me. He was going to introduce Nana to her this soon though?
“I want to see your wedding dress”
I laughed.
“My last fitting is on Thursday” I told him.
He nodded.
“You can come” I said.
He nodded and my phone rang.
“Yea?” I asked.
“Jason in?”
“Yes he is” I said.
“Ok, we’ll be over in a bit. Tell Mike to clean the grill”
I laughed and nodded.
“Ok, I will” I told him.
“Bye”
I hung up and looked at Mike.
“We are grilling tonight” I said.
He nodded.
“Invite some of the guys” I told him.
Mike looked up at the stairs and cleared his throat.
“Toff!”
I looked up at the staircase to see Tyler leaning on the rail.
“Yea?”
“Call the guys, tell them we are having a BBQ and that they could bring food or beer”
Tyler nodded and took out his phone.
“Are you settled up there?” I asked him.
“Yea”
I nodded and I turned to Kathy who was still looking around.
“So Kathy, tell us about yourself. Are you studying the same thing as Jase?” I asked her.
“Yes”
I nodded and smiled.
“So, how old are you?” I asked.
“22”
I nodded and she looked around.
“So, you’re from Connecticut?” I asked her.
“Yes”
I nodded.
“That’s cool, a friend of mine is from there. Goes up there every summer” I said.
She rolled her eyes and looked around still.
“Who would do that?”
I looked at her a little surprised and I let it drop. I looked at her bracelet.
“That’s a nice bracelet” I told her.
“Thanks, my daddy bought it”
I nodded at her.
“Are you excited too hook a hockey player up?”
I looked at her and raised an eyebrow.
Strike one
“Excuse me?” I asked her.
She looked at me.
“Like do you actually like him?”
I laughed.
“Mike and I have been dating for almost 6 years. I think I like him very much” I told her.
“Oh, wow. I just assumed since he was loaded”
Strike Two
I nodded at her and I pursed my lips. I didn’t like her…one bit. Jason walked over and looked at me. I know I was giving him the bitch face. I know I was.
“Erica coming?”
As soon as he said Erica the girl made a face and I shrugged. She would be staying here as well, but I didn’t need to tell him.
“Well did she RSVP?”
I shrugged and he laughed.
“I didn’t handle that Jase” I told him.
He nodded and pulled out his phone.
“Because I call her and she isn’t answering my phone”
I nodded at him.
“I wouldn’t know Jase” I told him.
He nodded and left. I looked at Kathy and smiled at her.
“You don’t like Erica?” I asked her.
She looked at me.
“Not really”
“Why not?” I asked.
She sighed and shook her head.
“She’s an attention whore and she’s always calling Jason like who the hell does she think she is”
I blinked, but didn’t say anything. She’s his best friend that’s who she is.
“Is she not coming? Thank god because that would have made it really awkward”
I looked at her, she was kidding right.
Strike Three.
“She is coming and I don’t want you there” I told her.
The smile on her face fell and I coughed.
“Did I mention she’s like family?” I asked her.
I glared at her and Jason walked into the room.
“I’ll book your flight home”
She looked at Jason and glared at me.
“You can’t do that! My daddy won’t allow it!”
I looked at Jason who rolled his eyes.
“He’s a senator in Connecticut”
I laughed and looked at her.
“First of all this is my wedding and I’ll call your daddy and tell him he needs to take a break from his job to learn how to raise his daughter” I said making her gasp.
I made my way out I opened the door to see Mike on the phone. He gave me a smile and ended his call when he noticed I was mad.
“Why the frown?”
“Why does Jason have to date idiots?” I asked him.
He laughed and looked at me.
“I’m serious” I said as he hugged me.
“I know you are and I don’t know, it’s a curse maybe”
I nodded and he kissed my forehead and slightly nuzzled my cheek. Kara walked in breaking up our small moment and she smiled.
“Is there a reason why Jason wants you outside?”
I laughed.
“Do I actually need to call?” I asked.
Jason popped his head out.
“You know her brother?”
“Who’s her brother?”
“Francis”
I laughed and nodded. Francis, oh that boy I saved his ass many times from being arrested. Good friend though, I needed to give him a call.
“Yea, I went to school with him” I said.
“Her dad says sorry for almost ruining your day. He’ll send some flowers”
I laughed, Francis was her brother? I could see a slight douchy resemblance. He was studying law because his dad wanted him to study that. Mike knew who he was. Francis was bisexual but liked men more than woman. His family didn’t know that though.
“Hi boys” I said smiling at the 4 boys.
They hugged me and then proceeded to shake Jason’s hand.
“They’re my boys” I told him.
He laughed.
“They’re my height”
I nodded.
“They are tall boys” I said.
“We are men!”
“Man boys” I said.
They laughed and Kara kicked Mike out of the room.
“Since you know I decided to make your wedding dress first, I finished this one up last night”
She unzipped it and I smiled at the Dress
“I need you to try it on”
I nodded and I laughed as the guys left the room. I slipped off my blouse and shorts leaving me in my panties and my bra. I slipped on the dress and looked at myself in the mirror.
“It’s beautiful” I told her.
She grinned and I looked at the lace.
“It is so simple I did it all last night”
I looked down at my leg and she rolled her eyes.
“Your scar can be covered up”
I nodded and she turned me around to look at her.
“I was thinking we let your hair down on Friday and on Saturday we pick it up”
I looked at her and she started crying.
“Don’t cry because then you’ll make me cry” I told her.
She smiled and wiped her eyes.
“You look so beautiful and the dress is so simple!”
I laughed and she sniffled.
“Mike is not going to keep his eyes and hands off of you on Saturday”
She helped me out of the dress and there was a knock on the door as I slipped on my shorts.
“Who is it?” we both called out.
“Isaac”
“Come in” I said as I slipped on my blouse.
He walked in and looked at us.
“Why is Kara crying?”
“Was” I corrected him.
He laughed.
“I’m very sentimental. My best friend is getting married”
He laughed and looked at the dress.
“It’s so simple”
I nodded and he looked at Kara.
“She looks stunning in it though”
He smiled and nodded.
“Good”
“Boys” I said.
They peeked in and then proceeded to walk in.
“Time to try of your suits. Come on now get your boxes and proceed to strip down”
I laughed and made my way out of the office. I peeked into Jake’s room and he glanced up from his bed.
“You tired?” I asked him.
He nodded and I got the book on the bedside and lied down next to him.
“Ok, how about you take a nap while I catch up on this book” I told him.
He nodded.
“Read out loud”
I began reading as he cuddled up to my side. It was just me and my little brother bonding.

“Time to try of your suits. Come on now get your boxes and proceed to strip down”
I laughed and made my way out of the office. I peeked into Jake’s room and he glanced up from his bed.
“You tired?” I asked him.
He nodded and I got the book on the bedside and lied down next to him.
“Ok, how about you take a nap while I catch up on this book” I told him.
He nodded.
“Read out loud”
I began reading as he cuddled up to my side. It was just me and my little brother bonding.
