Counting Stars

Marisol’s POV
Kara fixed my dress and gave me a smile.

“You look stunning”

I let out a deep breath.

“I’m a little nervous” I admitted.

“Why?”

I looked at Kara.

“I don’t know” I told her.

She laughed and touched my ears.

“Where is Jake?”

I shrugged and there was a knock on the door. Mike’s mom popped in and smiled at me.

“Little one is looking for you”

I nodded and Jake walked in. He stopped to look at me and he smiled.

“Damn you look good”

I smiled and Jake stuck his hand into his pocket.

“I bought you some earrings since you know something new, borrowed and what not”

I nodded, my garter was blue/purple and I was wearing a brooch that Mike’s mom wore on her wedding day and I realized I did not have something new.

“They’re simple earrings but here”

He handed me the small box and I looked at him.

“Give me a hug” I told him.

He smiled and I hugged him as tight as I could.

“Well look at them”

I opened the small box and smiled at the earrings.

“I know you don’t really like wearing dangly earrings so I chose those”

I smiled and nodded.

“They’re beautiful” I told him as he got them and helped me put them on.

“There”

I stepped back and he smiled.

“Where’s Isaac?” I asked.

“He is with Mike fixing his tie”

I nodded and Kara helped me fix my veil.

“Jake, go see if Mike is ready”

“Got it”

He walked out and made his way out.

“Let me fix your make up”

I nodded and she retouched my make up.

“It is extremely hot out”

She helped me up and smiled.

“Ok, are you ready?”

I looked at her and nodded.

“Yes” I told her.

She nodded and smiled at me.

“I’ll see you out there then, Isaac and Jake will come for you. I need to go make sure they go in right”

I nodded and she kissed my cheek.

“Nothing can ruin this day. Have you told Mike?”

“Shhh” I told her.

She looked at me.

“There is nothing to be ashamed of Marisol. You guys are married”

I nodded.

“I know it’s just I’m only a month. What if I get my hopes up?” I asked her.

She gave me a smile.

“He is your husband and he will be ecstatic when you tell him that you’re pregnant”

I nodded, I had found out this morning after they called to confirm it. I had taken some blood tests and well Mike was starting to suspect due to the fact that I did not drink wine.

“I know he is” I told her.

She smiled.

“Baby Richards is coming”

I nodded and smiled.

“Don’t make me cry” I told her.

She laughed lightly and there was a knock.

“I’ll see you out there”

I nodded and she squealed.

“My bestfriend is getting married!”

She then ran away and I laughed lightly. Isaac walked in and he smiled.

“Mike is sweating like crazy”

I laughed and I fixed my veil.

“It’s hot” I told him.

He nodded and I peeked into the hallway. Mike was already inside. Jeff looked up and smiled at me.

“Are you ready?”

I nodded at him and they opened the doors. A light violin began playing and I took a deep breath.

“You love him, don’t worry. He married you already”

I laughed lightly and nodded as people began walking in. Kara looked at me as she began walking with the flower girls.

“See you in there”

I nodded and she walked inside. I let out a deep breath.

“Please don’t drop me” I told them.

Jake laughed.

“We won’t drop you”

I nodded and I smiled at my cousin who was taking pictures.

“Break a leg”

I nodded and the song changed. Isaac looked at me.

“Are you good?”

I nodded and we began walking down the aisle. I looked straight and smiled at Mike who gave me a smile and wiped his cheek. We finally reached them and Kara fixed my dress.

“Who gives the bride?”

Tommy, Jason, Isaac and Jake smiled.

“We do”

Mike reached for my hand and smiled.

“You look perfect”

I smiled at him and let out a small sob.

“No no no”

I smiled.

“I’m sentimental” I told them.

They helped me on my knees and I looked up at the priest. Let the wedding begin.
