Second Chances

Ezra’s p.o.v: I wish I could hear him. But yet I’m kinda glad I can’t. I know he’s talking because I feel his lips moving on me as he pulls my sleeve down to show my shoulder as he kisses it. I don’t want this. He’s my old best friend…. my ex best friend Killian. The original plan was to hang out but then he knocked me out and I woke up to him taking off my clothes and uh… prepping himself. I tried screaming but I had tape on my mouth and my hands and feet are tied. I feel him touch me and I hear him yell something. I am 50 percent deaf in one ear and 80 percent deaf in the other. But my good ear is on the ground. I am laying on my side. I feel him enter me taking my innocents. I sob out in pain as he does. My long curly brown hair is stuck to my forehead from me sweating.e
“Killian please stop!” I sob out muffled but I know in these case-scenarios they don’t listen to their victim. I pass out from all the pain. When I wake up he has me tied to a chair and he put my ripped clothing back on me. He rips the duct tape off of my mouth and I sob because I’m in so much pain and didn’t help
“I’m going to let you go now. I don’t care if you run but I know the little wimp you are you wouldn’t tell anyone. And if you do I will get you again and make this ten times worse” he seethes into my good ear. Well my right ear
“Now leave like the good little boy you once were” he chuckles and I bolt out of there I keep running until I run into some old lady
“Honey are you ok? You looked like you got ruffed up pretty well” she says but I barely hear her. Then I feel really dizzy and I see she notices then I fall to the ground and pass out.

I wake up later in the hospital. I open my eyes to see my step mom gasp and my dad with his head on the wall in frustration hitting the wall. My older brother Eros looks bored out of his mind and my other older brother Elijah looks inpatient. Then there is a random guy who’s most likely an interpreter. And a police officer. Because that’s what most people do in my situations, they get an interpreter. My brother Eli says something that causes them to all look at me. I’m surprised Eros looked away from his phone. He’s always sexting his girlfriend Winona Jensen

“Ezra Demarco. Do you know where you are or what’s going on?” the police officer says and the interpreter signs so I look at the interpreter
“I know where I am. I’m in a hospital. For what’s going on. No.” I sign
“You passed out from an adrenaline rush. Where you running from something?” the police/interpreter asks
“Uh…” I say and look away “no I was just running” I lie
“You were found beaten and scratched with a brand and a carving. Along with several bite marks. You don’t have to lie Mister Demarco. We had your parents’ consent to examine your clothing for a rape kit. But we need your consent to have a rape kit. Do you know who did it to you?” The police officer/interpreter questions
“I-I can’t tell you. He said if I did he’d hurt me more” I sob
“If you tell us he won’t get the chance”
“It... It was…. Killian Fitzgerald” I choke out and my Dad looks shocked.
“It was him?” my Dad Emmerson signs angrily
“Yeah Dad it was.” I sign and I see the police talk into his walkie-talkie then talk to my mom and walks out
“He said he’ll be back he’s just going to check out the tests and then come back and tell us.” My Dad signs
You will get tested for diseases right?” My Step mom signs says
“Yes Lilith I will. But is this really the time to ask? I just got fucking raped and the first thing you say to me is “are you going to get tested wow” such a bitch move” I sign angrily. Nor I or my brothers don’t like Lilith. She wants to get rid of us because my dad loaded with money and she wants it. That’s why they are separating. My dad finally noticed his money started disappearing so he confronted her since he knows we don’t buy Gucci and Coco Chanel. And she fessed up to that and drugs. So in like a couple days they’ll be single again. Plus my dad has been cheating on her with another lady. And she is my teacher. She’s about ten years younger than my dad but you can tell the way they look at each other they actually love each other. My mom passed away when I was born. So Elijah and Eros blame me for having no mom. I’m the youngest I’m fifteen turning sixteen in October and its August Elijah is 21 turning 22 a day before Eros’ and Eros is 25.
They got back the tests and they matched it to Killian. It’s been four months since it’s happened and Killian is doing five to ten years then he will be registered as a rapist and a sex offender. He is be treated as an adult. At court he smirked at me and mouth “You know you liked it. I will be back for you” and I hugged my dad and sobbed. The worst part is that it haunts me. People don’t look at me the same. I mean they never looked at me because I’m deaf. But instead of deaf boy now I am the deaf boy who got raped. But I’m glad three people at my school could look past the rape. I go to a deaf school with a few hearing kids. My life has yet to get better
