Second Chances

Alix’s p.o.v: Ezra is ten minutes late. And Adam is ready to kill a bitch. I am just sitting there checking my phone every ten minutes as Adam is pacing back and forth with his hands and teeth clenched. Then I see Ezra speed into the parking lot. He stomps over to us and grabs me and kisses me. Not just like a peck. Like a lustful kiss and I squeal in shock but then kiss him back. He stops and looks at me.
“I have no fucking clue why I did that! But it felt so fucking good! Whoo!” he hollers
“You are either pissed, drunk, or high” Adam says
“I am beyond pissed. I am fucking furious. But I am not going to let that ruin my night with the most beautiful person I have ever seen.” He says and I blush
“Well we better go to your surprise. Bye Adam” I say and we walk to his car and drive off. We stop at Minnie’s my favorite restaurant or diner thing. We walk in and they are blaring “To Die For” by “Tonight Alive”.
“Hello Welcome to Minnie’s. How may I help you Alix?” the co-owner Theresa asks me
“A booth for two” I tell her and she guides us to a booth and she gives us menus and we order our drinks and she gives us time to pick
“So what happened?” I ask
“Well my dad had an affair when my mom was pregnant with Eli and me and the lady had his kids and I’m guessing something happened to her because they are coming to live with us” he signs angrily and slams his hands on the table then I grab one of his hands and caress it
“I’m sorry. If you want we can reschedule?” I ask him
“Nah it’s ok. What do you want? Dinner is on me” he replies
“I can pitch in money if you need” I tell him
“It’s a date love, that would be rude and I wanna pay”
“Ok” I reply
“His other two kids come in a couple days. I don’t wanna meet them.” He signs
“if you need I’ll be there with you.” I tell him
“I’d love that” he signs with and smiles widely with his million watt smile
They get our food and Ezra got their taco’s and I just got some fries. Loss of appetite. After we eat we walk out I start to get cold and he puts his jacket around me
“Thank you” I sign
“No problem” he replies and kisses my cheek making me blush and I put my arm around his shoulder. He takes me to a park and he leads me down a path and I see a fountain with candles lit in it and I stare at how beautiful it is
“It’s so beautiful” I tell him
“I love this spot but usually no one is here but there are bozo’s getting high over there” he says and points to a group of guys. I notice one and it’s my ex Ethan Dawson. He just dated me for a fuck and I dated him for drugs. At the time it was a win-win thing. He notices me and smiles and starts walking over to us. Ezra notices I looked scared and he stands in front of me.
“Alix! Darling! How are you?” Ethan asks
“I-I’m g-good” I stutter out
“Who’s this?” he asks
“Ezra DeMarco” Ezra tells him
“DeMarco? You have the same last name as my father who’ve I’ve never met” Ethan says
“Does his name happen to be Emmerson?”
“Yes…? How do you know that?” Ethan questions
“Cause that man whore is also my dad” Ezra seethes
“You’re shitting me. Right?” Ethan says in disbelief
“I wish. But I’m not odd and shit on people.” Ezra jokes
“Um… Okay then? I think you’re more of a druggie than me Ezra” Ethan says in an odd tone
“When are you and your sibling supposed to start living with us?” Ezra asks
“Well they asked me to live there too. I’m 21 but I’m living there to help my sister. She’s in a wheelchair. And in two weeks.” Jason says
“Ok. Well me and Alix better go” Ezra says and pulls me away and he storms off pulling me along. He soon starts running, but I have no idea where the hell he’s taking me. Ezra runs faster, and I’m barely able to keep up. And I keep on tripping over nothing!
“EZRA!! I CAN’T BREATHE!!” I shout at him, and he stops to let me catch my breath. I feel like I’m going to pass out. But before I knew it, I did.
