Second Chances
Chapter 3: Party till you pass out drink till your dead dance all night till you can't feel your leg
Ezra’s p.o.v.: Me, Jinxx, Mina, Rikki, and my brothers are headed to some guy named Luis’ party. He’s Eli’s friend. And Eros’ friends are going too. Well the ones I’ve met. Bennet and Keanu I’ve met. Every time Keanu see’s Rikki he hits on Rikki and Jinxx gets all jealous but he knows Rikki will never leave him but it still annoys him. When we get to the party Jinxx basically jumps out and Mina, Rikki, and I just get out normal. I see Eli’s friend Alix. He’s a year older than me. I don’t know how they met. I think they met through his other friend Cameron. Cameron is 21 like Eli and Alix is 17 or 18. Cameron and Alix I think are step brothers. But I don’t know much about Eros’ or Eli’s friends. I stop spacing out when I feel someone pull on my arm
“Come on Ezra, Mina, Rikki lets have fun! Let’s get drunk, dance, and smoke weed and have fun!” Jinxx says eagerly and Rikki has this terrified look on his face
“I’m going home.” Rikki signs and turns the other way and Jinxx grabs his shoulder and turns him around
“Please stay doll” Jinxx says and puts a puppy dog face on and that always gets Rikki. He’s tried it on Mina but she slapped him and told him no again
“Fine” Rikki signs and groans as we walk in. the music is pretty damn loud. Even for a deaf person
After like an hour Jinxx is shit faced. And Mina and Rikki, and I are just standing there waiting for the good music to play. And Luis said this is just the beginning. Then we hear “Bang It Out” By “Breathe Carolina” and Mina pulls me and Rikki to dance. I see Eros and his Girlfriend Winona basically fucking on the dance floor and Eli with his girlfriend Persephonie Kenith grinding on him. They are probably as drunk as a duck.
“Rikki! Come on lets have some fun!” Jinxx slurs and it’s hard to read his lips. He puts his arms around Rikki
“No Jinxx your drunk” Rikki practically yells so Jinxx and himself can hear him. Then Jinxx giggles and puts his pointer finger on Rikki’s forehead and runs it down Rikki’s puzzled face
“Shhh…! You know you want a piece of this!” Jinxx slurs and Rikki puts Jinxx’s arm around him
“I’ll be back! I’m going to drop drunkie off at home” Rikki tells us and we put our thumbs up and he leaves. Then Alix Moriarty walks up kinda stumbling but I can tell he’s not as drunk as the rest.
“Hey Ezra I was wondering if you would dance with me and that maybe I could get you a drink? You don’t have to say yes but I am asking you while I have the confidence. And no I am not drunk but just a bit tipsy. Not a big drinker or bad things happen” Alix says not really slurring but he is a bit. I wonder if he’s serious when he says bad things happen. Oh well. Well one drink couldn’t hurt
“Sure. To both” I tell him and he smiles and I smile back and I walk with him to the kitchen I look back to see Mina with her thumbs up winking and mouthing “Get some Ezzie!” and I flip her off and see her laugh. Me and Alix walk to the kitchen and he hand me a shot of Patron.
“Swallow it fast. It won’t burn as bad. And it will work faster. And don’t think wrong” Alix signs and I look at him surprised and then chuckle
“You know how to sign? How did you learn?” I ask
“My mom’s new husbands son is deaf, he is like 10” he replies and I drink the shot and it burns like a mother fucker. I start coughing and he chuckles and I hit him playfully.
“You’re a dick” I tell him and he chuckles more. A couple… well more than a couple shots later me and Alix are making out and me not being sober…. I won’t remember this at all
Mina’s p.o.v: I feel my phone vibrate and it’s my mom. I walk out of Luis’ house and answer it putting it to my hearing right ear
“Mina! You are going to have three step brothers and a half sibling and a step dad!” My mom says eagerly and I start smiling and crying. My dad left us when I was 4 and he never came back.
“That’s wonderful mom. I’m about to head home soon. Talk to you later” I say
“Ok Minnie see you soon. Love you” she says
“Love you too” I say and hang up. Then I feel someone tap on my shoulder. It’s Rikki. I had lost him in the crowd of people like thirty minutes ago.
“Hey Mina can you give me a ride home. I can’t find Ezra. The last time I saw him he was making out with Alix Moriarty. I don’t think he’s going home tonight” Rikki signs
“Yeah. Well yeah sure. Is anyone home at your house?” I ask because his parent’s go weeks without being home and they leave him with no money or anything.
“No they aren’t they left a couple days ago. I’ve been staying with J.D. they went on another business trip.” He replies
“Tonight you can stay at my house ok Rikki” I tell him and he nods
“Come on let’s go” I sign and we walk to my 2000 Honda civic and leave
