Oh Calamity

Ryder's p.o.v: I just panicked in front of a really cute guy! sheesh! Ryder why did you have to fuck everything up! i run home and pull out my best friend. a shiny sliver razor. i cut and cut until i think its time to stop. i clean it up until i notice my mom is here. and she is drunk. i'm glad i'm leaving here soon. i just turned 18 and I've rented a small house on Lincoln street. i walk into the living room and my mom puts her cigarette out on my skin and i seethe in pain
"Haha! you stupid little shit. i want you out of here today. my boyfriend is moving in and i don't want you here" she slurs
"fine. i'll leave with the car i bought" i yell. i bought our car. i pack all my things and put it in the car and drive off into my new apartment and unload it
"You need help?" someone asks. i look at the person and its the guy who took me to lunch. Ezra
"uhh.. no not really" i reply but he helps me anyway. but lights his cigarette first
"Ugh. please. my house is a smoke and drink free place" i say annoyed and he just glares at me and keeps on smoking it making me cough. man is this guy bipolar one minute he is nice and the next he is a dick... what the fuck. he keeps on helping me and I've bought a new bed and it'll be coming soon. for now i'll just sleep on the floor
"well that's it. wanna hang out at my place? there isn't much to do here" he says
"i don't really trust you. you yelled at me and you are a bit mean. then you are nice. your odd" i say
"fine. but me and my buddies are having some beer later. if you want to come your welcome. and you should meet my step sister Mina. she doesn't believe in fun either. her and her mom will probably stop by soon. Ciao" he says and walks out. i spray the air with air freshener. even though it pollutes. it works though. then i hear a knock on my door. i guess Ezra was right. i open the door and i see a girl with dyed red hair and a lady with brown hair, and a man who has the same eyes as Ezra
"Hi we would like to welcome you to the neighborhood. i'm Maliah, my daughter Mina, and My Husband Emmerson" the lady says
"Ezra told me you would be stopping by" i tell them
"You saw Ezra? I haven't seen him all day. I saw him bolt out of science with some ginger dude" the girl says then looks at me wide eyed
"It was you!" she says shocked as my anxiety gets to me
"Y-yeah" i stutter
"he hasn't actually hung out with anyone in a year. and now he's hanging out with you. i mean he has his beer and drug buddies but no one actually nice" the girl tells me
"why doesn't he have any good friends?" i ask
"he pushed them all away when his boyfriend died he did the same with his family" the dad says
"oh. well thank you for stopping by" i say
"aren't you a little young to be living on your own?" the mom asks me
"I'm eighteen. everyone thinks i'm younger cause i'm only 5'5.... i know i'm short" i say annoyed
"oh well if you need anything you can ask my sons we will be gone this weekend. we are going to Manhattan to take our twins to meet there grandparents. and we leave today. so i hope you like the neighborhood" the lady says
"thank you" i say and they say good by and leave. i really hope i like this neighborhood
