A Broken Heart

The Roberts house was a mansion with an oak tree,a huge pool and hot tub in the backyard. For as long as Melanie could remember this was her home and was the only place she knew. Her parents would always have pool parties and invite the neighbors and anyone else that lived on the block.

I pulled up to the house and noticed that my mom's car wasn't in the driveway.I shut off the car and walked into the house calling out her sisters name there was no answer and then remembered she was at daycare so called i called my mom because she usually came home for lunch and there was no response.

I went up to my room and changed out of my interview clothes and threw on a tank top and a pair of short shorts checking my phone i saw a reply back from my dad "hey Mel thanks for informing me just on the plane waiting to take off soon" I then ran downstairs and checked the answering machine work wanted me to cover shift then there was a weird message from my aunt regarding my mom.
