Don't Forget

Junior Prom

“Move in with me…” Eric said as they slow-danced. Junior Prom’s theme this year was casino. There were all kinds of fake gambling going on a black-jack tables around the room. The chaperons wore casino assistant attire. Mia had just finished confessing to Eric how Connor had reacted to her invitation, “Then you won’t have to run so far when he makes you cry.”

“Silly Rabbit,” Mia smirked at him, “Trix are for kids.”

“Yeah?” Eric smiled and he spun her, “And what’s that supposed to mean?”

“You’re a bright boy.” Mia said, “I’m sure you can figure it out.” Mia laid her head into the curve of his neck. She used her fingertips to trace the tips of his black dragon tattoo peeking out from under his shirt.

“You drive me crazy Mia,” Eric said, “You know that?”

That sounded much more serious than normal. Mia looked up at him to ask him about it, but the song changed to some Ying-Yang twins remix with a fast tempo and Beatrice appeared with the pretty little blonde she had invited.

“Let’s get crunk!” Beatrice said.

Mia laughed out loud as she danced with her friends. Who needed Connor Butler?
