I Need Your Love

- Lionel:
I groaned as I woke up with the biggest headache. I had gone drinking last night, since Antonella left me. This time her reason was that she wanted me to pick between Caro and her, and somehow, I couldn't bring myself to completely remove Caro from my life. So when she found out that I didn't want to give up Caro completely, she left. So instead of spending the night being miserable, I decided to go out. And apparently I had a little too much to drink, since I thought I spotted Caro there and brought a random girl home, thinking it was Caro. I grimaced as I recalled calling the girl 'Caro' several times during the night, that must have been the reason she left so early. I got up and took a shower, trying to sober up. As I came back to the bedroom, I couldn't help but smell the perfume Caro uses, I shook my head and left the room, I was slowly turning paranoid. As I entered the living room, I grabbed my phone and decided to call mama, she had been furious when she had found out about what happened and I hadn't talked to her every since she yelled at me. I bit my lip as I waited for her to answer.

"Hola?" she answered and I sighed.

"Hola mami" I said and I heard her gasp.

"What are you calling for Leo?, I thought I made myself clear when I said I won't talk to you until you've apologized thoroughly to Carolina." she said coldly and I winced.

"Anto left." I said simply and she sighed.

"And what do you want me to say Lionel?, You lost the best thing that ever happened to you, and I'm not talking about Antonella." she said and I closed my eyes.

"I know." I said simply and she stayed silent for a while.

"Do you love her?" she asked finally and ran a hand through my hair.

"Who are you talking about?" I said, trying to avoid the question.

"You know who I'm talking about." she said and I groaned.

"I never stopped loving Carolina, I just had a moment of weakness, thinking I had feelings for Antonella." I said and mami sighed.

"It took you too long to realize that mi hijo." she said and I frowned.

"So you don't think I have a chance?" I said bitterly and she didn't say anything.

"I think you really broke her apart, I'd say you're lucky to even get her to talk to you." she said and I nodded.

"I know mama, but I won't give her up." I said firmly and she sighed yet again.

"Have you been drinking Leo?" she asked and I looked down.

"I think I may have gone too far and had a one night stand." I whispered and she gasped.

"Lionel Andrés Messi!, that is not how I raised you!" she said angrily and I sighed.

"I know mami, I just saw a girl who I thought was Carolina, I even called her Carolina several times and now I think I may have smelled her perfume, I'm going crazy." I said, shaking my head at my antics.

"Well this better be the first and last time, and are you sure it wasn't Carolina? Because if it was, then I think you screwed up even more." she said before hanging up before I got the chance to answer. I grimaced at the thought of making my mama disappointed, and shook my head. There was a slight chance that I had been right last night, that I had spent the night with my wife, and if that was the case, then I wanted to know.

- Carolina:
"Are you taking a pregnancy test?" Eddie asked for the millionth time today and I just shook my head.

"No Eddie, for the millionth time, it's to early to tell if I'm pregnant, and I'm not pregnant, I'm sure of it." I said, grabbing Lia from him. He frowned and shook his head.

"You don't know that yet, when can you take a test then?" he asked and I rolled my eyes.

"In a week or so." I mumbled and he nodded.

"No matter what, I'll stand by you Caro, remember that." he said, and I smiled before hugging him.

"I know you will." I said before pulling away.

"I think I better call Shak before she goes crazy. " I said and he nodded. I grabbed my phone and dialed her number.

"Carolina???" she answered frantically and I bit my lip.

"Yes it's me Shak." I said and she sighed.

"Do you know how worried I've been??, where were you??" she asked and I grimaced.

"I had a one night stand." I said shamefully and she gasped.

"With who?" she said and I sighed.

"I wish it was a stranger, but it's not." I said and she stayed silent.

"Was it Leo?" she asked after a while and I didn't say anything.

"I guess it was Leo." she muttered and I winced.

"Are you mad?" I asked childishly and she chuckled.

"Of course I'm not mad, it's just that you two always find your way back together, it's almost as if it's meant to be." she said and I frowned.

"It was a drunken mistake Shak, nothing more, nothing less, and my feelings haven't changed, I still hate him." I said and she sighed.

"I know you do, but this means your subconscious wants him, and I wonder how long it's gonna take until you give in to your subconscious and forgive him." he said and I shook my head.

"It's not happening Shak, I'm not letting my heart decide for me this time, the last time I did, it got me really hurt, all I need to focus on right now is to get the divorce through." I said and she didn't say anything.

"Whatever you say Caro, just think of what I said." she said and I shook my head.

"I will, but don't count on any change, now I have to go Shak." I said.

"Alright, never say never Carolina, goodbye then." she said and I laughed.

"Goodbye Shak, I'll see you soon." I said before hanging up. After speaking to Shakira, I couldn't help but consider my options. If I were to be pregnant, then I wouldn't deny Leo his rights of seeing the baby, or Lia for that matter, but I wasn't sure if I could ever forgive him. I wasn't sure if my heart could stand another incident like this, not to mention I didn't trust Leo at all...
