Status: Here's another oldie I'm reposting to Mibba. I found this on my old Quizilla account. I believe it was the first original story I posted to the internet. Probably written in 2006/2007

Ineffable Plan

Thirty

Two months. It's been two whole months since this thing started; since Mary attacked me; since I was forced to leave campus; since I moved in with Aaron and his brothers; since I found out I was adopted and Aaron was a vampire; since I've gotten that stupid book; and since I was bit by a Cold One. Two months and absolutely nothing has changed.

The guys haven't been able to find out who bit me or why or how he got in the apartment undetected. I haven't been able to figure out that stupid book and everyone still refuses to just tell me. I haven't seen my roommates since I left, though we exchange the occasional e-mails. Aaron won't let me out of his sight for even a moment.

"I'm bored," I whined as I flopped down on the couch between Ryland and Julian.

"I can think of a few things to keep you busy." Julian threw his arm around my shoulders.

"So can I," Ryland said as he snaked his arm around my waist.

Aaron, who was sitting across the room, didn't look up from the book he was reading but let out a dangerous growl. Julian and Ryland immediately recoiled their arms.

"You're no fun, Aaron."

"Yea, you always hog the girl."

"The girl has a name and I'm his to hog," I said sliding off the couch and onto the floor. I looked up at Aaron and saw that he was staring at me. "What?"

"You're mine?" He asked with a huge smile forming on his face.

I rolled my eyes. "Like you didn't know."

He winked at me and went back to reading his book.

"Emmy!" I got off the floor and headed for the kitchen.

"He's not here."

I turned around to face Ryland. "Where'd he go?"

"Out."

"Jeremy?"

"Went with him."

In a fit of drama, I dropped to my knees with a groan and placed my forehead against the floor. "This is soooo boring."

In an instant I was sitting in Aaron's lap. He had his book in front of us, peering over my shoulders to read it, as if we had been sitting like this the entire time.

"I hate when you do that." Aaron had gotten into the habit of doing things like moving me at super speed before I had time to protest.

"Mhm,” he answered.

I sighed and looked down at what he was reading. Fight Club. I already read that.

I wriggled around so that I was comfortably sitting sideways with my legs falling over the right side of Aaron's lap and my head resting on his left shoulder. I wrapped my arms around his neck and lightly kissed him. I started at his cheek, moving down his jaw line, and then to his neck.

He still ignored me.

I glance at Ryland and Julian. Both were watching some football game and not paying attention to Aaron and me. I tilted my head so that I was blocking Aaron's view and kissed his lips. My fingers tangled into his hair and pulled us closer together. I brushed my tongue across his bottom lip before sliding it into his mouth. I felt Aaron's chest rumble as he growled into the kiss. By now I was straddling him and his hands were slightly up my shirt, his fingers pressing hard against my skin.

Stop. Aaron's voice echoed in my head, his lips still moving against mine.

Why? I thought, knowing he could hear me. He had long given up on not reading my thoughts.

He pulled my face away from his and sat me back on his lap the way I was sitting before all the kissing.

"Because it's been two weeks since I fed. If you keep that up I'll attack you," he said refocusing on Palahniuk's novel

I slightly tugged at the collar of my shirt. Aaron didn't even turn to look at me. "No."

"Why not?"

"The last time I did that, I almost killed you and I wasn't nearly as thirsty then."

"Actually, the last time you bit me you saved my life," I whispered, tenderly touching the side of his face. I pulled my shirt down again.

"No, Jus." He pulled my hand way from my shirt collar. "Will you stop that?"

I resigned and leaned back onto Aaron trying to get comfortable. I was going to ask him why he didn't just go feed, but Ryland spoke first.

"If you want someone to bite you so bad, I'll do it," he offered with a grin. "Your blood was pretty good last time despite the Cold One's venom. I wonder what it's like uncontaminated," he continued thoughtfully. "Come here. Let me taste." Ryland opened his arms invitingly.

Suddenly there was a sickening 'crack!' and blood spewed from Ryland's nose. I knew Aaron had caused that despite the fact that I didn’t feel him move from beneath me. He was just that fast.

"Aaron!" I yelled as I tried to get out of his lap and see if Ryland was okay. He had a firm grip around my waist and wouldn't let me move.

"He'll be fine," Aaron said reading his book as though nothing had happened. Julian was laughing hysterically and Ryland looked unfazed. He had taken off his shirt and pressed it against his bleeding nose. "Don't worry. The bleeding will stop in a minute. His nose will be healed in an hour."

"What is wrong with you?" I squealed, still trying to wriggle out of his grasps. He really wasn't planning on letting me get up.

"He shouldn't have said that."

"You're such an asshole sometimes," I mumbled under my breath still looking at a shockingly calm Ryland. He had moved the shirt from his face. The bleeding has stopped. That was good.

"See? He's fine,” Aaron mumbled into my neck, kissing it lightly.

He had let go of my waist since I had stopped struggling. I shot out of the chair half expecting Aaron to pull me back into his lap. So, I guess he's got no objections to me going to my room.

"I'll be up later," he said once I had reached the stairs.

"Sleep in your own room," I spat venomously before running up the stairs.

Once I got into my room I slammed the door shut and locked it. I stared at the door for a moment, slightly upset. If Aaron wanted to get in that stupid lock couldn't stop him.

I walked over to the desk and turned on my laptop. I had some reading to do for one of the online courses I was taking. Because of all this vampire business, I had to full my spring semester with online courses. It was just easier that way. It was only a week into the semester and I was already a little behind, and for no good reason. It's not like I was doing anything else.

Before starting on the required reading, I checked my email and responded to the ones from Amber and Phin. Then I updated my Myspace and Facebook page. When I couldn't find any other ways to procrastinate, I dived into the wonderful world of Macroeconomics. BORING! At around eleven I was done. I looked around my room for something to do and decided on cleaning. My room was sort of a disaster zone. Of course that took a lot less time than I had hoped. I was finished in a half an hour.

After a long hot bath, I shut off all the lights in my room and crawled under the three comforters that I had piled on my bed. It was a cold winter and with Aaron not here it seemed to be at least fifteen degrees colder in my room.
