Status: Here's another oldie I'm reposting to Mibba. I found this on my old Quizilla account. I believe it was the first original story I posted to the internet. Probably written in 2006/2007

Ineffable Plan

Thirty-Five

Aaron anxiously paced the kitchen floor, glancing at the spot Justine had stood captive only five minutes before. He had informed his brothers, thanking God that that their telepathy worked through both worlds. Emmanuel would find out where they were keeping her. They'd meet back at the house.

He couldn't believe he let it happen again. How could he let harm come to her again? He was supposed to take care of her. His head swirled with angry accusations, all directed at himself, and violent thoughts, all directed at the coven. They had taken her and if he didn't find her soon she would die.

He knew what he had to do if it came down to it. The Coven only wanted one of them dead. She was chosen because she could be easily disposed of. If he and his brothers couldn't rescue Justine then he would have to kill himself before the Coven killed her. With him dead, they would keep her alive. She didn't have to die.

"Aaron."

His head snapped up at the sound of Jeremy's voice. All four brothers stood before him. Emmanuel looked into the face of his brother surprised by his composed expression. His mind flashed on the memory of the wrecked Aaron he saw the day Justine had been bitten. Where was that Aaron? He looked so determined now, but there was something else. Emmanuel's eyes opened wide as realization dawned on him.

"Aaron…"

"If it's the only way to her…"

"It's not." Julian said firmly, now more serious than he'd ever been.

"We'll get her back, Aaron. There's no need to go to such extremes. That is not an option." Ryland added.

"Neither is losing her."

The room was silent for a moment. Then Jeremy spoke. "Standing here isn't doing us any good. We've got to come up with something, something that doesn't involve Aaron's suicide, so start thinking."
