The Seventh Circle
I slept until the next morning, because of my human side I can either be very weak when dealing with stressful situations or I can be overly powerful which then turns into extreme weakness so basically no matter what I am weak. So it hadn't surprised me when I woke up the next morning in the same clothes I was wearing yesterday and my stuff in a neat pile by the foot of my bed. I got up and went straight to the bathroom to take a nice warm shower. Today was my first day of school and I was nervous because I hadn't been to public school in the past two years, not to mention every memory of school I have is bad and of my being bullied, A little after half an hour of being in the shower I decided I should probably get out if I want to eat and look presentable for school.
Once I finished getting ready I go down into the kitchen where my mom is making breakfast for the boys, all the other adults at their jobs I'm assuming, and the boys sat around the table
"Good morning Nicolai, how did you sleep?" my mom asks not even turning around
"Not too bad I guess, I'm starving now though" I state and sit on top of the island counter
"Off the counter and go change, you'll get suspended on the first day of school if you wear that"
"Nope I read the dress code and I am not breaking any of it" I reply with a smirk and she gives me an unamused look but drops it because she knows she'll lose the fight "What's for breakfast?" I ask walking to the table and sit in an empty seat not bothering to look at the guys
"Pancakes, now please speak in English you're being very rude" she scolds bringing the pancakes and bacon to the table, I don't reply just eat. Halfway through breakfast I can't stand the 'sneaked' glances, much less the open stares, anymore so I stand up grabbing my backpack and leave with a quick goodbye to my mom.
I'm almost halfway to the school and lighting my second cigarette when a black Escalade pulls up, I ignore it and continue my walk with it following me until finally I turn around
"What do you want?" I ask taking another drag an eyebrow raised at the six boys
"We just thought you'd like a ride to school" Ricky says from the passenger seat
"If she's just going to be a bitch I'm not going to let her in my car" Balz adds from the drivers seat earning him a slap in the back of the head by Devin "What I'm serious, I don't care who she is or thinks she is but I'm not going to put up with her attitude it's not cute" I scoff
"No thanks" I reply before turning around and continuing my walk.
It was now lunch time and I was already done with everything, the stares, the whispers, and the questions. I walked into the lunch room not looking and anybody or anything, after getting a slice of pizza, I went outside and sat under a tree pulling out the book I was currently reading and trying to relax for the break but it of course didn't last long when six figures plop down by me. I look up but then look back down at my book continuing my reading
"Um I'd like to say sorry for the way I acted this morning, it was rude and inappropriate"
"Okay, that's cool" I dismiss it not looking up from my book because it was a good part
"That's all?" He asks to which I reply with a shrug still sucked into the story I'm reading until I hear a low growl and my book is pulled from my hands, my head snaps up in shock looking at him
"Excuse me? What the hell was that for?" I question angrily standing up to take my book
"I'm trying to have a conversation with you and it was distracting you so I took it away until we're finished talking then I'll give it back" Josh smirks cockily which makes me angrier
"I am not a child so don't speak to me like one Joshua! I told you it's cool now drop it and give me my book!" he lets out another low growl when I say Joshua and his eyes start to get darker causing the other guys to also stand up but I wasn't backing down
"I'll let that one slide because it's only your second day here but I suggest not using my name again"
"Or what? You don't scare me!" before he can reply Chris and Ryan step between us "Just give me my book please" I whisper feeling the affects of getting so worked up, Devin and Ricky notice and grab my book offering to walk me to my next class which I accept worried about what would happen if I'd over done it.
