No Amount of Money

i wrote this for my english profolio thingy and here's the intro i wrote as well:

I’ve always been fascinated by the colonial era. It really was the start of what America is today. So, it’s a given that I made a creative piece that was placed during colonial times. I tried to include the main obstacles for a teenage girl in this time period. Since I’m a girl and it’s another given that I love romance novels, the main conflict for Pandora Ventress is the fact that love is in the wrong place. Pandora’s name in itself is a summarization for her personality. There is a question of family with Pandora. She has mother figures like Eliza, her servant, and Martha, a bookshop keeper. But she doesn’t consider her family right for her. It is a simple event of the teenaged questioning.

The title No Amount of Money is to illustrate that Pandora comes from a wealthy family but she doesn’t want the money she is provided with. She’d be more content with only pennies in her pocket. It becomes clearer when she falls in love with Benjamin, a servant for the very prestigious Joshua Cunningham who also fancies Pandora.
