Lucky to Be Alive
To Afraid.
A strong gust of wind seemed to push me back inside my room.
It was the last place I wanted to be. I wanted, at this moment, to run away but I was to afraid to do anything besides close my window.
My mother continued to glare furiously at me as I trembled my way onto my bed.
"Where did you think you were going in this weather?" She asked bitterly, looking down at me.
I didn't respond.
I had no idea what to say. I knew I had to lie but then again I didn't want to.
Minutes crept by awkwardly as I sat in front of her in silence, the only thing that could be heard was the raging storm outside and the sudden vibration coming from my phone in my jeans.
