Hidden Bundle of Joy.

-Ashtons POV-
We Were in the middle of our interview with sunrise, when i felt someone tap my shoulder, i turned and saw John standing there with a worried look. The interview was still going on around us but i listened to what he said
"Olivia's sister just called me, Olivia is in the hospital, she's having a c-section in the next 70 minutes, you need to get to the hospital" he said into my ear
Everything stopped. I went into shock, Olivia in the hospital, c-section, why is she in hospital, she was fine this morning. What is going on
"i'm really sorry but i need to go" i said
"What" Luke said
"i, i need to go it's an emergency, i'm so sorry" i said getting up and running off the stage and toward John and a waiting car. I got in, while John went back to explain to the boys and Kochie and Sam. it takes about 30 minutes from here to hospital. Everything felt like it was going in slow motion. the car journey, me running into the hospital front desk asking where Olivia was, running to the room, opening the door. all slow motion.
I saw her laying in bed, with drips attached to her.
"What, whats going on" i asked as i entered
"I was bleeding, so i called Julie, who is on her way here and she told me to come to the hospital, turned out i have placenta praevia and i need to have a c-section otherwise it could be life threatening to Ayla." Olivia said
"are you okay, is Ayla okay"
"we're fine babe, i promise, shes just couldn't wait any longer and wanted to be here for daddies first album release"
'well this is the best album release present"
The doctor came in and asked if i wanted to be in while they do it and i said yes, so the gave me some scrubs to wear and things that looked like plastic bags to put on my feet.
This is happening Ayla-Mai is coming today. about 10 minutes later Olivia was being wheeled into the theater and i was behind them. They made sure she was numb and all drugged up so she wouldn't feel a thing, i took her hand as they started the procedure. It was only about 5 minutes after they had started that Ayla-Mai was out, they lowered the screen that was blocking us from seeing the surgery and we saw her being pulled out. They took her over to a table and checked her out and cleaned her up a bit before coming over and handing her to Liv. We were both crying as they handed her over. I have never seen so much love pour of out Olivia as i did when she held Ayla-Mai. I leant down and kissed Olivia's forehead
"shes so beautiful" i said
Olivia couldn't speak she was just in awe looking at Ayla-Mai
I got to cut the umbilical cord and then they began the process of closing Olivia up and doing the stitches. The whole Surgery was about an hour long. Ayla-Mai got taken to do some tests on her to make sure she is healthy and everything as Olivia got wheeled back to the room and i followed behind. When we went into the room, my mum, Harry and Lauren were there along with Jay and Maui.
"Is pasta here" Maui said
"don't call her that" Olivia said
"Why don't you rest sweetie" Mum said to Olivia
"but i want to see Ayla"
"we will wake you when she is brought back" Jay said
"okay fine, i will rest my eyes" Olivia said
"you did get princess" i said kissing her cheek as she closed her eyes.
"What does she look like, is she okay" Mum said
"She's beautiful mum, yeah they are just doing some tests i guess because of it being an emergency and all"
i decided to take this time with Olivia sleeping and Ayla-Mai away to write a note to explain what happened this morning and i guess to say i wont be in America. i pulled out my phone and turned it on i quickly text John telling him of my plans and he quickly replied with good idea, i ignored the txt from the boys right now and opened up facebook and went onto th eband account.
"Hey guys,
Sorry about this morning and running out of the interview, as you probably saw John whispering in my ear, well he was telling me some news and i had to leave. It was a family emergency that i couldn't stay for the whole interview. I just want to Apologise to Kochie and Sam for this morning. I hope i didn't screw your plans up to much and i also want to apologise to the rest of the boys for not giving them any warning about my departure and leaving them.
I'm sorry to say as well that because of the emergency i will no longer be able to attend the promo in America, i'm so sorry to any fans out there that i am disappointing with this news but family comes first and i need to be here with my family at this time. I promise to explain more in the near future but for now, please know that i love you guys and you mean the would to me

just as i finished and posted i saw Ayla-Mai being wheeled into the room in a little crib. she was fast asleep just like Olivia, Everyone crowded around her
"guys, back up a bit" i said
they all took a step back, but still hovered over her. I decided that Olivia would hate me if i didn't wake her up si i went over and lightly tapped her to wake her up
"Hey babe, Ayla is here" i said
"Can, can i have her please" she said rubbing her eyes
i went over to Ayla and picked her up and handed her to Liv. Mum started taking pictures as Olivia and I looked at Ayla-
"i'm so proud of you babe"
"this is our daughter Ash" she replied
"i know shes so beautiful, she looks like you"
"no she has your hair and nose and hopefully she will have your eyes"
It's true i was expecting Ayla-Mai to have red hair, but no she has ash blonde her sticking up all over the place. But her hair could always change as she getts a little older. Olivia told me she was born with fire red hair then she went Really Blonde for a while before going back to a red hair, but not as strong of a read.
"can we hold her" i heard Lauren say
"Let them have their time and you can hold her later okay" Mum said
we sat looking at Ayla-Mai for a while before a nurse came in and showed Olivia how to breast feed and checked on her drip and check Ayla before leaving. Olivia and Ayla will have to spend the next 2 or 3 days in the hospital and tomorrow they advise that Olivia starts to get up and exercise even though it is going to be sore for her to move for a while.
After a while everyone took their turn holding Ayla, making sure that Harry and Lauren were sitting down completely comfortable and knew exactly how to hold her. Mum kept gushing on about being a grandmother and Jay was just taking it all in while Maui kept calling Ayla Pasta. Olivia informed me of the day MAui came up with the name, not going to lie i found it hilarious, but if Olivia tells Maui to stop i'm on Olivia's side no matter how funny i think it is.
I checked my phone and saw i had a text from Luke saying the John had filled them in and congrats and stuff and wanting to know when they could come see her.
I told them tomorrow was probably best and to enjoy the rest of the album release day. I have mixed emotions, one part of me is sad that i'm missing out on the excitement of the album release we worked so hard on it and it is finally here, but the bigger part of me is so excited about Ayla-Mai and she is the best thing to ever happened to my life and nothing is every going to be as amazing as becoming a dad for the first time
