Chapter 20
I heard Ashton get up with Ayla and leave the room, i was up only a little over an hour ago feeding her and never fully got back to sleep. It's only 7am but its about the time we get up with Ayla. Ash also has a phone interview at 8am with the boys in LA so he said i could lay in until his interview. I turned in bed and pulled his pillow closer to me to snuggle with.
Neither of us knew what fans were saying about the announcement made yesterday and i think that has to do with the little sleep i got last night, well plus Ayla but my mind couldn't stop thinking about what they are saying but Ashton has demanded that i do not go on any social media or go looking for what they are saying. I know he's doing it so i don't get upset or mad or anything, but i cant help but be curious about what they are saying.
I felt my eyes slowly get heavier as i felt my body finally drifting off but it didn't last, i heard the door open and in Comes Ash
"Babe, Liv can you take Ayla my interview is in 15"
"Yeah i'll be in in 5"
he kissed my forehead and went back out guessing into the living room. I stretched about in bed for getting up. I pulled down Ashs top to cover over my butt and walked into the living room. He was sitting there with Ayla-Mai on his chest with his feet up on the coffee table watching tv.
i went to pour myself some coffee Ash had made and went back to sit next to him.
His phone started to ring and i took Ayla from him which she was not happy about, total daddies girl and shes only just over a week old.
"Hello Ashton speaking" he said as he put the phone on speaker and took Ayla back off me and she stopped whining
"Hi Ashton it's Julie from kiss 234 fm, you will be in with the boys in 2 minutes"
"Hi Julie thank you" we waited and he rocked Ayla. i stood up and took a picture, without thinking i opened up twitter and posted it with the caption "Radio interviews and baby" i put my phone back down and waited until we heard the radio host introduce the boys and Ashton on
"Hi guys"
"Ashton we miss you" Luke said
"miss you guys too" he said
"So guys what has to been like without Ashton" the interviewer asked
"It's been weird it's always been the 4 of us and it's just not the same" Calum said
"So when do you join the boys again ashton"
"when they are back in Sydney, everything will go back to normal again"
i got up to put some toast in as i am starving. I waited and once it popped i spread vegemite on it and I heard Ayla start crying so i sped walked back into the living room
"Can you give me a sec" Ash said and handed me Ayla and i went a bit away and rocked Ayla
"On that note, Congratulations is in order for you Ashton"
"Thank you" Ashton said laughing
"So we know you only just announced it yesterday, do you want to add on to what you said on facebook"
"um not really only that i hope people can leave Olivia alone as we adjust to having a baby and respect her"
"Have you been online to see what fans have been saying"
"No we've stayed off, will be for a while just to let it die down"
"And boys how do you feel about all this"
"well obviously we're very happy for Ashton and Olivia" Michael said
"have you met the baby"
"yeah we have, the day after she was born we went to see her, shes precious" Luke said
"So Ashton what about a name"
"for now we would rather it be private" he said
the interview kept going and Ayla was sleeping so i went to put her in her basket before going to eat my toast and taking a quick shower while i had the chance. I put my underwear on and head back into the bedroom i felt arms wrap around me as i looked at the wardrobe
"finished babe" i asked
"yup" he said kissing my shoulder
"What do you want to do today"
"i was thinking, why don't i ask my mum to come over and watch Ayla for an hour or two and we go out to eat"
"i don't know babe, what if she gets hungry or something"
"you have the pumpy thing right"
"yeah, but we don't even know if she will take a bottle, i think it's too soon to leave her"
"then why don't we take her with us"
"so you want to go out, out with Ayla"
"yeah"
i was a little on edge, this will be our first proper outing that isn't a walk down the road, i'm scared of how Ayla will be, if she will be fussy. I'm scare that people will come up to us wanting to see her. You know you always see those old ladies who look at people with prams and admire the baby. I'm scared his fans will see us and do something.
"i'm scared"
"i can promise you, everything will be fine"
"are you sure"
"i'm positive"
"okay"
"lets get ready then" he said smiling and kissing my cheek. He went into the bathroom while i changed into some leggins and one of his flannels.
i picked Ayla up and took her into her room and changed her before putting on a cute outfit, a little dress and leggins. Ash came out of the bathroom ready and i went into quickly brush my teeth and do my hair i heard Ash shout he would be putting Ayla in the car and i replied with an OK before i went back to putting my hair in a high pony tale. i grabbed my bag and shoes as i went through out bedroom and to the front door
"do you have the stroller" i shouted from the door
"Yeah it's in the boot"
"okay, i'll be 2 seconds" i shouted
i grabbed Aylas nappy bag and made sure everything was in their nappys, wipes a change of clothes powder. and went back to the front door, locked it and got into the car
"okay i'm good" i said
"lets go, where do you want to go" he asked as he backed out the driveway
"i don't mind, maybe somewhere that would be too packed"
"How about we go to the complex your dads shop is on and we find somewhere there"
"yeah that sounds good"
we took the short drive and parked where we would normally park going to my smoothie shop. Ashton got the stroller out and i got Ayla. We strapped her in and pulled the hood down where you could basically only see her little feet. I put the nappy bag on the handles.
"ready" ash asked
"ready" i took the stroller and we started walking, we talked about nothing really as we walked around. It was nice to be out and there wasn't many people around
"hay why don't we go see your dad as we are here"
"yeah that's a good idea"
we walked round to the smoothie shop and in fact my dad and Maui were both in. Ashton opened the door for me and held it while i pushed the stroller in.
"Hey dad" i said
"Olivia, i wasn't expecting to see you around here, Hi Ashton"
"Yeah we decided to come eat and thought we would pop in"
"wheres my Pasta" i heard Maui say
"Stop" i said i could hear Ashton laughing and i glared at him, does he really want our daughter to grow up with the nickname Pasta.
"Shes sleeping" Ash said as he pulled up the hood. There wasn't many people in and no one who would really care either.
"so how have you guys been" dad asked
"We've been good, a bit sleep deprived but good"
"This is only the beginning Liv"
"so is aw you guys announced it yesterday" Maui said
"Yeah. we haven't looked to see what people have been saying though"
"Do you want to know"Maui said
i was curious, but knowing Maui knows do i really want her to tell me. i know for a fact despite him saying he hasn't Ash has been looking, he can't stay away from social media.
"Yes" i mumbled
"well obviously everyone freaked out about it, some not so nice, but a lot of wondering what her name is, what she looks like. saying that shes going to be so pretty when she grows up, some people concerned about the bands future and Ash being in the band"
"don't worry i settled that int he interview this morning"
we were talking when we heard a bunch of high pitched giggles we looked to the door and say 5 maybe 13 year olds come into the shop.
"oh my god it's Ashton" one said, you could tell they were debating to come up or not and i suddenly got scared and pulled Ayla's hood down
"go over to the them"
he got up and went over i couldn't really make out what he was saying but probably along the lines or don't say where we are and only post the pictures tomorrow. normal stuff he says when we are out
"hey Liv, can you take the picture" i heard him say
"sure" i got up and told maui to keep her eye on Ayla
"Hi girls" i said taking the phone from Ash
"Hi Olivia, you're so pretty" one said
"aw thank you, so are you"
i snapped the picture and the girls said bye to Ash
"shall we go eat"
"yeah lets, bye dad, maui"
"Bye guys" ash said
they both mumbled byes and we headed out. we decided o just go to t a little cafe and get sandwiches.
"So what did you talk to those girls about"
"Oh they were asking if i was okay and how you were and then asked me about Ayla but i told them i would rather not talk about her"
Ayla started fussing and i knew that meant she wanted milk. i tensed up a little at the fact i would have to do it in public.
"Babe can you hand me the cover up from the bag" i asked
he pulled it out and handed it to me. i attached it round my neck and then got Ayla and put her under it. i ekept looking around making sure no one was watching me.
"Li you are fine, you're a mother this is what mother do"
"i know, but i just need to get use to having my boob out in public"
"it's not out you cant see anything i promise that is what the cover up is for"

after we were done eating and Maui was settled again we decided to walk around a bit more before going home. We bumped into a couple other fans, all were respectful of keeping their distance of the pram. Once home i decided i would go on twitter
i had forgotten i posted the picture this morning and i saw a bunch of replies saying how cute it was.
