Chapter 21
The boys have been back for a couple days now. today they have a meeting which is perfect for what i have planned. The minute Ashton left, i was on the phone to Anne and she was over in 10 minutes
"Okay i have balloons, streamers and banners, i have to pick up the cake" she said as she came in
"okay good stuff, i'm just going to go rock Ay to sleep and we can start"
i went into my bedroom and put her in her basket and gently rocked it watching her slowly drift off to sleep. i went back into the living room
"okay so where are you planning, inside or out"
"i was thinking inside, just in here and the kitchen and maybe something by the front door"
"sounds good, most of the balloons are blown up thanks to Harry and Lauren but there's extras in the bag if you want more"
"okay thank you, so are you going to get the cake and bring them here" i asked
"yeah i'll pick up the cake and then stop off at their school, what time is he scheduled to be back"
"Luke said they finish at 2"
"so they'll be here about 3, i should be here just before then"
"thank you Anne, i hope he likes this"
"oh he will, he thought we all forgot but didn't mind because of the birth of Ayla everyone's mind where on that"
"i know, i could tell he was trying to throw hints my way without saying babe its my birthday"
"what did you guys end up doing anyways"
"oh we just had a movie marathon, watched all his favourites, i made his favourite dinner, i tried to make it about him"
"i'm sure he loved it"
"yeah, but anyways its 12, we should get started"
"i'll be back just before 3"

i started going through the bags Anne brought in, there were 3 bags of floating balloons and 2 bags of streamers and banners. First things first i found the banner that said "Happy 21st Birthday Ashton" and put it up over the fireplace and i decorated the room with balloons in the corners and streamers hanging by the door frames and moved into the kitchen and made a pattern on the ceiling with the streamers and a couple balloons on the worktop and finally finished with streamers hanging by the front door and a bunch of balloons directly opposite the door. it isn't much but it's something.
I went to check on Ayla and she was still peacefully sleeping so i went into the kitchen and started making some food, i cut some vegetables like carrots, cucumber, broccoli and made a veg plate and also a fruit plate with cut up melon, strawberries, grapes, pineapple. and put both plates on the dinning table before putting some chicken wings in the oven and got out some mini sausages and rolls and pies and put them on the dinning table too. i also put chips and dips out along with a sprite, coke, lemonade as well as a couple types of beers.
it took me about 2 hours to set it all up and just as sat down Ayla started crying, i went to get her and checked to see if she needed changing and did, so i changed her and then sat down to feed her. We've tried using bottles with her a couple times to see if she will take them and its hit and miss so for now its all just boob, which i don't mind i'm getting use to it. after she was finished i decided to go ahead and change her into her part outfit, i had Maui pick up a shirt that said "happy bday daddy" and a cute pink frilly skirt and matching bow, She looked adorable. I heard the front door open and heard my dad and Maui.
"good you're here, can you look after her while i shower" i said handing Ayla over to my dad as i greeted them in the living room.
"you better hurry but, arent people arriving before the boys" Maui said
"yeah, the boys will be here around 3, i've told everyone to get here before that hopefully around 2:45" i shouted as i went into the bathroom, i took a quick shower and blow dried and straightened my hair still in my towel and did my make up, i checked my clock ad it was 2:40, i quickly pulled out some jeans and a purple blouse. Just as i put it over my head i heard the doorbell and my dad answering it, i couldn't make out who it was but i quickly put the top on and headed into the living room. i saw it was Anne, Harry and Lauren, Anne had the cake which was round with a drum kit on top along with Happy 21st Ashton. She put it in the kitchen and i went to the front door as more people started to come, it was the boys parents, some of Ashton friends from when he was at school, that i've only really met a handful of times but i thought it would be nice for them to be here for him, as well as some of the boys friends/ work people. by 3 everyone was there and it was just a waiting game, Luke textme telling me they were about 5 minutes away
"okay everybody, they are going to be here in 5 minutes" i shouted over the chatter. I realised i hadn't seen Ayla for a while and started to panic, i looked around the room and saw my dad with her talking to Luke's mum. I walked over to them
"Hi, Liz how are you" i asked
"i'm good and yourself"
"yeah i'm good"
"hey dad, i can take her again"
he passed her over to me and i went back to the foyer to wait for the boys.
"are you excited to see daddy" i said she just starred at me but what do i expect shes only 2 weeks old.
I heard the sound of a car and looked out to see it pull up
"they're here, get ready" i shouted
the front door opened and i heard the sounds of the boys small talking
"1, 2, 3" i shouted as Luke guided Ashton to the living room
"SURPRISE" everyone shouted
"oh my god" Ashton said as i went up to him
"Happy birthday babe" i said kissing him
"i thought everyone forgot" he said
"nah i've had this planned for a while"
"thanks baby" he said kissing me again
"it's alright"i shrugged
"hey baby girl" he said directing it to Ayla he took her
"i'm going to go say hi to everybody" he said
"go ahead, i'm going to put the pizzas out" i said
Maui had put pizzas in while i was showering and i just needed to put them out for everyone to help themselves.
i watch Ash greet and hang out with his old friends and it just made me happy seeing him so chilled out and happy, we've had a hectic last couple months heck very hectic last couple weeks and to see him calm and relaxed even if it's just for a couple hours, i also loved watching him show off Ayla and how proud his eyes look while talking about her.
"hey livbear" i jumped a bit
"oh my god lukey you scared him"
"sorry, you just looked lonely" he said
"no i'm good i was just watching Ashton from afar" he raised his eyebrow at me
"that sounded so creepy" i laughed
"yeah just a bit" he laughed with me
"how are you Lukey i havent seen you in a while" i said hugging him
"yeah i'm good, good to be back for a bit"
"so how was your meeting earlier, what was it about" i asked
he looked at me like he didn't know what to say which kind of made me scared a bit
"it was um good yeah, i'll let Ashton be the one to tell you what it was about"
"when you say it like that, it's pretty obvious what it was about" i said
i know it's obviously a tour of some sort, like they just released an album what comes after an album a tour and what comes after a tour and album it's the cycle.
"yeah but i'll let him be the one to tell you about it"
"okay lets make a bet on how long it's going to take him to actually tell me" i said
"Okay i bet you $20 he will tell you in the next couple days" Luke said
"Ha, okay i say it will take him a couple weeks to figure out a way to tell me"
i know Ashton, he is probably freaking out trying to figure out the best way to tell me about a tour, he wont tell me right away, he will wait and wait and wait until it gets to the point where he just has to come right out and say it
"okay deal, $20 bucks" we shook on it.
"what do you have a deal on" we heard Ash say from behind us
"er nothing babe, nothing you need to worry about just me and Lukey being childish"
"okay then, well Ayla needs something i cant give her" he said as a upset Ayla is in his hands
"okay give her here then" i said taking her from him and walking towards her room to sit on the rocker.
The party went on for a good few hours but finally as much as i liked having everyone here and seeing Ash celebrate with his friends, one too many beers in a lot of people and a 2 week old baby it gets the best of you, so Ayla and i spent a lot of our time in her room.
Ash and i were finally in bed, him very much tipsy.
"how was your day baby" i asked as he pulled me closer to him and i rest my head on his chest
"it was great babe, thank you for doing that"
"you're welcome, now sleep the drink off okay"
i looked up and he was already asleep. I'm glad he had a good day, but now i gotta think about when this tour actually is, i mean if they are only just starting meetings on it, it has to be a good while away maybe 5 months away? which would make Ayla just over 5 months, how long is the tour, is it just Australia, is is world wide. How long will he be good. i was up for hours just thinking about it.
