Chapter 7
7 Months 1/2
It's middle of May and only a couple weeks before the boys start their Aus promo tour. The boys and spent a lot of times in meetings, gong through everything, radio interviews over the phone to places they aren't going to for pre-recorded interviews to air nearer the album release. They've been busy boys.
Seeing as my stomach looks a lot more pregnant, it is harder for me to go out places. i can go to the shop to buy groceries, but going to like the shopping centre or somehwere with a lot of people is a lot harder as it's harder to hide the bump and going somewhere like the shopping centre where young girls are everywhere isn't the right place to go to keep hiding Princess Irwin.
"Babe, i thik today is going to have to be the day" Ashton said as he walked into the ktichen where i was making breakfast
"to do what" i asked
"Tell management"
"oh, um really" was all i could say as i stopped making the pancake mix
"Yeah, i mean the Aus tour starts in like 2 weeks, then it's Europe, there really isn't any time between to tell them and if next week at your appointment theres a chance of her coming early, there would be no time to let them know i'm not going to Europe, i just think as i have a meeting today which is about the last one before we head to Perth, we have to do it"
I knew this woul dbe coming, i knew we wouldn't be able to hide it forever and that Management were going to have to know sooner or later. But hearing him say the words that we have to tell them today i'm terrified
"okay babe, um yeah okay" i couldn't really thinking
"don't worry, i will do all the talking, you don't even have to come if you don't want to" he added
"no Ash, i will go with you, you can't tell them on your own"
"well the boys will be there"
"yeah but thats not the same"
"okay, but i don't want you to be stressed okay"
"i'll be fine, what time do i have to be ready for" i asked
"we have to leave by 10:30" he said
i looked at the clock and saw 9:45. i quickly finished the pancake mix and made them setting hte pile of pancakes on the table and two plates for Ashton and I. we quickly ate before going to our bedroom to get ready
"what should i wear, are there going to be fans around the building, am i going to walk in there like whats up i have a baby bump" i started rambling as i panicked
"babe, calm down, just wear what you would normally wear out"
"okay, okay i got this"
i grabbed an oversized jumper and leggins and put them, i went into the bathroom and washed my face and teeth and brushed my hair into a high pony. i grabbed my uggs from the wardrobe as i went back into the bedroom and Ashton was waiting for me all dressed and ready.
"you ready Liv" he asked getting up from the bed
"yeah, do i look okay"
"you look fine babe, lets grab our coats and go, Luke wants us to pick him up on the way so we need to leave now"
I walked out the bedroom as he grabbed our coats from the back of the door. it's nearing the end of Autumn into winter and it's not that cold, but you need a light jacket at least. My coat was more to cover me more than actual warmth.
"So are you going to tell them before or after the proper meeting" i asked
"probably after, jsut so if they are pissed it wont be a problem for the actual meeting"
"good plan batman"
"thanks Robin" he laughed to himself.
Thats one thing i love about Ashton he always, always laughs at his own jokes, its adorable. we got Luke and headed into Sydney. It took about 40 minutes in traffic and we arrived at the building at 11:15. the meeting at 11:30. we saw Calum and Michael outside talking to a couple fans, how they knew the boys would be here today surprises me there were probably about 10 or so there.
"Hey boys" i said as we walked closer to the building
"Hey Liv, didn't know you were coming today" Michael said hugging me
"yeah Ash and I have something to do" i said
"oh, i see" he replied realising what
"We have to head inside for a meeting now, we might be in all day so best if you guys go" Calum said
"Thank you for stopping for us" one girl said
"It's nice to see you Olivia" i heard another say
"Thanks" i replied
we got into the buidling and into the lift after being told which floor to go to
"so i guess it's not noticeable if they ddn't say anything"
"I guess so" Ash said
the lift dinged and we got off.
"i'll wait in the waiting area for you babe" i said sitting down on a comfy chair in the floors reception area
"Hey 5sos for Mr Baker" Ash said to the lady at the desk
"room 3456" she said
"We shouldn't be too long babe" he said as they went by towards the room
You know that feeling when you're waiting at the doctors or dentist or new job interview. That horrible anxious feeling in the pit of your stomach, waiting for Ashton or one of the boys to come out and get me felt 10X worse than that. i must have been waiting for nearly 2 hours before i saw Luke come out from the meeting room and over to me.
"Hey livbear" he said
"Hey Lukey" i replied as he sat next to me
"you ready to go in" he asked
"No, not really, but i have to so" I said
"it will be fine, Ashton has already told them you guys have something pretty important to tell them"
"Okay" i didn't really know what to say or do, so as Luke got up, he helped me up and i walked behind him to the room.
as we got to the door i heard Ashton and David talking. David wasn't exactly the boys manager but a manager of the record company and who has a lot of say in the boys.
"We told you Ashton, you cant get engaged for at least another year, so if this is you telling me you are then we have a problem"
"Sir, i can promise you i am not engaged"
"Then what is so important that you have to tell us"
"just can we please wait until Olivia is here"
Luke and i stopped listening and went into the room
"Hi" i said shyly at the men across the table from Michael, Calum and Ashton
"Hi Olivia, nice to see you" David said
"You too" i sat in the empty chair next to Ashton that must have been Lukes as he stood behind me
"So as we are all here, can we please be informed on what is going on"
"Okay well Olivia and I have been keeping something from our private life, well very private from you" Ashton began. He paused as he took my hand from under the table
"i don't really know how to say this, but it wasn't planned and we know it is horrible timing, but well i'm just going to say it. Olivia is pregnant"
i room fell silent as David and the man who i don't know the name of looked dead at Ashton.
"Excuse me" David said
"look this isn't Ashtons fault okay" i began but Luke put his hands on my shoulder of a way to tell me to stop talking so i sopped.
"What do you me shes pregnant"
"i mean nearly 8 months ago she found out she was expecting" he said
"and why didn't you tell us sooner"
"because we wanted to keep it private and with the recent events Olivia and I have had to go through, we decide that it would be best if she had little stress and we felt telling you would have put more stress onto her than needed. Which if you haven't noticed Olivia hasn't come to hardly any events since we found out. The fans do not know. We wont tell them until after she is here"
"and when exactly is the baby meant to be here"
"July 12th, but we have a history of early labours i my family" I had the courage to say
"So you're going to be away for the birth"
"No sir, um the boys and i decided i would not go to America, and possibly not even Europe"
"Can i talk to Ashton alone please" David said
i got up and so did the boys and we walked out.
"Why do you think he wants to talk to him alone" i said as we sat down in the reception
"probably just to go through things, don't worry Olivia, everything will be fine" Michael said.
and again i found my self waiting for Ashton anxiously. I mean i suppose the meeting with me went well. Yeah you could tell they werent pleased and they are probably eating Ashton alive right now and i feel bad, but for my sake i'm glad i'm not in there i would probably burst into tears or something. 10 long minutes later Ashton came out
"okay we are good to go" he said
"So what did they say" i asked as we got into the lift
"Well first they had a go at how irresponsible i am for letting this happen and crap like that, but i reminded them theres nothing i can change so we have to move forward together and how the boys are supportive of it. So they agreed no America, i have to let them know about Europe. We decide on what statement we are going to put out for why i'm not in America, until Princess' birth then i have to basically write a letter of apology to our fans and tell them about Ayla-Mai"
"So they basically want you to apologise for becoming a dad" Michael said
"Yeah pretty much"
"That sucks man, but it could be worse" Calum said
"Yeah they could have kicked me out the band"
"They wouldn't dare, they know if you go, we all go" Luke said
"Family" I said
"Family" they all said together.
I love this family and i love that my little girl is going to grow up with 3 "uncles" who are going to love her to death and a dad that is going to spoil her rotten.
