"Drive safely, London traffic can be horrid", said Mary.
"Si, Senora Flynn. No voy a manejar con un loco", said Sergio with a laugh as he placed Cassandra's bag into the boot of the Aston Martin.
"I certainly hope not, Cassie is my only grandchild. Please do take care and have a good trip", said Mary, hugging both of them.
"Hasta luego, Senora Flynn", he said as he opened the passenger's side door and helped her inside the car.
Sergio turned on the engine and backed away from the curb, the stereo quite at the moment. "Ponte tu música, Cassie. Vamos a conducir por un largo tiempo", he said.
Cassandra took out her Ipod and hooked it up to the speakers as she hit shuffle, Call Me the Breeze by Lynyrd Skynyrd playing over the speakers. Sergio hummed a bit and tapped his fingers on the steering wheel. "Que son ellos, me gusto", he asked.
"That's Lynyrd Skynyrd, they were big back in the 70's. Daddy opened up for them back in '74, that was his big break. They're Southern too, I grew up listening to them", she replied with a laugh.
"Si, me gusta. Your brother, he talks like you, tambien?", she replied with a laugh.
"Yeah, but his accent is heavier. You ought to hear Becky talk, she's a Cajun from Louisiana and that's a crazy accent. Those are the French people from Louisiana", she explained.
"Si, ese son gentes que viven en el pantano? Ellos son locos, son like Duck Dynasty?", he asked.
'Yeah, but they're French. The Cajun accent is like a French and a Southern accent put together, a lot of people don't get it. And yes, they are crazy coonasses down there, they hunt gators", she joked.
"Ellos son locos, nadien hace eso en Argentina", he agreed.
The drive from Manchester to London was a pleasant one through central and southern England, the sky overhead a mix of blue and gray as the sun occasionally hid behind a passing cloud. Cassandra had to laugh when Sergio told er about visiting London for the first time with the team and his British teammates showed him around. "London son muy grande, y yo pensarle que Madrid y Buenos Aires estaba grande. Joe and James really know the city because they are English, Manchester son bueno pero Londres son mas grande. There are so many places and I find Spanish people there. We are staying at the Hilton in the West End, that is where we stay when we play the west London teams. There is a place Pablo and Jesus like and we go there when are in London, se llama Gordon's. Son una bar de vino y tiene bueno comida Italiana y Espanol, son bueno para ti y tu hermano?", he asked.
"That sounds good, I don't know anything in London. Shelton is goign to want to rest first, he's gotta be tired", she said.
"Verdad, we will go later", he agreed.
