The Celebration of an Ending

"Vic what time is it?" I asked once I realized that the sun was barely even up yet?

After this mornings activities, Vic and I took a shower and continued those activities in there and again in the bedroom. Let's just say that the housekeeping service will have a hell of a mess to clean up.

Vic reached for his phone that was on the bedside table. Once he looked at the time he jumped up and looked shocked.

"We have to leave in the next 30 minutes if we want to make it there in time."

"Vic it's not even daylight out." I stated like it was the most obvious thing in the world. And right now it was a pretty damn good point. I drank way too much last night and even though I took pain killers after round one for my headache, I felt like complete shit. But I looked amazing. "Where are we going so early and what time is it?"

"It's 6:30 and just finish getting dressed and I'll explain everything on the way there. Baby we have to go."

Um? Okay? Why the fuck does he have me up so early? While I got dressed, Vic left the room to make a phone call. Who is he calling this early in the morning.

He walked back in the room just as I'm finishing my hair.

"Ready to go? Our ride is here." I decided to stop asking questions since it is obvious that I'm not getting any answers. I just nod my head.

Vic grabbed our bags and we checked to make sure we had everything before heading to the elevator.

Once we're in the elevator I go to push the button for the ground floor but Vic smacked my hand away. I gave him a questioning look but he ignored it and pressed the button that was two floors above ours. We book a room on the second highest floor that had rooms. We would have gotten the top floor but it was reserved for someone else. The only floor above that was...

"Vic why are we going to the roof?" He only shrugged. "If you're planning to kill me. I'd rather it be something that won't damage my face."

He started laughing. "Babe I'm not going to kill you. Do you remember what I told you last night after I sang to you before I went to sleep?"

"You sang to me last night?" I asked.

"Nevermind it's not important at the moment. The only thing that matters is that no. I'm not going to kill you. I have a surprise for you."

After that nothing was said as we arrived on the roof. Vic walked ahead of me to open the doors that lead outside. The warm San Diego air hit me and it reminded me how much I loved living here. The sun rise is always beautiful. We walked outside just as the sun was coming up and the mix of red, orange, blue and yellow filled the sky. I looked at Vic and smiled.

"It's beautiful, isn't it."

"Yeah." He replied looking at me. "You truly are beautiful."

"Thank you." I said as I hugged him. He chuckled and kissed my head.

"You're welcome. But this isn't why I brought you up here, darling."

I looked at him, confused. He took my hand and we continued to walk. Okay now I really think he's trying to kill me. As I'm looking at him. Not paying attention to where he's leading me. I see him toss our bags into the distance. I glance in the direction that he threw them and I stop in my tracks. Which caused him to stop also.

"Are you seriously not going to tell me where we're going?"

"I told you. We have to meet our parents for lunch before the ceremony." He replied like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Yes. I know. But um.... I don't know if you know this Vic, but you don't need a helicopter to go to lunch."

"Just come on. I'll explain when we get in the helicopter. We're already running late babe." He continued to walk.

We get inside the helicopter just as the pilot is readying to take off. After about 20 minutes of flying, I decide to speak up.

"Okay. Now explain. Where are we going? And don't say 'we're having lunch with our parents'"

Vic looked at me and sighed. "My parents were in LA for the for the past few days and they thought it would be a great idea if we came out and had lunch with them. They are suppose to be back in time for the ceremony at 5. We were supposed to leave last night after prom but since we threw a party we're running late. We should arrive in LA in about 30 minutes. Then we'll grab breakfast and shop around for a bit. Tony, Mike, and Jaime are already there. They left after the party."

"Okay. Why couldn't you tell me this before we left?"

"Because you get distracted easy and it would have been harder to get you to leave on time."

I huffed in disagreement. "I do not get distracted easily." I said with a pout. He just laughed and kissed me.

The rest of the ride was filled with small conversations about life after high school. And how we couldn't believe that it was finally over. We talked about life after college and how we would make something great out of ourselves. We laughed and joked around. It was a pretty good flight.

We arrived shortly at the airport and Vic rented a car for us, well him to drive.

Just as he said we pulled into this restaurant somewhere in the middle of downtown Los Angeles. It wasn't a fancy restaurant but it also wasn't a run down place either. It looked like a small family owned business and had a sort of warm feeling to it.

We walked inside and the inside felt just as warm as the outside. We were greeted by a short Hispanic woman who looked about 25. She had red hair and gauges. Her smile was bright and she had dimple piercings.

"Hi. Welcome to Vanity. My name is Anastasia and I will be your waitress this morning. How many for your party?"

"You have a really pretty name. And it will be the just the two of us." I told her. And she blushed a little and motioned for us to follow her.

She sat us at a table next to the windows. The view was beautiful.

"Can I start you guys off with anything to drink?"

"Coffee." Vic and I both replied at the same time causing her to chuckled. Her laugh was adorable. She reminded me of a small child.

She nodded and told us she'd be back with our drinks.

"God. Can you not flirt with the waitress?" Vic groaned with annoyance.

I laughed. Could he get any cuter? "Baby. I bleed rainbows. Besides. Why flirt with her when I have someone as sexy as you sitting directly across from me."I said and winked at him. He only rolled his guys and smiled.

"You're lucky you're cute."

"So I've been told." Anastasia walks back to our table with our drinks in her hand.

"Okay guys. Here you go." She says as she sets our coffee on the table. "Are you guys ready to order? Or do you need a minute?" She asks looking from Vic to me. I look at Vic and he nods.

"I'll have the all American omelet with a side of bacon and hash browns and he'll have the free -or-all all you can eat pancakes with extra butter. And a shit ton of syrup." Vic tells her. "Don't let his appearance fool you. He can eat a lot." Vic said with a smile. She turned to me and I nodded.

"Oh and a side of bacon." I added. She nodded and headed of to what I assumed was the kitchen.

"So Kellin. Tell me. What are your plans for tonight?"

"I don't know. I kinda like it here in LA. So I'll probably come back here for a few days. Why?"

"No reason. Just wondering." He said with a shug. "Hey." He said after about five minutes of silence. "How would you feel about moving in with me?"

I looked at him like he was crazy. I mean he had to be right. We haven't even been dating for two months yet. "I don't mean now. I mean like once we get to Uni. I know we already picked roommates but I think it would be easy to switch."

"Yeah. Sure. I mean why not? I was already thinking about it anyways." Anastasia came back over with our food in her hands.

"Okay guys. Here you go. I'm sorry it took so long. We're short staff so I had to make it myself. Anyways let me know if you like it." We nodded and she walked away.

We ate in silence. The food was actually really good. "Vic?" I said after swallowing my food.

He looked up at me silently telling me to continue. I think. "When we move in together can we hire her as a cook? She's better than Patrick."

"Agreed. So I've been thinking. I like it here in LA." He started. But he stopped mid sentence like he was hesitating or something. He's adorable. "We should buy a summer home here or weekend home because we come here damn near every week."

"Okay. Let's do it."

After breakfast we decided visit a realtor to find a place. We ended up with a loft on the top floor in the middle of Downtown LA.

After we bought the loft we got dressed so that we could meet up with our parents. The drive was silent mostly aside from the radio playing.

We arrived at the restaurant and Mike, Tony, and Jaime were outside smoking and having a very intense conversation.

We get out the car and walk over to them.

"All I'm saying is that last night I did not fuck Tay. I fucked Hayley." Jaime stated calmly to Mike, who just looked pissed off.

"You fucked Hayley?" Vic spat angrily.

"Is that a problem?" I asked. Now I'm mad. Who the fuck do he think he is. I don't see why he's mad when we can have sex anytime he wants.

He didn't say anything. I guess that's my answer.  I decided to walk in the restaurant to greet our parents.  I guess everyone had the same idea since they followed behind me.

I spot them over in a isolated area having a conversation of their own. "Mom, Dad." I say engulfing them in a hug."I missed you guys." I haven't seen them in a few weeks. But I know that they're busy and I'm not really complaining. "Hello Vivan. It's great to see you again. I see you're still as beautiful as ever." I say with a fake smile to Vic and Mike's mom. Don't get me wrong she's beautiful but I'm not in the mood to me happy. I turn to their dad. "Victor, still rocking that suit. I see. No one can pull of suits like you can."

"Kellin stop kissing my parents ass." Mike says behind me.

"Language Micheal." Victor scolded him.

"Oops"

I looked at Vic who had a blank expression on his face. I don't see why he's mad. He's the one who still into his so called 'fuck buddy'.

The rest of lunch went by uneventful. We talked about future plans, my dad got me a job lined up after college. Vic's parents are planning to leave the country for a few weeks.

****
I stand here nervous as can be. Currently we are in line for graduation waiting to be seated. Vic is next to me and Jaime and Tony next to him. Vic and I haven't talked since we left the restaurant. I'm still mad at him and he knows not to say anything to me.

"Guys before we go out there how about a chant." Jaime practically yelled.

We all agree and got in a circle with just the four of us.

"Okay guys starting with Tony." Vic said.

Hey Tony. We all chanted.

"Yeah"

The devil

"Yeah"

The devil is every where

"Okay."

Hey Jaime.

"Yo."

The devil.

"Okay."

The devil is every where.

"Yeah."

Hey Kellin

"Here."

The devil

"Yeah."

The devil is every where.

"Whooo"

Hey Vic

"Yo."

The devil

"Okay."

The devil is every where

"Yeah!"

P.T.V. Yeah.

We all screamed as we walked to be seated.

The ceremony was boring. Nothing happened. Tony was called on stage to give his valedictorian speech and the whole room went quiet.

"Class of 2015. Today I stand here in front of am amazing group of people. Over the last four years. I've watched as we grew from children to young adults."

"Not all of us!" Someone in the crowd of students yelled causing an round of laughter.

"Yeah. Most of us. Today I'm supposed to tell you to follow your dreams and become something of yourselves. When people asks us what we want to be. Our answers are always Doctor, lawyer, or in Kellin's case a Queen."

"That was one time Tony!" I yelled.

"The point is be who you want to be. Not who you are expected to be. Kellin if you want to be a queen be the best damn queen you can be. I mean as a guy that might be hard but you managed to be queen of Mission Bay for four years. The point I'm trying to make is that if you love what you do that's great but if you do what you love then you're happy. Class of 2015 you were great and I'm proud to be one of you." Tony concluded and walked back off stage.

Afterwards they called all of our names and we all walked across stage making funny faces or dancing. Vic and I walked across together despite my being mad at him. We kissed on stage and accepted our diplomas. When it was all over we threw our hats in the air and cheered.

Hell is finally over. Or in my case. I'm leaving my kingdom.
