To Caress My Day

Chapter 205: Older Elements

Twigs plunge both of her dainty hands garnished with a motley of golden rings through Seth’s short dark hair, imprisoning his lips into a kiss that she yearned to last a lifetime. Hearing him moan softly into her mouth, she felt his strong arms already enclosed around her tighten even further to embrace her petite frame against his towering one, his hands smoothing down her hips to cup her perk behind in her acid wash jeans. Spellbound by the other’s passion, the couple parted their lips to probe even deeper into the other’s soul, deaf to the world around them.

Turns out, Simone was a part of that world. She figured it out when she was cut off from perusing the living room of her new home by the sound of heavy breathing and lip smacking. Frowning, she glanced over her shoulder to catch the couple in the throes of kindling up the passion that crackled between them every time they were in the same room together. Simone wouldn’t have had an issue with it if they weren’t about to make a baby in HER future house! Setting her hands on her hips, Simone was forced to act promptly when Seth’s feet began to lead his girlfriend towards the couch behind her. “Oh hell no! Y’all better back the fuck up from my damn couch!” The couple broke apart as if she just walked in on them from somewhere else. Pointing at Seth with a finger, Simone warned him. “Listen here, buddy, I don’t care if your jizz is worth a TRILLION dollars, I still don’t want your cum stains on my couch!”

“Y-Yeah, I’m...sorry about that.” Seth apologized wholeheartedly, scratching the back of his head as his tongue slipped out to trail along his lips, reliving the taste of his girlfriend. He shuddered at the memory. “I must have gotten a little too carried away there.”

“Me too.” Twigs seconded shamefully, lowering her eyes when her former roommate shot a glare in her direction.

Closing the distance between her and Seth, Simone opened her arms to give him a hug in both clemency and gratitude. “Forget about all that! I don’t really care anyway. What I do care about at the moment is how indebted I am to you for all that you’ve done for me, Seth. This house is so adorable and very close to the location I need to be in order for my career to blossom!”

“Still, it wasn’t necessary.” Twigs muttered, uttering her unfaltering disapproval of her boyfriend backing her friend. “I’m sure we would have done just as good without his help if we had only taken the chance.”

“Shut up, Tahliah.” Simone replied, not breaking her concentration from Seth long enough to acknowledge Twigs anymore than that. She wasn’t done glorifying the man. “You went above and beyond my expectations and were so willing to lend a hand when you didn’t have to. You looked out for me to make sure everything went smoothly and that no one took advantage of me. There’s no amount of words or money in the world that could make up for all you’ve done.”

“I can agree with you on that one.” Seth acceded with a smile, pulling back enough to look down at her, his hands cupping her elbows. “I’ve given up on trying to phrase to you how indebted I am that you’ve remained such good friends with my Tahliah, and for looking out for her for me in my many absences.”

“Well, you’re gonna be thankful to be for the rest of your life then. Cause it doesn't matter where I am in the world, I’m never gonna stop looking out for my girl, Tahliah, I can promise you that.” Simone vowed with determination, a grin on her face.

“Oh, I know that already.” Seth assured her then gestured with a swing of his arm to their surroundings. “So, now that you two are finally here, would you like to see the rest of the house?”

“Absolutely, babe.” Twigs said with a nod just as eager as Simone’s.

“Awesome, let’s head through here first.” Seth elected, leading the way through a broad arched entryway behind the couch. It led into a dining room with a circular glass table in the center and four black chairs tucked in around it. On the center of the table was a gunmetal four candlestick candelabra. To their far left by the corner was a soaring wooden framed mirror that was the size of an entryway and almost reached the ceiling. There were hardly any worthwhile framed pictures on the walls. On the other side of the table from them was a window shaped opening in the wall with white shutters that peered into the kitchen. It was a place that perhaps was used to pass plates through to the dining room, and now had a long skinny table shoved against the wall underneath it with decorative bowls. Next to each end stood tall metal stands with a singular large chunky white candle balanced on the very top.

Interested about the opening to the kitchen, Twigs rounded the table to stretch up onto her tiptoes to peep inside. “Is that really the kitchen on the other side, Seth?”

“It is, love. Wanna see it next?” Seth inquired, earning a round of ‘yes’. Taking the lead again, he walked them through another broad archway to Twig’s right that led back into the skylighted area they accessed through from the front door. Passing along the few potted flourishing plants along the way in front of a floor to ceiling arched window, Seth recommended to the buyer. “If you’re interested in indoor plants, Simone, this would be one of the ideal spots to have them with the sunlight coming in through the windows and skylights.”

“I can get into that.” Simone considered with a nod as she surveyed the appealing spot over with an envious Twigs. “My mom has a green thumb. Maybe I’ve inherited it and just don’t know it yet.”

“There’s only one way to find out. Oh yeah, before we check out the kitchen, let me show you this area.” Seth indicated to the room Twigs had barely snooped into when she first entered the house in search for him. It was in the opposite direction of the living room and was circular in shape. In the center of the room was a circular wooden table with two chairs and a bowl of fruit in the center. From where they stood gandering in, they saw only windows until Seth pointed out the two drybar areas built into the walls on either side of them that could also be used as extra storage. There was also a white door that Simone could use to exit the house if she didn’t want to go through the front door.

“This would be an awesome place to have breakfast with tea at.” Twigs commented with glee at the thought. While she’d be having hers in cold gray London on her own, at least her dear friend would have it in the warm lovely California weather. She was a tiny bit jealous though.

“Speaking of breakfast, can we see the kitchen now?” Simone queried Seth with a pout.

“Yeah, it’s right through this entryway here.” Seth mentioned, allowing them to step into the gallery kitchen. The cabinets on both sides of the kitchen were made up of the simple old school cabinet wood, and the countertops were white tiles that went with the white appliances.

Tilting her head to the side, Simone noted. “This house seems to have some older elements to it that I’m noticing here and there.”

“It was built in 1927.” Seth educated her. “But if you’ve got the money, I can contact some renovators for you to get some upgrades done to this place, if you want.”

“No, I’m fine with it. Maybe somewhere down the line years from now I will.” Simone resolved with an upbeat nod. “I’d rather focus on solidifying my career instead than this house so it’ll do.”

“Ooo, I think I spy a stackable washer and dryer here for you, Simone!” Twigs gasped with excitement at the other end of the kitchen. “Girl, that means you won’t have to go to a laundromat anymore!”

“Hallelujah!” Simone exclaimed with a whoop, throwing her hands up in celebration. “Gone are the days I gotta lug my dirty laundry down the street for everybody to see!”

“I suppose the next question should be if you can fit all those clothes in your master closet.” Seth remarked with a shrug. “Wanna go check it out?”

“Now that you put that negativity out into the universe? YES!” Simone chided him with a lively smile.

Following Seth back into the living room, he led them down a hall to the right. It went right to the master bedroom which was massive! Seth let them enter first, staying behind to take in their faces. “According to the realtor this bedroom had been extended.”

“No, shit, huh.” Simone replied, in awe of the size of the room that could fit her old bedroom, living room and kitchen with room to spare! The white plush bed was a queen size that had two black nightstands on either side. The wall it was closest to was a humongous built-in for books and such things that spread from one end of the wall to the other.

“Wow, do you think it’s enough room to fit all your trashy dirty novels, Simone?” Twigs jested, failing to bite back a smile. She couldn’t resist glancing over at her roommate, expecting to see her middle finger directed at her with a smile also spread across her face. “Well, I think so.”
