To Caress My Day

Chapter 254: That It Has

When the sun sank down and the moon ascended into the night sky, the bachelor party decided to retire all their gambling and head straight to the clubs instead. They drank a lot, won a whole stock of money and squandered a whole stock of money. Taking shelter within a dark club with flashing colorful lights, thundering music, and a mass of equally drunk folks sounded like the next ideal step for tonight.

Seth, as drunk as he was, didn’t agree. He was NOT the clubbing type. Even when he was younger back in the days, the club scene was still not really for him. Yes, he’d go out of pressure and to socialize with his buds and others, but he would always itch to get back to his animation with every passing minute. “I…I don’t know, you guys. I’m not really the dancing type.”

“Oh, c’mon, boss! You gotta do it!” Frederick Sharpe, the groom, lamented until he was cut off by a hiccup. Stumbling backwards to Seth to fling his arm around his shoulder, he reminded him with a smack of his hand on his chest. “Need I remind you it’s my bachelor party?”

Seth nodded, not anywhere close to forgetting no matter how drunk he was. “Yeah, yeah I know, bu-”

“But nothing! There’s a whole lotta hot chicks hitting the clubs right now at this time of night!” Aaron Bates broadcasted to his boys, a lustful grin on his face as he stretched his arms wide like he just discovered a new unexplored land. “And the best part, they’re all drunk too!”

Cringing at how rapey that sounded, Seth made a face as he looked at Aaron. “Dude, that sounds gross!”

“Sir, it’s been a long time since we’ve seen you actually dally with a woman.” Spencer Dyer pointed out this well-known fact. Their boss was a celebrity so information on who he was dating or seen with was super easy to exhume from the internet. “Tonight we’re gonna change that!”

“STOP!” Seth tried his best to shout as he held up a smacking palm in threat. The drunk men around him all looked taken aback then frightened that they might have pushed their boss too far by proposing they’d find him a woman to spend his time with. Lowering his voice, Seth asked them. “If I swear that I’ll go…will you guys promise to stay out of the business that is my love life?”

The men collectively glanced at each other, shrugged then nodded to their boss. Harrison tipped his cowboy hat at him with a playful grin. “How about a raise instead?”

The club Seth ended up in wasn’t what he was expecting at all. The performers were all Burlesque dancers, shedding their racy garments a bit at a time. Sitting down among his boys, Seth kinda felt uneasy watching these women undress. He was the only one who seemed to be actually. The others were cheering and catcalling the women with every article of clothing they sensually removed. Seth sat there rubbing his palms together and deflected his mind to examining their lingerie instead. It made him think of his girlfriend and how it would look on her. Soon, he wasn’t seeing these pale women with polished long loose waves of hair disrobe…he was seeing ebony curls and the tanner skin of his lover strip for him. It wasn’t that hard to imagine considering she danced similar ways before for him.

The shiver that ran through his entire body was enough to set him afire inside. His chest rose and fell as he visualized Twigs wearing the same turquoise lace strappy two piece with a matching corset and heels. Biting his lip to quench the temptation to vocally moan at the image in his head he could distinctly see before him, Seth shifted in his seat as his cock twitched to life and began to swell. Tearing his eyes from the dancer, he stared down at his drink, fixating safely on that instead. No need for an erection in front of the boys who kept their promise to not to fetch a random drunk woman for him. If they were to see it, it would only make him look even more pathetic to the point they might break their promise out of pity.

Fantasizing about his girlfriend sensually dancing for him that way had made him feel a little better though. He’d been missing her like crazy! He wondered if it was because he knew she could 100% pull of the same exact moves with perfection that made the switch work so well. If not, it still gave him a sense of pride for his multi-talented girlfriend, that’s for sure. Damnit, there he went thinking about her again! Glancing down at his lap, Seth sighed at the engorged boner there. Rolling his eyes at himself, he leaned close to Aaron who was completely captivated on the show now that the woman had discarded her bra. “Hey, I’m gonna head to the bathroom. I’ll be right back.”

“Yeah sure, man.” Aaron answered, too preoccupied to give a damn.

Rising to his feet, Seth heads towards the bright sign labeled ‘Restrooms’. The club was dark but he was able to maneuver around the leather seating booths easily due to his vision adjusting to the lack of light. The archway into the restroom turned out to be an exit into the casino area of a hotel. Seth halted in his step, finding it bizarre the club, though built within the hotel, didn’t have its own bathroom, but instead expected their customers to find one in the infinite floor of the Casino itself. Shrugging it off, he went in search of it anyway, pondering to himself what time it was in London at the moment. Perhaps he can get his girlfriend on facetime and convince her to do a burlesque show for him.

Nah, Twigs probably wouldn’t agree to it at a time like this.

Frowning to himself because it wouldn’t happen today, Seth was too immersed in his own mind to deviate out of the way of a person walking in the opposite direction of him. Their shoulders collided against each other a little too forceful to just keep on walking by like nothing happened. Spinning around quickly with his hands out, Seth opened his mouth to blurt out an apology. “Oh shit, ma’am, I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to hit you like that, I didn’t se-”

Seth’s words were choked back when the woman he bumped into spins around too to face him too, likely with an apology on her lips. Only it was Avery, his ex-fiance, looking right back at him!

Taken aback by Avery’s appearance in Las Vegas, Seth looked her up and down suspiciously. “Avery?”

“Seth.” Avery said his name, helpless to hide the surprise on her face too as she looked him up and down in the same suspicious manner. That suspicion went away when she was how good he looked.

Not sexually, but healthily!

Her ex looked great! He looked like the good old Seth she used to know. It made her feel peaceful seeing him this way. The last time she saw him he looked like hell, but now it was reversed. Suddenly, she was authentically glad to have walked into him again. She wanted to laugh and give him a good old warm hug between amiable friends, but…she restrained that temptation. She couldn’t be certain how Seth would receive that heartfelt reception from her considering she dumped him and broke his heart the last time they saw one another.

Four years of their lives down the drain.

Four years!

Curling her hands into fists at her side to keep from reaching out to him for a hug that had always been instinctual in the past between them, Avery uncurled her fists and clasped her hands in front of her with a small smile. “Hey.”

“Hey.” Seth said back, shoving his hands into his short pockets. This random meeting of theirs was already getting awkward for him on a super cringy level. Because they used to date, Seth estimated the distance between his body and hers so that it was an extensive enough gap that no one passing by could ever mistake them as past or present lovers. There was no way in hell he was ever gonna walk down that road again! No, not since he met the love of his life.

Because of the awkward silence bearing down on their shoulders, Avery stated the obvious. “It’s been awhile.”

“That it has.” Seth agreed with a nod, glancing around as he recalled when they last saw each other. Brows furrowing, he recounted to her. “We haven’t seen one another since you dumped me and savagely ripped my heart out of my chest with your cold harpy hands.”

Avery’s eyes narrowed into a glare at him for depicting her as some malicious heartbreaker. Like she meant to break his heart into pieces and walk away straight into the arms of her Happily Ever After! Yes, she’ll admit that’s exactly how it went, but…she NEVER in her life wanted to hurt him even when she was cheating on him behind his back for all those years. It was never with the intention to hurt him just…to feel love again. “Ah, I see. You’re clearly not past that after all this time.”

“Oh, I beg to differ. I’m perfectly fine as you can see.” Seth refuted, opening his arms so she can see for herself that he was fit, healthy and happier than he ever was. He could even smile at her, a feat that was impossible after she broke his heart. He couldn’t bite his tongue from boasting about the reason why so she knew she no longer had any power over him. “In fact, I’m madly in love with a woman as we speak that has excelled at completely erasing every single wasted memory I’ve ever had of you.”
