The first time Grace really met James, she was reading a library book by the lake outside. James had some fireworks from Weasley’s Wizards Wheezes, a company his uncles ran. The fireworks had shot into the lake, spraying water everywhere and ruining Grace’s library book. Grace had screamed at James that he would have to pay for the book. A Ravenclaw couldn’t be banned from the library in her second year.
Grace explained the story to the librarian, who informed her that she could fix the book. However, she gave Grace such a lecture that Grace left in tears. She even ran into James on her way out. That was when Grace decided she hated James Potter for the first time.
