I remained calm , maybe it wasn't meant for us.

I answered yes , my voice filled with confusion and panic.

"You didn't pay. Today was pay day. Now it's over"

"Shan , what are they talking about?"

I ignored her , I shouldn't have ignored her words.

It was the last words she's ever spoken , and it was all my fault.

He shot her in the heart

"That's for making us wait"

They ran off , scrambled off while I held the body of my beautiful fiancee in my arms.

Trembling , I watched her take her last breath.

I closed her eyes while wailing like nothing I've ever done.
