A Brontide Lullaby

She Hits Like A Girl

School had started on a Wednesday, and though that first day was far from pleasing the days that had followed weren't exceptionally bad. Kaiden had finally gotten his "revenge" for Allison's rough behavior, the ending result involving a now squeaky stall door and purple splotches decorating her neck. The Friday that had followed their activities Allison had gotten multiple questionable looks from student's and teachers but this didn't compel her to cover them up. She was wanted and desired by people and she proudly advertised it.

It was now Monday morning and Allison was curled up in her bed harboring a major hangover. Whoever suggested having a party on a Sunday night was not thinking clearly. Allison's heart dropped as sun filtered through her eye mask and Sun's snoring managed to squeeze past her ear plugs.

What she wouldn't give for a couple more hours of sleep...

The morning sun was not a surprise nor was the chatter out in the halls but what was unexpected was the gentle breeze that pushed her hair into her face followed by a distant voice calling her name.

Part of her mind must've still been lingering in a dream reluctant to join reality.

A rough hand was placed on her shoulder and gave her a stern shake, "Ms. Lancaster, wake up." The voice was closer now and another breeze brushed past her. In her sleepy haze she was still able to realize she wasn't in her dorm. Dorm rooms didn't have breezes, and boys-- much less male teachers-- were not allowed in the women's dorm rooms with out special permission or a third person present.

Now fully awake and feeling on edge, Allison sprung up into a sitting position and tore off her eye mask. A befuddled Coach Roseman stood in front of her with the football team looking highly amused behind him.

She was on the pristine, artificial field, but she was still in her bed-- her bed was sitting in the middle of the football field.

"Ms. Lancaster, what are you doing out here?" He wasn't irritated or amused, just as confused as Allison looked.

The prank might have been clever and taken a lot of effort to pull off but this would no doubt put Allison in an ill mood. That was not the type of Allison he liked to put up with in class.

His voice was muffled by the plugs still in her ears making her yank them out, and look wide eyed at the surrounding group with rosy cheeks.

Much to Klaus' distaste he couldn't help but think that she looked, well, cute. Her rosy cheeks and wide blue eye's made her appear vulnerable which was a word he would never use to describe Allison, the way she clutched tightly to her sheets only added to the effect.

His stomach flipped uncomfortably when the sun peaked out from behind a cloud and reflected angelically off her hair changing her innocent appearance into one of a girl that had just been thoroughly ravished...

"I, uh, don't know..." She responded quietly, her mind racing too fast for her to even make a complete sentence.

She remembered getting profusely drunk the night before and then... passing out. In a alcohol induced sleep she would have been like a rock giving the boys time to move her and her bed to the field...

A quite chuckle that was covered up with a cough caught her attention. Her insides began burning as the hideous beast inside her reared it's head and began clawing at her, trying to force her into action. She had been defenseless with the amount of alcohol laced into her system, and in this vulnerable state she had been taken advantage of.

She locked eyes with Kaiden and as she growled one word with pure venom his grin dropped.

"You."

Before anyone could react Allison had pounced from her bed and was chasing the culprit across the field.

God! Why couldn't I be wearing a sports bra?!

He tried to twist and turn hoping it would cause her to slip up. Kaiden was probably a faster sprinter but Allison was like a wolf wanting needing to taste the blood of her enemy.

She could hear the team laughing hysterically, and Roseman shouting out her to stop; by the volume of his voice it was easy to guess he was chasing after them as well.

Being more distracted watching the angry girl behind him Kaiden tripped over his own feet giving Allison just enough time to lunge at him. Her vision was clouded with red and her eyes were focused on the sickening face beneath her, her killer headache only accpomlishing to irritate her more.

She didn't really think about what she was doing, she saw a chance and she took it. The whoosh of her fist moving through the air was soon followed by the sound of bone on bone and what she believed was a crack. That was the only hit she was able to land before she was yanked off of him and hoisted off the ground, but one was enough to elicit a howl from Kaiden.

"Lancaster you do realize how many detention periods you have now, don't make me bump up the number." Roseman practically shouted over her own cursing.

His arms were wrapped tightly around her effectivly pinning her arms to her sides and holding the petite girl tightly against his chest he was able to drag her away. For a girl her size she was surprisingly strong, and had a shockingly foul mouth despite her angelic features.

Her usual silvery voice was now deep and taut as she shrieked obscene words at Kaiden whom was too preoccupied with his bloody nose to pay her any attention.

Yeah, okay, I need to get her out of here before she rips me a new one.

With a pained grunt Niklaus flipped her around and threw her over his shoulder. He hooked his arm over the back of her knees which were, thankfully, smooth and velvety. As fast as he could without dropping her he moved to the locker room with her beating his back with her dainty, little fists.

Technically girls weren't allowed in the boys locker room but this wasn't a rule was bendable and she had probably seen everything the boys locker room had to offer. He put her down as soon as the door shut and let her go to town while he planted himself between her and the door.

"That little-- ass! Jackass fucking--" She flung a jersey across the room then turned to scowl at Niklaus, for a moment, he was frightened she had decided to take her anger out on him. "He's behind this! The smarmy git purposely got me so fucked up I'd pass out! He's so- so-- agh!"

The little spitfire continued on like this for a few more minutes before her voice gradually softened and she slumped down against a locker. Her frustration was like a smoldering fire in her eyes turning they're crystal like blueness into a pewter.

Chest heaving, her eyes focused on the locker in front of her willing it to crumble under her intense gaze. Niklaus could practically feel the anger rolling off of her in waves like a repellant. Still unsure about her he inched forward and crouched down beside her with delicate look.

He could tell by the far away look she had her mind was else where and deep in the folds of her own thoughts. He considered standing back up and busying himself by cleaning up her busy rather than break the silence. The emotion in her eyes made made the decesion for him. They were unreadable but looked corrupted and dark; whatever she was pondering it wasn't happy.

"Are you okay?" He questioned softly.

Allison huffed, pushing her walls back up she withdrew back into her cave. "Yes."

"And your hand?" He gestured to her hand which was covered by her other one.

"You should see the other guy."

Niklaus couldn't help but chuckle quietly at her response though there was no amusement in her voice. "In all seriousness, does it hurt? That was sturdy blow, unless you do that often your hand has to hurt at least a little."

Allison reflexively hid her injured hand further from sight and muttered her reply, "Okay, yes it does hurt. Despite what you might think I don't go around punching people."

Roseman smiled tightly at her and nodded his head before getting up, and returning with a first aid kit. She dropped down beside her and began sifting through the box looking for an ice pack.

Allison arched her eyebrow then glanced down to her red knuckles, "I don't think I'll need any Band-Aids."

She went back to watching Coach Roseman and saw him pulling out an ice pack; one of the ones you just have to shake to get cold. He tossed the box to the side and gingerly pulled her hand onto his knee. "No but you will have to keep ice on it to keep the swelling down."

Carfully placing the ice pack on her hand he made sure that it wasn't causing her any pain before letting her go. When she retracted her hand he was left with goose skin blanketing his legs. His knee that had been warmed by her small hand was now being assaulted by the chilled, locker room air.

Allison pulled her injured hand and knees close to her chest; the fact that she probably looked like a homeless stripper made her feel self conscious in front of such a handsome man. Being accustomed to the boyish looks of the males around her school caused her to feel self conscious and a little overwhelmed in front of someone who had a matured beauty like Coach Roseman.

Quickly getting uncomfortable in the silence she cleared her throat and spoke the first thing that came to mind. "Don't expect me to apologize?"

"Oh I wasn't. Apologizing obviously isn't your forte. Besides, you're gonna get a sufficient amount of detention." He replied casually. "Quite the temper you have? I didn't think someone your size could have so much power."

"I didn't think you'd be able to hold me back, so I guess we were both proved wrong." Allison remembered his ability to sweep her off of Kaiden like she was a rag doll. Being pressed against the chiseled planes of his chest with his sinewy arms keeping her from her victim. Her first assessment of him had obviously been wrong and he was far from just a lean man with no strength.

Niklaus noticed the jersey she had thrown and a thought popped into his head. The school day had started an hour previous to the disagreement between Allison and Kaiden, but for obvious reasons Niklaus couldn't send her off to class in her PJs.

Shifting to stand on his knees he reached for a pile of freshly washed towels and tossed one in front of her. "You'll have to cover up while you get back to your dorm; this is the best I can do right now."

Allison carefully picked up the fluffy clothe and held it close to her wrinkled nose, "It still smells like ass." She mumbled unhappily, casting a questioning look at Roseman.

Klaus folded his arms over his chest returning her look with one of authority. Just because he had be softier on her then usual he didn't want Allison to assume he was going to be any easier on her. Unfortunately, he had a feeling that nothing he did would convince Allison he had power over her.

The blonde scoffed; his dour look was a sad attempt at a typical parent-like glare. If he wanted her to respect him he would have to do a lot more than scowl in hopes that it would convey his dominance.
She slung the stained fabric round her shoulders and pulled it against herself.

Klaus smirked victoriously when she gave in and wrapped herself in the towel. He knew it wasn't himself who had gotten her to back down and use the resources at hand instead it had been a choice she had made that was not influenced by him. If she truly didn't want to use the towel there was no doubt in his mind that she would walk around in her current attair.

"I'll take care of your teacher so you won't be written up for skipping. You'll have morning detention with me for two weeks starting Wednesday, don't be late." He held the door open letting her exit and walked along side her down the hall.

"And I'd hurry if I were you. First block is about to end and missing two classes is something the cheer captain shouldn't do."

Allison's grip on the towel tightened, silently grateful her nails were being dug into the fabric instead of her palms. Waking up an hour earlier than need be was not an appealing thought but she had no other option with practices afterschool.

"Of course, Coach Roseman." She bit out through clenched teeth.

When she didn't make any attempt to pick up her pace he glanced down at her with raised eyebrows. "I meant hurry as in it wouldn't be the worst idea if you decide to start jogging." He responded with a tone of underlying sass.

A strained muscle could be seen on her jaw as her expression hardened. With more self restraint then she knew she had she began jogging with out uttering a word, leaving her gym teacher behind and the towel flowing behind her like a cape.
