Don't React When I Tell You

Vic kissed the back of my neck gently, his lips peppering over my shoulder and down the side of my back to wake me up. I made a little noise, fighting to go back to sleep.
“No,” he whined and rubbed my side gently, his lips brushing my skin as he spoke. “Wake up,” I groaned and rolled over, Vic putting his arm over me to hold himself up.
“I’m still sleepy,” I complained, yawning tiredly. “How, I did all the work,” I laughed and smiled up at him. “I don’t care,”
He scoffed dramatically and then laughed.
“Well, it’s almost three in the afternoon, so we should get up,” I frowned and sighed, content to just lie in bed with him all day. “Kell, come on,” Vic said, nuzzling my neck. “No-o, can’t we just spend today in bed?”
He shook his head, even as he lay down beside me and wrapped his arms around my middle.
“We shouldn’t,” he said without much conviction. “Why not? We’re married adults; I think we should be able to decide when we want to stay in bed,”
Vic laughed at me and shook his head lightly. “You’re silly, you know that?” I grinned and nodded, leaning forward to kiss his lips. “I don’t care; I’ll be silly, as long as we don’t have to get up,” He laughed again and kissed my cheek.
“Okay, okay, you win. We’ll stay in bed and watch movies or do whatever you want,”
I smiled happily and cuddled into his arms. “Movies sound nice,” I said and closed my eyes.
Vic was so warm and comforting; I could stay in his arms forever. He kept one arm around me, using the other to slide his fingertips up and down my spine.
I shivered pleasantly and smiled, loving how lightly his fingers brushed my skin. They sent little tingles through my body, leaving behind the most loving feeling.
“You’re such a little cuddlebug,” Vic teased, smiling at me as I snuggled tighter against him.
“So? I like to cuddle you. You’re warm and soft and gentle, and you give the best hugs,” Vic blushed slightly, making me grin. “And I love you,” He smiled back, tipping his head up as I leant down to slot our lips together.
“You’re perfect,” he said and moved so that we ere on our sides. I smiled as he kissed my neck again, leaving little feather-light kisses down to my shoulder. “Are you hungry?” I asked, unable to remember the last time he fed.
“Kind of,” I sighed, frowning slightly. He never wanted to ask me, usually waiting until I brought it up, or he was starving.
I wriggled around in his arms, holding my wrist out to him. Vic sighed and kissed it, grinning as I rolled my eyes.
He bit me then, sinking his teeth into the soft flesh of my wrist, and moaning quietly as he drank, having put it off for a while. “You’re ridiculous,” I mumbled as he took a few more swallows and then healed it over with his tongue.
“Why?” he asked and licked his lips, wiping the blood off of them.
“Because you wait so long to feed,” Vic frowned at me. “I don’t like hurting you,” he said sweetly, even though that was absurd.
“It’s not bad. Honestly, I don’t mind. You can’t keep starving yourself. I won't let you,” He didn’t have to feed nearly as much now because my blood was stronger as an immortal, but he put it off longer than I did; he let me bit him all the time.
“Sometimes I forget you’re not still the little fragile human I remember,” I smiled and kissed him again. “Well I’m not, so now you’re the silly one. And in case you forgot, that fragile human likes to be bitten,”
Vic laughed and nodded. “Yes, thank you for the reminder………I love you,” I smiled up at him. “I love you more,” ~

Kellin sat down on top of me, a cheeky smile on his lips. “Hi,” he said brightly and rested his hands on my stomach.
“Hi,” I said amusedly, lowering my phone to look at him. “What are you doing?” he asked, his voice overly innocent.
“Nothing. What are you doing?” He bit his lip, still grinning at me. “Sitting on you,” I rolled my eyes, shaking my head at him. “You’re silly,” Kellin nodded and started playing with the hem of my shirt.
“Did you want something?” I asked knowingly. “Not really…” he mumbled, lying. “Oh really? So you came in here to play with my shirt and watch me read?”
He shook his head, biting his lip again. “I um…nevermind,” I shook my head slightly and set my phone down before flipping us. I lay Kellin on his back on the opposite end of the bed, hovering over him.
“This about the baby, isn’t it?” I asked. “Well, kind of. I wanted to have sex, but I thought of that, and, um…” his voice trailed off towards the end, Kellin blushing slightly.
“Okay, Kell, any time you want,” His eyes widened, apparently not expecting that.
“Really?” I nodded and smiled down at him. “It’s you choice to get pregnant Kell. So, whenever you want to, we will,” He smiled back at me, and then reached up to pull me down. I kissed him, loving how soft his lips were.
“I’ll get the spell today,” I said, trying not to worry about my dad’s reaction. “You’re the best, you know that?” I laughed and pecked his lips. “Maybe. I just love you too much,”
Kellin grinned and propped up on his elbows to kiss me. “So, tonight then?” he asked playfully.
“You’re so fucking eager……and horny,” I teased, laughing when Kellin nodded. “Excuse me for liking sex with you,” he said, pretending to pout.
“I wasn’t complaining,” Kellin grinned back at me. “I guess you’ll want me to get that now,” I said. “Please?” I smiled and shook my head.
“You’re lucky I’m so obsessed with making you happy,” I said, Kellin kissing my cheek before I disappeared.

I walked into my dad’s study, my heart speeding up a little as he looked up at me. “Victor, what a surprise,” he said, his voice unreadable.
“Hi dad,” He nodded and gestured to the space in front of his desk. “What is it that you want?” he asked and set his pen down.
“That’s a bit presumptuous of you,” He sighed and sat back in his chair as I walked forward. “What is it, Vic?” he asked exasperatedly. “Um, I was wondering if I could have the spell,” He sighed again, knowing exactly which spell I meant.
“Jumping into this so quickly then?” I frowned, crossing my arms over my chest.
“Why do you care? It’s my decision,” I said. “Is it? Or is it his decision, and you’re just going along with it to please him?” he shot back.
“It’s both of ours. We’ve discussed it, and we’re ready, so back off,” He shook his head, frowning at me. “Why do you care all of a sudden?” I asked. “You’re still my son Victor,”
I shook my head incredulously.
“So, what; I’m still your son, even though you don’t approve? Why do you hate him so much?” Kellin had never done anything to him; it wasn’t fair.
“I don’t hate him Vic, but I think that you’re rushing into things, and I’m more concerned about your future than him,” he said. “I’m not rushing into things. Hell, I waited three years before I asked him to marry me,”
My dad just shook his head. “You’ve only been married for a few months Vic. What if you change your mind? You can’t just get rid of a child,”
I fought the urge to roll my eyes. “It doesn’t matter. I loved him for longer than we’ve been married, and I’m not going to change my mind, so stop treating me like a child,” I said. “And let you have one? You’re not ready to be a parent,”
I pressed my lips tightly, hating that he thought he knew everything. “You don’t know that,”
My mom walked in, a frown on her face. “What’s all that arguing I hear?” she asked and smiled when she saw me. “Vic, how lovely to see you,” she said and kissed my cheek.
I smiled a little and hugged her slightly. “Now, what seems to be the issue?”
I sighed and looked at my father. “Dad refuses to let me have the spell, and insisting that I’m incapable of raising a child,” My mom raised an eyebrow at dad, making him grimace slightly. I was grateful she had walked in, because the only thing my dad was afraid of was my mom.
“Victor, is that true?” she asked in that mom tone of voice. “No. I was saying that he wasn’t ready to have children, and that he was rushing into having them before he could change his mind.”
I did roll my eyes this time. “Vic, have you talked it through with Kellin?” I nodded. “We both want kids and I’m not going to change my mind. I love Kellin,” I said, looking him in the eyes. “You can’t have the spell,”
I glared, fighting down the curse words. “That isn’t your decision,” mom said.
“Vic’s an adult, and a married man. He has the right to decide when he’s ready. Now, you’ll give him the spell, and let him lead his own life.” My father scoffed, angrily staring at mom. “Vivian, you can’t honestly believe that he and that boy are ready for children,” he said.
“He has a name,” He took a moment to glare at me before looking back at mom. “Yes, I do. Kellin's a lovely person, and he treats Vic wonderfully. He’s good for him Victor, whether you believe so or not. Now, don’t make me get it for him,” I bit my lip, slightly nervous from the edge to her tone.
“Vivian—“Don’t you ‘Vivian’ me. Now,” I flinched, as did my dad, who turned and picked up a book from behind him. “Here,” he said coldly. I took the book from him, noticing the way my mom smiled.
“Thank you,” He frowned, shooing at me. “Victor,” mom scolded, earning a sigh from him.
I smiled a little, letting mom kiss me goodbye. “Tell Kellin I said hello love,” I nodded and kissed her cheek before leaving. ~
