Let Love Bleed Red

Chapter 30

After the song had ended, Kellin took my hand, holding it up.
"And a round of applause for my beautiful friend Kira!" I smiled over at him as he smiled out at the crowd. He was beaming. It felt like my heart was melting in my chest. I loved seeing him so happy. I leaned in close to him.
"I'll see you tonight.." I said, walking off stage. Before turning away I saw his eyes get wide. When I got back to the wings, I leaned against the back wall and continued to watch the rest of their set. It was just as good as I imagined.

It wasn't long until they were taking their final bows and the lights went down. In the dark I felt someone grab me around the waist pulling me into a tight hug. It only took a few seconds for me to figure out it was Kellin. I giggled, pulling him in closer, running my hands through his sweaty hair, then wrapping my arms around his neck. I waited for my eyes to adjust to the dark.
"You were great." I said. He smiled, now leaning his forehead against mine.
"Thank you for staying." He said. "And thank you for singing with me." Singing with him. I felt my cheeks burn. It's like he knew all along how I got singing with him. He lead me back stage.

"So, we always have an after party the first night of the tour. Would you be my date?" He asked, slipping his hand into mine.
"I guess it couldn't hurt." I said, smirking at him. He stopped and smiled.
"You're not even gonna fight me on that?" He asked. I sighed, shaking my head, intertwining our fingers.
"No." I said simply. He stopped and turned to me, putting his other hand on his hip.
"Are you okay?" He giggled. I rolled my eyes, pulling him closer, gently kissing him. I could feel him smile, now reaching in for my shirt, pulling me in closer.
"So where's the after party?" I asked. He lead me back down the hall.
"Just at the closest bar around in whatever town were in." He giggled. "We're all heading over there now."

Kellin and I walked in hand and hand where we were either greeted with wide eyes or subtle smirks. My cheeks were burning either way. But I cared more about holding his hand than what anyone thought right now. Finally, I saw the guys. I waved them over.
"Well, look at this superstar." Jeremy said, wrapping his arm around me. Kellin shot him a look then quickly backed off. I couldn't help but smile. I was slowly learning he was the jealous type.
"You sounded great tonight, Kira." Sam said, already with a drink in hand. He looked over at Kellin.
"You too! Thanks for playing with us, that was awesome." Kellin smiled, nodding at Sam, but I could feel his hand move to my waist, pulling me closer to him. I secretly loved it.
"Thanks. Kira kinda just sprung that on me. She's lucky I know your stuff, or that would've been embarrassing." Everyone laughed. I had a feeling everyone would laugh and smile at everything he said, and I had a feeling he knew that.

Occasionally throughout the night I'd peek up at him only to catch him already peeking down at me. He leaned in.
"Just let me know when you wanna head out, okay?" He said, I nodded.
"Hey, can you give me a minute with these guys? I'll meet you right outside, okay?" He looked at them, then back to me and nodded.
"Sure." He said, he paid the tab and kissed the top of my head before heading outside.
"So that was a great show." I said, turning to the guys.
"Things are really getting serious with you two, aren't they?" Jeremy asked. I bit my lip, not quite sure how to even explain us.
"It's.. It's not a 'you two' we're.. we're friends." Even I couldn't believe that one.
"I want to be more than friends." I finally said. Jeremy smiled.
"Has Kira finally found the one?" He laughed. I rolled my eyes, gently shoving him.
"I don't know yet, but I kinda wanna find out."
"Well, he's definitely crazy about you, Kira. I can tell you that much. We're your own band and he got possessive over us touching you." I laughed.
"I noticed that." Jason smirked.
"And you loved it didn't you?" I nodded.
"Hey, um I didn't want to ask in front of him, but if his offer still stands, um.. would you mind if I stayed with him tonight?" I asked. Jeremy wrapped his arm around me again.
"Only because this is so new for you, Kira. And.. we can tell you really like this guy. And he could definitely help our careers." I shoved him. He laughed, coming right back.
"We'll allow it tonight." He joked "but then you have to rough it in the van like the rest of us on this tour. But he's more than welcome to join us there if he'd like.. I'd gladly trade places with him." I couldn't help but smile.
"Thanks guys." They nodded, pushing me towards the door.
"Now go get him."
