From Fat to Skinny

Ricci got hurt today.
She took a ball to the face. And went down. Like, if that isn't a red flag I don't know what is. But she just sprang back up to her feet, a bruise already forming on her cheek, and brushed off Ms. Severance’s concerns and attempted to keep playing. I bet if the teacher hadn't pulled her "I'm the adult here" card, Ricci wouldn't have stopped.
Makes me wonder what she'd do if she broke something and there wasn't anyone around to tell her not to keep going.
Kind of an admirable trait, but a little (okay, a lot) stupid.
I didn't say so to her to her face. She'd probably have laughed at my concern.
