Chapter 21
The bar was crowded when I got there, but I wasn't interested in a drink. When I spotted who I was looking for, I smiled. Taking a seat next to him, I watched as he lifted the glass to his lips and took a sip.
Then I cleared my throat.
Colin turned his head, his dark eyes roaming, and his lips curved into a smile. Then he leaned close and brushed his mouth against mine. He tasted of cigarettes and alcohol.
“I'm very happy to see you, J. Now let's get out of here.”
I couldn't have agreed more. As we left the bar, I couldn't shake the feeling of eyes on me. But when I looked around, I didn't see anyone.
Then I cleared my throat.
