Assassins

Chapter 5: The Debate

I woke up this morning with a message on my phone – it was a new job.

I immediately got ready and dressed in all black and prepared all my weapons. I loaded my guns, placed my knives neatly in place and of course cleaned up my rings before putting them on.

When I walked out I saw Merett on the couch watching tv.

“What’s up, Master?” He said as he flipped threw the channel.

“I’ve got a job.” I said.

“Eh?”

“Yeah and he’s a wealthy prick to.” I said.

“I guess I’ll be having fun cleaning his ass up.” said Merett.

I grinned, “You’ve got that right.” I said.

Merett threw me his keys and smiled with that dark smile of his that sends shivers throughout my body.

“You can have the car, but pay me back in my next clean up.” said Merett.

I nodded and left.

When I got into the car I noticed a laptop next to me. I couldn’t help but to smile; Merett was helping me get settled with adjusting to being out of jail by providing me with the essentials. I didn’t plan on getting any of this until after my next three jobs. Why? Well, I’m to fucking busy to search for a decent car and a laptop good enough for me to use when searching for information on my clients and pray.

When I arrived at a huge business office I couldn’t help but to sigh. This is the crappy part of my job if I had to point out one. I hate having to talk to stuck up clients, and sometimes I would much rather kill them. However, they do not give me money if dead, so work is work.

I walked inside and made my way to his office.

He was already waiting in his office with his feet up and a smile.

I sat down in the chair and waited.

“I have 10 million dollars to give you to kill this man.” He said and handed me a photo and on the back of it was an address.

“Mr. Rodney, what is your grudge against this man?” I asked slowly.

His smile fell, and I could see the hate consume his face.

“This man murdered my sole heir to my company, my only son. He tortured my son, and I want him dead.” He said.

I nodded and held out my hand for the money.

He slapped a fat briefcase on his desk and opened it to show me the money and then closed it and slid it towards me.

“I want him dead within 48 hours and I want proof.” said Rodney.

“Proof?” I couldn’t help but to laugh.

“You want his head?” I asked and then laughed again.

“I’ll take a picture but that’s about all your getting.” I said and then got up and waved my hand bye and left.

When I walked out of the building I noticed I had gotten another message for a job. I couldn’t help but to smile because before I got caught and thrown in jail along with Damien my lover at my side, we always got so many jobs. I think I was taking out about two people every other day and that’s not counting the idiots that didn’t stay away. Meaning the people who think they can save that person instead of calling the cops. Some people just get to amped up and can’t logically think in situations that could possibly involve death. I guess I also somewhat long for the run in with little Jackie Jack, god, I want to make fun of him. Funny, he beat the shit out of me when I got caught, but I kind of miss the prick.

I got into my new car Merett had gotten me and opened my laptop and quickly googled my new client.

Shaun White: Starter of his company, age: 50, Known for taking out smaller companies, filthy rich, Has a brother who is his rival in business, Has a family with two boys who are both in there early twenties. Wife doesn’t work.

Shaun is literally the classic rich guy with the power to destroy anyone. I drove to a coffee shop just two blocks down from where I was. I sat down and two minutes later Shaun White was sitting across from me. He pushed a vanilla envelope my way with the most serious look in his eyes.
“I need you to take out my brother without leaving any evidence, if you can make it look like an accident or suicide that’s how I want it.” He said in a stern voice.

I couldn’t help but to smirk, “Well BOSS, you’ve got to give me my money before I start to even give two SHITS on what you want.”

His eyes lowered slightly and a heavy sigh came from him and he pushed the briefcase he had under him to my side with his foot.

“I have 12 million in that briefcase but if I find out my brother is not dead within 72 hours I’m going to come after you and my money at full force. I will not be messed with by anyone, and I hope you do understand that. I will be a consistent client of yours once this job is done. You know what that means right? You’re pretty little face is going to have lots of money thrown at it.” said Shaun before laughing snobbishly.

My eyes narrowed and then I smirked once again before speaking, “Mr. White…do you think it’s smart to threaten an assassin? If so; you are a fucking moron who needs to learn when to shut it. I can easily find you and your family even if you were to hide. I’ll always find you, so how about you think twice when we speak again.”

He sat there quiet.

I stood up and grabbed the suitcase and left. When I got into the car I threw it on top of my other briefcase.

That man makes me want to throw the money in his face and make him eat his own words because it’s utter shit. Rich men always think they are so invincible to anyone. I can’t stand that.

I looked down at my phone and noticed I had gotten one more job.

Looks like I’m rather popular today.

I drove about ten miles before pulling up to surprisingly, a house.

I got out and walked straight to the front door, which opened right as I got to it. A man in his late twenties stood there with sad eyes.

“Come in…” He said.

He sat down on the couch and I sat down across from him.
“I don’t meet a lot of clients who are willing to let me inside there home.” I said.

“Well, I don’t care if I die.” He said and looked down and sighed heavily.

Well, this guy is depressing.

“I went through a lot of banks to get this money for you.” He said and then handed me a rather large envelope.

“It’s 500,000 dollars and I just…I don’t care how you do it I want Shaun White dead. He’s the reason why I’m here with nothing but boxes to move. He took out my business, and now my wife left me because of it. I don’t care if I’m in debt for the rest of my life, I want that fucker dead!” He threw his fist on the table and literally broke the glass.

I couldn’t help but to smile.

Looks like I get to kill Shaun White after all. I don’t turn down money even when it’s lower than a previous client. Why? Well, not everyone has a million dollars in there back pocket. So, in order to not have just rich asshole clients, I keep an open wallet. Which means I accept all money.

I got into my car and sighed and then grabbed my laptop and began to search for my first target.

I looked at the picture and began to look up the address. When I arrived I turned up the heater and yawned. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy easy people to assassin, but a challenge would hurt every now and then.

I listened to music for a couple of hours before I grabbed my gun from the backseat and began to load it. I made my way to the back door and took the tools from my pocket to unlock the door.

“This guy doesn’t even have an alarm system set up? This is too easy.” I said out loud before going inside. I slipped up the stairs quietly and made my way into the bedroom. I looked down at the man and then took out my gun.

In what swift shot to the head he was dead.

I took out my phone and snapped a picture and then made my way back to my car. I looked at the time in my car and when I looked up I saw Merett with his black bag full of cleaning supplies.

It looks like he got my text I sent before I got here. I smiled slightly and then drove back home.

When I came up to my door I saw Zane standing there.

“What are you doing here?” I asked.

“I haven’t seen you in awhile and I well, I guess I was just checking to make sure you are okay.” said Zane.

I didn’t have the heart to tell him that I just didn’t want to see him again. He’d want a reason if I said that, and even if I gave a reason it wouldn’t be good enough.

“Do you want to come inside?” I asked.

He nodded politely and I opened the door and he walked in.

I guess it’s good this kill didn’t get messy; otherwise I’d seriously have to kill him. Imagine me covered in blood and him with wide eyes. I’d have to kill him right away without hesitation.

I set my things in my room and he sat on the couch.

“Is this your new boyfriends?” asked Zane as he was pointing to a Merett’s shirt he had left.

“No, just a friend of mine.” I said.

He smiled and chuckled.

I gave him a questioning look.

“Well, you just didn’t seem like you liked having people around. I guess, I just thought maybe you would be lonely. I’m sorry if I bothered you at a bad time.” He said and looked down then back up like he felt bad for it.

I sat down next to him, “I’ve got those occasional friends that decide to come find me and hangout. My friends are the kind of people who know how to find me if I disappear.” I smiled before saying, “It used to scare me, but now it doesn’t faze me.”

“Because everyone can be found, Lottie?” said Zane with a smile as he had remembered my words to him.

He looked rather tired out, his hair hung in his face and his eyes.

I couldn’t help but to smile at his cute tired self. I placed my hand on his cheek and he leaned his cheek into my hand and looked into my eyes.

He then took a deep exhale sigh and collapsed onto my lap. My eyes widened with surprise and then I placed my hand at the back of his neck only to turn my hand and see blood.

I slowly shifted my eyes from one corner of the room to the other and took out my gun.

“Come out, come out, where ever you are.” I said as I slowly stood up and allowed Zane’s head to rest on the couch.

I was to foolishly distracted by Zane and I didn’t realize that something smelt very off.

I began to walk around to the other rooms.

“Come out you piece of shit.” I said.

When I came into the living room I saw a man with his gun pointed at Zane.

“You know, when I overheard my brother was going to send an assassin, I thought perhaps I should hire myself one to take you out. However I’ve got skills of my own and I’d rather harnest that.” Said the man.

I began to laugh, “You are my next prey, and you’ve come and found me? You just made my job so much easier.” I said before cocking the gun.

“Don’t move or I’ll shoot him!” He yelled.

“Oh? Loosing it now? Go ahead, you fucking piece of shit.” I said before charging right at him. My eyes were keen on his finger that was on the trigger. The moment he pulled to shoot I shot him in the head the same instant I kicked his hand back. He ended up shooting the wall, and on the ground bleeding out on my floor because I shot the piece of shit in his head.

He wasn’t even an assassin and he thought he could take me on? He doesn’t have the speed and clearly he’s a fucking idiot. Yet another idiot who decides to take fate into there own hands against someone who has been doing this her whole god damn life.

The front door started opening and I pointed my gun towards it.

“WHOA! LOTTIE! I just got done cleaning up your last mess and you’ve already made a mess again!” said Merett walking in with his black bag and he then threw it right next to the mans body.

“Well you are a cleaner Merett.” I said.

“Yeah but I always thought making the mess was way more fucking fun!” said Merett and he began taking out his tools.

“Funny how prey number two just made my job so easy.” I said.

“Yeah but if he was a little more skilled, and Zane was bait, you would’ve had more of a struggle. I told you to drop Zane, Lottie. He will be your downfall.” said Merett.

“Shut up. You’re paid to clean, nothing more.” I said.

“Yikes! No need to be irritated. You should probably take him away from the living room.” said Merett.

It would be unfortunate if he saw this.

I grabbed one of Zane’s arms and put it over my shoulder and slowly dragged him into my room.

“You bumped your head.” I said out loud before laying next to him.

Yeah that sounds convincing enough… I think. Tomorrow I’ll get to finish off my last job. Shaun White.
