Midnight

Midnight memories.

How crazy is it going to be?" Londyn asked as they headed to Liam's causing Harry to laugh, "Who knows. They know more people than I ever imagined."

She chuckled as they pulled up to the house, cars already lining the street.

"Great."

Harry snickered as they parked. He met her on her side of the car and swiftly grabbed up her hand. She liked how protective of her he was even if it was something not so important.

Harry didn't bother to knock just walked in, his hand still linked with Londyn's.

"Well look who showed up!"

Zayn was the first one to notice them and Harry rolled his eyes from the remark, "It's only 8. I would say it's pretty early to show up."

Zayn waved his hand, "Nah."

"Are you drunk?" Londyn asked giggling.

"Maybe. Maybe not. Hey, you look pretty tonight, not that you ever don't but you know."

"Thanks." Londyn replied with a grin and Harry glared at him.

"What?! Sorry, forgot. Your girlfriend. I'll walk away now."

Londyn's face turned red and Harry let out a sigh, "And I think I need a drink, want something?"

"No need."

Niall appeared in front of them and flashed a smile as he held out a cup to the girl.

"Oh I see how it is." Harry spoke as he let go of Londyn's hand to walk to the kitchen.

Londyn laughed, "Thank you."

"My pleasure."

"So Zayn is..."

"Drunk? I noticed." Niall said through his laughter.

"And you aren't?"

"It takes a lot. I'm Irish after all."

"Ah yes how could I forget?"

"You can't. You said my accent was sexy."

Londyn couldn't help but laugh at that simply because he was right.

Once in the kitchen Harry grabbed up a beer and immediately ran into Louis.

"Well hello mate. Where's your girl?"

"Out there with Niall."

"Oh so no objection?"

"I've given up. There's no point in doing that, it gets me no where." He replied twisting off the cap.

Louis chuckled, "You're right. I won't mention it again. Try and have a good time yeah? And watch out for Niall, because he may try to make a move and I know she isn't your girl but still..."

Harry sighed, "Yeah, yeah."

Louis patted his shoulder before leaving him alone. He breathed in before taking a gulp of his beer. He wasn't normal Harry when she was around. It's like he couldn't be the life of the party, typical crazy Harry he was when he drank. Some part of him wouldn't allow himself to. She was here and he felt like he had to live up to her standards of him. He didn't know if that was a good or bad thing.

Harry immediately grabbed up another beer before waking to the living room where Londyn was laughing it up with Sophia and Niall. It's not that he had a problem with her liking him or vise Versa, he just, well... He didn't want it to happen. The idea of sharing her didn't seem appealing to him.

He slipped his way beside her and she flashed him a smile before continuing her conversation. He couldn't help but wonder if maybe she wanted space from him. Hell they were always together and here he was right beside her at a party meant for socializing. He looked around the room, remembering a few people but the others not so much. He decided to walk over to Liam who was talking to some guy he didn't know.

"Get bored over there?" Liam asked before the other guy excused himself.

Harry shrugged, "Just trying to give Londyn space."

"What? Why? Are you two still fighting?"

"No, I just feel like we are together all the time and now we are at a party and if she wants to socialize she should."

Liam raised his eyebrow at the boy, "Harry, you're friends. I'm sure she doesn't mind."

"Still..."

Liam sighed, "You overthink everything. The funny thing is if you stay over here long enough I bet she will come over. You two can't apparently be apart."

Harry rolled his eyes as he glanced at the group by him.

"Harry, if you like her there's nothing wrong with that you know?"

Harry brought his beer to his lips before shaking his head.

"I don't." He replied looking back at Liam.

"Ok, ok. Well, then have another beer because you're stressing me out."

The later it got the more intoxicated Londyn got. She didn't even realize it, until it was too late to do anything about it.

"Where is Harry?" She asked Sophia who was trying to hand her a cup of who knows what and she swatted at her hand.

"Good question."

"I want to find him."

"Of course you do."

"Shut up. I love him. He's my best friend."

"Mhm. I'm sure."

Londyn ignored her as she walked into the living room and immediately ran into Louis.

"Hey you. Have you seen Harry?" She asked and he pointed at the stairs.

"I think he went to use the restroom."

She nodded and headed up the too many stairs in her opinion. As soon as she reached the top Harry walked out of the bathroom.

"I've been looking for you." She said throwing her arms around him in relief. Everything always felt way more dramatic the more alcohol consumed.

Harry laughed, "And why is that?"

"I don't know. I just feel safer if I'm drunk and with you."

Harry wrapped his arms around her, "You're always safe with me, Lon. You know that." He whispered against her hair.

"So sweet Harry Styles."

He chuckled, "I've never seen you this drunk."

"I've never seen you this sober."

"Oh whatever."

"This is why I don't drink. Just stay with me so I don't try and make out with Niall."

"Are you wanting to?" He asked as she pulled away.

"No, but drunk me will most definitely."

"Who are you?!"

She laughed as he held her hand and walked her back down to the living room.

"Just think of it this way, you're flirty sober, I'm flirty drunk."

"I see. Well if the urge comes over just flirt with me. I won't take it to heart."

"Oh thanks."

He chuckled, "just saying, and you don't have to worry about me taking advantage of you."

"At least that's what you say."

"Sweetie, I've had plenty of opportunities to do so and I haven't have I?"

"You're right."

"Londyn!" Zayn yelled swiftly picking her up and she squealed. How was the boy still functioning she wasn't sure.

"Where have you been?" He asked once he placed her back on her feet.

"With Harry."

"You left my beer pong team for Harry?!"

"I mean look at this face, how could I say no?" She joked as she grabbed Harry by the chin.

Harry scoffed, "Oh I'm sure that's it."

Zayn pouted, "But Louis sucks."

"She really needs to cool the drinking."

"Since when are you all responsible?" He asked Harry who rolled his eyes. Apparently he had no control. At least that's what everyone assumed.

"He always is." Londyn replied for him and Zayn scoffed, "Yeah..."

Harry glared at the boy as he placed his arm around Londyn, "Right well carry on." He spoke waving off the boy.

"Can I borrow her?!" Niall asked walking up out of nowhere and grabbing Londyn's free hand.

"What is up with everyone?! No! You can't!"

Niall threw up his hands, "Calm down, I just wanted to show her a video we were talking about."

Londyn told him she would be over there in a minute and once he walked away she turned to Harry. He now had his arms crossed and that serious look on his face that she found attractive.

"What's wrong?" She asked and he shook his head, "Nothing. Just too sober for this I think."

"Do you want to go? I'm totally ok with that."

He stared at her and she pulled his arms apart, grabbing his hand once they were free.

"Come on. I'm tired and I can just feel how hung over I'll be already."

Harry snickered as he followed her outside not bothering to say bye to anyone. They finally found his car and the ride back to their apartments was only ten minutes away.

"Harry." She spoke once they were out of the car.

"Yeah?"

"Carry me."

He chuckled as he swiftly picked her up and headed for the elevator.

"I love you. You're awesome."

"Love you too, Lon."

"Can we sleep at your place?"

"I feel like I should just buy you a bed just like mine." He replied as he pressed the button for the 6th floor instead of the 5th.

"No, I just like yours." She mumbled against his shirt.

"And why is that?"

"Smells like you, and I like sleeping in your t-shirts."

Harry looked down at the girl before the elevator dinged open. He breathed in as he walked to the door and he placed her on her feet to fish his keys from his pocket.

"I'm really proud of myself." She stated as she walked in behind him. He locked the door instantly as he laughed, "why?"

"Because I didn't kiss anyone!" She replied as she took off her shoes.

"The night is still young..."

She laughed, "You're the only person here, Harry."

The boy shrugged as he followed her to his room, "I'm not against making out, love."

"Ew no."

"You've never made out with me! You don't know if it's ew!"

"I'm not saying it is, I'm just saying it would be weird!"

He scoffed as he kicked off his jeans and he then realized that they have a nightly ritual of getting to bed. He held his jeans in his hands as he watched her pull up her hair like she typically did before sliding on his shirt. He chuckled at how they have become before he climbed into bed.

"What are you laughing at?"

"How we are like an old married couple. It's pretty sad."

"Why because we think it's weird to kiss?"

Harry laughed, "No, but I guess that could be part of it too."

Londyn turned on her side to face him, he clearly was tired she could tell just from his eyes and she brought her hand to him, brushing away the hair from his face.

"I don't want to kiss you, Harry Styles not because it's weird but because, I'm scared to do that with you."

"Why?" He got out at a whisper and she grinned weakly as she traced over his jaw.

"Because you're you."

"Why is that a bad thing?"

"You have a way of making things seem whimsical. It's part of your charm and I don't want to be given a reason to be in that."

A frown immediately lined his lips, "So basically you think if you kiss me, you will start liking me and that apparently I'm not someone to like?"

"Did I say that?"

"No, but I'm basically someone you wouldn't want to like even though you seem to think i'm a pretty decent person."

"I don't think you're just a decent person, Harry. I think you're an amazing person."

He didn't bother to respond and she scooted closer to him.

"Harry..." She whispered out and his eyes met hers.

"To be such a good looking guy you have a few insecurities."

Harry rolled his eyes and she grinned, "Harry, you're the perfect guy. I can promise you that."

"Ok, now you're drunk is showing."

"I like you sober and drunk so no."

He sighed before touching his forehead to hers, "You're the most perfect girl if that makes it any better."

She kissed his cheek before cuddling to him. His arm wrapped tightly around her as she said good night. His mind was now in overdrive. What did he exactly feel for her?

Yay. Update. Better late than never, yeah? ;)

Let me just say, the buzzfeed article of the girls hysterically crying over Zayn leaving one direction made my day. If you haven't seen it look it up! The question is, does it make me a bad person for finding it so humorous?...

Anyways, besides that!
