Status: In transition...

Midnight

She's not afraid.

"So..." Harry said once they had said goodbye to the guys and got back into the car.

"So, I like them." She replied with a grin. He nodded with a smile of his own. He was always proud in some way when new people hung out with them and they liked his friends as much as he did.

"They like you. At least if they don't they fooled me too."

She shoved him lightly causing him to laugh. Once they pulled up back at the apartment building, Harry looked over at her, "You ready?"

"Guess so."

He flashed her a smile before opening the door, taking her hand with his free one.

"Stay close." He got out, realizing there were a lot more people then before.

"You aren't this cool. They do know that, right?" She joked holding onto him as he tried to get to the door to the apartment building.

"Afraid not." He chuckled out before excusing himself and her through the crowd of people like he was to blame.

"It's going to be very scandalous when I don't leave later." She joked with a wink as they waited on the elevator.

"Even more scandalous when I leave and go somewhere without you tomorrow."

She chuckled as she leaned against the railing in the elevator not really thinking of much besides the article she now had to write.

"You know, those pictures are going to end up somewhere, right?" He stated bringing her out of her own thoughts. Her eyes met his and although hers were green as well, She couldn't help but realize they were no where near as bright as his.

"Guess it doesn't matter now." She replied coolly and he shrugged, "I mean, it can. If you completely hate the thought of that I'll tell them you are a relative and we can't hang out again like that."

"Are you trying to get rid of me Harry Styles?" She asked with a smirk and he rolled his eyes as the elevator doors opened to her floor.

"No, I enjoy your company, but if you felt that way I would do it."

"Ah well, as of right now, I'm ok."

"Of course, well this a first in our relationship." He replied as they reached her door.

"You're right! Our friendship went up a level."

"Yeah, we do things a bit backwards obviously."

She chuckled as she flashed him a smile, "Although I'm going to be up all night writing, I had fun today with you guys."

"Good, so did I. I'll leave you alone tonight so you won't be distracted."

"Oh thanks. Goodnight."

He nodded, leaning in and kissing her cheek before heading back to the elevator. She truly didn't believe he was the jerk she joked about him being.

Once she let herself in, she locked the door and kicked off her boots. She was a bit tired from the days events but she had to get to business.

She walked to her room quickly, slipping on a pair of pajama shorts and a shirt before pulling up her hair in a bun. She had to get comfortable before she began to write for hours.

Once she was settled she headed to the living room and grabbed up her laptop before sitting on the couch. Hopefully this wouldn't take that much time. She spent the next few hours perfecting her work before sending it in an email to her editor. She didn't even realize how long she had been working until she grabbed for her phone and realized it was almost 9 at night. She groaned, sitting the laptop on the table in front of her before stretching out on the couch. Next time she couldn't wait last minute to do this. No matter what Harry said.

"Is this you working?"

She glanced over to see Harry climbing into her window.

"Is this you staying away?" She shot back.

"Point taken." He stated as be closed the window before pulling off his coat.

"I just finished actually."

"Ah I see." He replied, picking her legs up in order to sit down before letting them rest against his thighs.

"My place is boring." He added with a sigh before falling onto his side, his head relaxing against the couch and her.

She laughed, "I think you have ADD."

"Would explain a lot actually."

She chuckled once more before running her fingers through his wavy hair.

"So are you excited for your show Saturday?"

"Yeah, it will be fun as always."

"And them what? The album comes out? You go on tour?" She questioned, unsure of the process.

"Yeah, well after this show, we have to go to the states for an award show."

"Really? Where?"

"I think California. Is that were you're from?" He asked raising up to look at her. He realized he had never even asked her.

She chuckled at the curious look on his face, "No, I'm from Georgia."

"Shouldn't you be more country? I've met people from Atlanta and the accent is different." He teased and she laughed, "I try really hard not to sound too southern."

He flashed a smile before speaking, "Come with us. You can be my date."

"Um no."

"Um, yes. It'll be fun. Plus, I know you have a rather attractive red dress that still has the tags on it in your closet."

"How do you know that?!"

He shrugged, "I got bored one night when you fell asleep on the couch."

"Great." She grumbled and he chuckled, "So you're coming."

"Didn't say that."

"Please." He said batting his eyes causing her to scoff.

"Please." He continued to beg, his bottom lip now poking out for an even more dramatic effect.

"Ok!"

Almost immediately his pout turned into one of those stomach turning smile of his.

"Do you always get your way, popstar?" She asked and he scoffed, "Hardly."

She laughed and he relaxed back against the couch, "So the guys really liked you just so you know. Niall called me like right after I left you."

"I love his accent. Seriously. I don't think I remember anything he talked about because I got lost in it..."

Harry rolled his eyes, "Seriously?"

"Yes, it's pretty dreamy."

"Don't tell him that, he may try to ask you out."

"Is that a bad thing?" She asked with a raised eyebrow and he groaned, letting his face hit the couch.

"Yes, it can be."

"Why? He can't be worse than you."

"I'm offended by that."

"So how many exes of yours are we going to see at this music award show?" She asked changing the subject.

Harry didn't bother to move his head, he just held up his middle finger at her causing her to laugh.

"That many, huh?"

"I can't help girls like me..."

"...or that you do them wrong and now I'm going to have death threats after those pictures come out and we go together."

"I did no such thing."

"Doubt it."

He raised up and glared at her which she ignored, "I'm tired."

"I'm not carrying you to your bed. You're awake."

"Jerk! And I never asked you even when I am asleep!"

He rolled his eyes and she threw her arms around his neck, "Harryyyyy!"

He groaned, but gave in like she assumed he would. He quickly moved from the couch before picking her up.

"You're right. I'm scared now." She said through her laughter as he carried her to her bed.

"I'll drop you." He threatened only then to lay her on the bed. She chuckled as he climbed over her and laid down with a sigh.

"So I'll buy you a plane ticket tomorrow."

She groaned as she buried her face into her pillow.

"I mean I'll try and swap thing around so you can sit by one of us though."

"You're so stubborn you realize that, right?"

"Because I don't take no for an answer? Then I guess so."

She glared as she relaxed her head on the pillow, "Well as long as you know."

He chuckled, "Go to sleep." He replied, placing his hand on her cheek.

"Are you staying here?"

He shrugged before placing his hands behind his head, "Maybe. It'll be boring otherwise."

She stared at him as he kept his eyes on the ceiling. She couldn't help but wonder if it was something else besides that.

"That's fine, but don't sleep on my bed with shoes." She mumbled pulling the blanket closer to her. She didn't mind him staying the night. She trusted him obviously. He grinned before kicking them off and climbing under the cover as if an invitation was all he was waiting for.

"Goodnight." She mumbled out before shutting her eyes.

"Goodnight, Londyn." He whispered and before she even knew what happened she felt his lips hit her forehead, "You're a good friend."

She couldn't help the grin that hit her sleepy face before he laid back on his pillow.

*******

Londyn woke up the next morning to a quiet apartment for once. The only thing out of the ordinary was the arm placed around her. She squinted to look beside her only to remember Harry stayed the night and he clearly was still passed out.

"Harry." She whispered trying to wake him in order to move.

"Mhm." He mumbled and she was still uncertain if he was awake.

"Move."

"You move."

She tried not to laugh as she spoke, "I can't."

"Well who's fault is that? Sleep. You're so weird. Who likes mornings as much as you do?!" He whined as he buried his face into the pillow, his arm around her holding on tighter.

"And you're even a jerk in the morning!"

He raised up, glaring at her as best as he could with his now sleepy eyes.

"I'm actually really nice to you."

"Well shit, that explains a lot about your past relationships."

"Ha-ha." He mocked as he removed his arm from her before falling back on the pillow, "Maybe if it wasn't so bloody bright in here you would sleep longer."

She chuckled as she watched him immediately move from the bed, not exactly sure what he was doing.

"Look..." He stated, closing her bedroom door before walking over to the windows and closing the dark curtains.

"And?" She questioned as he climbed back on the bed.

"Let's pretend it's still night and not 8 in the bloody morning." He replied flashing a smile before tugging off his shirt.

"I feel like you've gotten way too comfortable around me."

"I mean you can take your shirt off too if it will make you feel better..."

She slapped at his arm lightly causing him to laugh.

"Please sleep." He whined against her shoulder and she rolled her eyes, relaxing back against her pillow. She shut her eyes only because she really didn't have that much sleep last night and what would be the harm in a few more hours?

....It was more than a few hours though. The next time she woke up it was already one in the after noon and to her surprise Harry wasn't in bed anymore.

She yawned before forcing herself out of bed and trekking into the living room where the television was now on.

"Harry?" She called out and he yelled that he was in the kitchen. She followed his voice and once she walked in he flashed her a smile.

"Please tell me you didn't make any of this." She stated noticing the breakfast food on the counters which consisted of bagels and fruit.

"Well no but this is me being nice so don't ruin it."

"Are you wearing my shirt?" She asked noticing the band shirt hanging on his frame.

He scoffed, "This is not yours. It may be in your closet, but this is definitely too big for you."

"Well, it was an exboyfriends but still, you going through my closet is getting disturbing." She replied pushing herself up onto the counter and grabbing up a half of a bagel.

"How did you get someone to make fresh bagels at noon?" She asked as he poured a cup of coffee for her.

"I'm Harry Styles, darling."

"No you just didn't!"

He busted out laughing and she chuckled as he nudged her knee, "Look, this is why I'm not sweet to you. You always try to down me!"

"Ok, ok. Sorry. This is truly nice, thank you." She replied, placing a kiss on his cheek. He smiled as he handed her the coffee mug.

"I told Niall you are coming with us."

She rolled her eyes and he laughed, "What? They love you!"

"So you just tell Niall?"

Harry smirked, "Well, he loves you more if I'm being honest."

"Good he can just whisper sweet Irish nothings to me all night."

"....really?"

Londyn busted out laughing and Harry shook his head although a grin lined his lips.

"Just eat. Then go get ready. We're going to meet the guys in a bit and I think Liam's girlfriend."

She hopped from her seat and finished off the last of her bagel.

"Take your own advice, Styles!" She stated as she headed to her room. She wasn't going to argue about hanging out with them again. She was hoping this would be her shot at making actual friends instead of the people she talked to from work every now and then.

Who knew having Harry around would be so beneficial?
