Midnight

One thing.

Harry watched Londyn from where he sat. Her laughter filled the yard making his smile grow a bit brighter. The past few days spent in Georgia had done something to him. He felt like a different person. Then again, maybe that was because he was away from the chaos of his normal life. He liked the simplicity of this place. Sitting on the porch with Londyn's family at night, as they started a bonfire and had a few drinks. Sure, it sounded so boring to most but he had grown fond of this town and this family.

"This humidity is making your hair so curly." Londyn said now standing in front of him.

"Thanks for pointing that out."

She smiled, "It's pretty cute actually." She replied moving his hair from his face.

Harry rolled his eyes, "I'm sure."

She sat beside him, now that the fire was in full force.

"Kind of sad that we leave tomorrow." She stated, linking her arm with his.

"Yeah, me too. We'll have to come back soon."

She looked up at him and he grinned before looking back at the fire. He felt like the past few days with her also made him view her in a different light. Not in some sort of romantic way, just different. It was hard to explain.

"So you're telling me you haven't dated anyone there yet?" Abby asked from where she sat.

Londyn shot her a look and before she could speak Harry interjected, "Hard to find someone when you've met the best looking guy in England."

Londyn rolled her eyes as her brother laughed, "I mean she did meet one direction!" He said sarcastically. The few beers he had now making him more outspoken.

"He's right, have you seen the cute blonde one from the band?"

Harry's eyes narrowed at her and she couldn't help but laugh.

"Well kids, I think I need to call it a night, it's late and I have to work tomorrow." Garrett spoke and Helen looked at her phone, "Yeah I have to get up early too. It's already midnight."

"Which means you need to go home too." Garrett said to Abby causing the girl to roll her eyes as he stood from his seat.

"Want me to put this out?" He asked Londyn and she shook her head no, "I think I can handle it."

"I don't know, you've been in England a while."

Harry chuckled as the others said goodnight to the pair.

"Text me when you get home." She called out to Abby who simply kept walking, "Ok, mom."

"You're so loved." Harry stated as he pulled her wrist to him and took the hair tie off of it.

"Sure, you can have that."

He flashed her a smile before quickly pulling his hair up.

"Guess we should go to bed also since we have to leave tomorrow." She stated as she moved from her seat.

"Mhm, I guess."

She chuckled as she held her hand out to him. He smirked as he placed his hand in hers with no intention of getting up.

"Harry!" She replied tugging on his hand when she realized she couldn't move him.

He let out a laugh as he forced himself up from the chair.

"It's so much fun to mess with you."

"I'm sure."

"Now go ahead and put this out so I can watch and learn something." He replied removing his hand from hers.

"What? How to be a man?" She asked and he faked a laugh causing her to giggle.

"It's actually about to burn out so it's fine if we leave it."

"Now you know, only you can prevent Forest fires." He stated pointing at her, his face now in a serious manner.

Londyn's laughter filled the backyard and she had to cover her mouth to control the noise as he grabbed her, chuckling himself and pulling her towards the house.

"You're a silly girl."

"I am?! You said it not me!"

"Shhh." He got out, his wide smile showing off the dimples she found cute.

They crept inside, his hand holding tightly on hers as they made their way to the room.

"This room is a mess FYI." He stated as she closed the door behind them.

She looked over his shoulder and chuckled, "You're messy."

"Um, pretty sure it isn't just me, darling."

"I say it is." She replied walking over to the bed.

"You're right...because I look stunning in this." He spoke, and she looked over to see him holding up a dress she had thrown in the floor.

Londyn laughed as she pulled off her shoes, "Ok, point taken."

"Basically together we are a disaster."

"I like to call it an organized mess."

Harry chuckled as he stripped down to his boxers causing Londyn to whistle.

"Shush." He replied sticking his tongue out as he crawled onto the bed.

She couldn't help but laugh and his eyes locked with hers as he laid his head on the pillow.

"Go change."

"Bossy."

He smiled as she moved in order to change clothes. Harry closed his eyes, the late hour now effecting him. He felt himself drifting to sleep only to hear the door open.

"Oh sorry..." He heard Helen say and Londyn laughed, "It's ok, just changing into pajamas."

"With the light on." Harry mumbled causing Helen to chuckle, "With a not so happy Harry."

"Oh it's just Harry. He will be ok."

"Just Harry, the hottest guy in the world. No big deal." He mumbled not bothering to open his eyes.

Londyn laughed, "Ignore him, what's up?"

"What time are you leaving tomorrow?"

"Oh, um..."

"Ten. I swear without me she would be lost."

Londyn rolled her eyes, "I guess ten."

"No guessing to be had my dear, it's ten."

"No one is even talking to you, Harry!"

Helen laughed from the door, "Ok, well I'll just leave you two now..."

"Goodnight."

Helen shut the door and Londyn turned the lights out before laying beside the boy. Of course she immediately hit him in the shoulder when she did.

"Owe! What was that for?!"

"For being you!"

"Oh well thanks! Way to make me feel so confident about myself!"

"Oh please!"

The room grew quiet and Harry chuckled softly as he adjusted his pillow.

"Sweet dreams, Lon."

"Sweet dreams, Harry." She replied patting his cheek and he narrowed his eyes at her.

"How I've been around you this long is beyond me."

"Oh trust me, I've asked myself the same thing about you."

"Oh please. We get along quite well actually."

"I know, which I'm not sure what that says about me."

Harry smiled, "Oh hush. If you didn't like hanging out with me, I wouldn't be here right now."

"I guess, or I've just grown use to putting up with you."

"Doubtful."

"Or I'm using you for your friends."

"Possible, I assume."

"Oh whatever." She replied with laughter.

"Go to sleep!"

"You started it."

"Did not."

"Take responsibilities for your own actions, Harry."

Harry rolled his eyes from her statement, "Goodnightttt."

"Night." She replied as she got settled. The room grew quiet and a few seconds had passed before Londyn whispered out his name.

"Yes?" He mumbled, a part of him wanting to laugh at how much she was like him and she didn't even realize it.

"I'm going to miss you when you go on tour. I just thought about it and wanted to tell you."

A soft laugh left his lips as he opened his eyes just enough to look at her, "Not as much as I'll miss you, Lon. I can promise you that." He whispered out as he placed his arm around her and kissed her temple.

The next morning went as expected, Londyn was done packing and Harry of course was running around trying to finish.

"I would be lying if I said this wasn't amusing." She spoke from the bedroom door and he immediately glared at her.

She snickered and before he could speak her brother walked up behind her, "Well I have to head to work, be careful on your way home and call me so I can know you made it."

She nodded as they hugged and he looked over her shoulder at Harry.

"Harry, it was nice to meet you. You should come back some time."

"I most definitely will. Take care."

"You know, next time you two come back, I'm hoping it's as more than just friends." Her brother whispered to her and her mouth fell open, "Excuse me?"

"I'm just saying, I like him. Why not?"

"Well if you like him then what am I waiting for?!" She replied sarcastically and he rolled his eyes, "goodbye now. Love you. Have a good trip."

Once he was gone she looked back at Harry who was now zipping up his suitcase.

"My brother loves you just so you know."

Harry chuckled, "I like him too"

"He basically told me that if next time we come here and if we aren't married he will be mad."

Harry let out a laugh, "Alright well I guess I'll plan a wedding in between now and the next visit."

She chuckled as she leaned against the door frame.

"Look, I'm done. It's a miracle."

"Great, well my family should be here soon and Helen said she would take us to the airport."

"Alright well I'll go ahead and carry this down." He replied grabbing the handle of her suitcase along with his own.

Needless to say by the time they arrived at the airport they were basically running to catch their flight.

"This is your fault." She said to him as he dragged her to the door they had to go through to board the plane.

"My fault?!"

"You're really chatty! I kept saying, Harry we gotta go. Harry, we are going to be late. Harry, stop chatting like a girl."

"Oh whatever!" He replied still holding onto her hand as he handed the woman at the door took their tickets.

He thanked the woman and flashed her a smile causing Londyn to roll her eyes.

"Even an old lady..." She mumbled and he shot her a look, "What?"

"Nothing at all."

"Stop being a jerk." He whispered as they quickly found their seats.

"I wasn't."

"You were."

She sighed and she laid her head back against the seat.

"I don't wanna go back."

"I know." He replied with a weak grin. It was funny to him really, how their conversations could go from bickering to all calm again within seconds.

"And then you're leaving." She added relaxing against his shoulder.

"Weren't you just yelling at me?"

"Doesn't mean I don't like you, Harry."

The boy chuckled, "I see, well, we won't be leaving for a few days after we get back. Plus, shouldn't you be tired of me already?"

"Should. I know. But I'm oddly not. Don't tell anyone."

"I'm not tired of you either. Don't tell anyone that either." He chuckled honestly and a woman's voice came over the intercom telling them to put their seatbelts on.

"Secrets safe with me, Styles." She stated as she buckled herself in.

"So your phone hasn't been blowing up with girls who haven't seen you in a week?" She teased and he immediately rolled his eyes. He had his phone on him of course but he oddly hadn't been attached to it like normal. The only people he had paid attention to was the guys and his family.

"I've ignored text so I'm not really certain."

"Whoa, what's gotten into you?!" She teased.

"I know, I mean if it bothers you I can invite someone over to my flat tonight."

"I mean that's up to you, just give me a heads up so I can leave the window unlocked."

Harry scoffed, "Do you ever lock it?"

"I may start."

"Nonsense."

"Yeah and make you face your mistakes."

"Not mistakes, just not very smart decisions."

"Look at you being all optimistic!" She replied hitting his chest with the back of her hand.

"You know, not everyone can be perfect like you Miss Jensen."

"I know. It's really hard work." She replied sarcastically and he tried not to laugh.

"Well, lucky for you, I'm just going to have the guys over tonight. So I shall stay perfect as well."

"Already miss them?" She teased and he wiggled his eyebrows, "Oh yeah."

Londyn couldn't help but laugh, "Yeah, they aren't that bad."

"I know. So you'll be there."

"You think so?"

"I know so. Don't make me send Louis down to get you. He will cause everyone on your floor to complain." He replied, relaxing against his seat.

"Fine. I will be there."

"Lovely. Now I'm going to nap." He said flashing her a smile and she rolled her eyes as he adjusted in his seat.

This was going to be a long trip back.
