A Special Kind of Love

When I wake up again Kevin is pulling into the driveway of my mom's house and I let out a sigh of relief when I see Vic's truck in the drive. Once Kevin helps me get out of the car and Kate with her bags we go to the house where we are greeted by my mom and Vic.

"Kate it's amazing to see you, and little Copeland." My mom says as she goes over to the girls, giving me and Kevin a quick hug before she passes. I then go over to Vic who has a huge smile on his face.

"I've missed you so much baby." I say quietly before I brush my lips lightly against his and wrap my arms around his neck. Vic gives a small laugh before placing one hand on my waist and the other on the side of my stomach.

"Kells, you saw me this morning when I took you to school." He says with a laugh before giving me a soft kiss which causes the twins to kick a little harder and I let out a sigh.

"Alex, Audrey please calm down." I say, removing my arms from around Vic and placing both on my stomach as the twins continue to kick.

"Kellin, who is this nice looking guy?" Katelynne asks me and I smile as Vic hugs me from behind. "This is my boyfriend Vic." I say and I move to the side standing next to Vic.

"Is he the one who got you pregnant?" Kate asks and I give a small nod. I assume Kate isn't going to be kind much longer. My assumption is proven true when she slaps Vic causing everyone to jump.

"How could you do this to him? " Kate all but yells at Vic who looks fucking terrified. Did I mention that Kate isn't good with first impressions?

"Kate, there's no need to hit my boyfriend. He had promised he is going to take care of the three of us and I trust him. " I say, both my brother and mom nodding in agreement.

"Three? What do you mean three? I swear I'm going to-" "Kate." I say so she will stop talking. "I know your worried about me but you need to behave because Vic and I share an apartment. " I say and she nods before glaring at Vic. "Still don't like you." She says before talking Copeland from my mom and messing up my brothers hair.

I go over and sit on the couch with Vic while everyone else talks and I rest my head on Vic's shoulder.

"Kate, why don't you leave Cope with the boys and you can come help me with dinner?" My mom asks and Kate nods before handing Cope to Kevin and walking off with my mom towards the kitchen. Kevin's gives Vic and I a confused look before setting Cope next to me on the couch and going up to his room. I roll my eyes at him before turning to look at Cope.

"Hi sweetie, you excited to stay with Vic and I?" I asked and she shrugged just looking over my shoulder at Vic.

"Everything okay?" I ask and she shrugs before moving close to me and cuddling into my side.

"Is she okay?" Vic asks quietly and I nod. "I think she's just a bit tired." I say as I push some hair from Copeland face. She squirms around a little, obviously trying to get comfortable but moves away after a minute with a pout on her face.

"Youw not comfy." She says and I give a small laugh as I feel the twins start to kick again which causes me to frown. Why must they kick so hard?

Copeland, obviously not satisfied with me, crawls into Vic's lap and curls up against him. He gives me a surprised look and mouths 'what do I do' and I give him a small smile before resting my head on his shoulder and rubbing my stomach gently.

"There's only one thing you can do." I say quietly so I don't disturb Copeland. Vic wraps one arm around my shoulder and holds Copeland so she doesn't fall over.

"What exactly is that?" He asks quietly and I close my eyes before answering. "Get used to it." I say quietly and he places a small kiss on the side of my head.

We sit in comfortable silence for another half hour or so when Katte comes back into the family room.

"Dinner's almost read. Where's Cope?" She asks and Vic motions for her to come over, not wanting to move and wake her up. When Kate sees Cope asleep in Vic's lap she awe's softly before shaking her daughter's shoulder gently.

"Cope sweetie please get up, it's time to eat." Kate says softly to the sleeping girl who stirs slightly before opening her eyes sleepily and cuddling up to Vic who still looks surprised by the action. Kate then picks up Cope and Vic helps me stand before wrapping an am loosely around my waist.

"Ya know, you're going to have to get used to that." I say quietly as we walk into the dinning room.

"I guess I will." He says before giving me a small smile as everyone sits down to eat.
